@livelifejessica DO NOT LEAVE THE SITUATION AS IT IS. This is most definitely torture for a Border Collie. This breed is by definition a working dog and generally unsuited as a pet. Most likely your border collie is aggressive because of lack of mental and physical stimulation. This can lead to OCD and/or Neurosis. Please don't leave your dog chained up. You can message and I can direct you to a veteran online Border Collie community who can give you better advice.

This beautiful boy is a dead ringer for a border collie I had a few years ago. He had a whole repetoire of trick, and I never had to train him. I would show him once or twice and that was it. You have to own one to know how brilliant they are. Once they establish that special bond with you, they will give their all. I'd have a dozen if I lived on a farm.

I think it would help to not give her a treat until she actually says "hello". That way, she knows she will need to say it loud enough and with two growls, rather than a grunt. Cute dog though. :) I would like to train a corgi to speak whenever I have the time to own one. :)

@Silvia1826 Silvia, behave, it's a pet, not a slave. Withdraw the treat until the dog learns to speak proper English. 

So many dog lovers get obsessed with training their pets to make sounds similar to humans. I prefer mines to bark in his own language.

I'm sure the owners in this video love their dog very much and would never withold his treat, despite the silly advice.
