They were in high school, some people (a lot) make those mistakes. Peyton for not being completely honest with herself and Brooke for not noticing that her best friend was lying. Because of that, they made bigger mistakes. But as Karen said: Best friends can forgive each other anything. Which they did. They're pretty strong together.
