250k @ (Current tax rate = 35%) = 88k

With Obama @ 39% = 98k

This means you pay 10k more. Not exactly a cause to fire someone, lower productivity and lose hundreds of thousands in contracts. There has always been different tax brackets for different levels of income This is not socialism., just a new way of restructuring the tax brackets. Socialism my foot!

Well the monthly breakdown is around 833. If the choice is have employee x or a extra capital for a cushion in case the business or owner needs the capital then the business owner is likely going to go without hiring or maybe even firing someone to save that extra 10k. It is socialism when the govt takes 10k and redistributes it to people who don't pay property taxes in the first place. Limited government produces jobs. Expanded government produces the well fare/nanny state.

I think people are often forgetting the fact that Obama's plan also taxes corporations starting at $200K not $250K. So, if you're earning $250K from your small company, your corporation is likely earning $200K. Thus, your corporation is taxed as well as yourself with the government earning a total of 70%. Not exactly fair. If you're paying a few middle-class salaries, they're taxed at 25% as well. Government is then earning 95% and giving that money away to the bottom 33% who don't pay anything.

Stephen Moore, the other guest, started a group called Club For Growth, which ran misleading attack ads against Huckabee during his run, accusing him of wanting to raise taxes. Huckabee then invited him on this show to mislead people about Obama's tax plan. Joe the Plumber made $40,000 last year according to public records. He will receive a large tax cut under Obama. Huckabee realized Moore's skill in manipulating ignorant people and thought he'd be the perfect guest for his show.

As a Canadian, who is now an American, I can assure you that the Canadian lady is in the minority in Canada - which is why I was glad to get out. I came to the U.S. because I want to be an American. You were born here, and I am sure would rather be something else. I voted with my feet, why don't you vote with your feet - and don't let the door hit you in the butt.

I hope all the digging into Joe's past by the lefty blogs helps Joe out instead of crushing him like they had planned. I guess that's what you get for asking any REAL tough questions of Obama. He chose to answer the question that way. No one forced him to have socialist views. Everyone's just upset because he was forced to explain why he wants to punish people for hard work and reward those who haven't worked as hard.

I have no doubt Joe will be getting lots of job offers once the election settles down. After all, how many future employees to you get to vet like the media have vetted Joe. And what did we learn, Joe really is just your average, blue collar guy trying to get ahead. Add hypocritical to the list. My brother-in-law is 25 yrs old & a tree-hugging lib. He attended a community college where his parents & him were to pay a 3rd of the expenses. He defaulted on his loan and Mommy footed the bill after he dropped out 6mos before graduating. He now hitchikes across the country spreading free love and peace-rarely showers. He collects welfare because "they owe it to me" and mommy still pays his health insurance. If he works its under the table so he doesn't pay taxes.
