  • Seadollars is way wrong please check your facts and just because the 3x2 isn't there does not mean it isn't a L88 long block .

  • L88, solid lift, close chamber square port heads, 4 bolt main?

  • cant wait to put mine in something anyone got a 1970 chevelle ss shell for sale?

  • sounds healthy

  • how much are you selling the engine for.. i have a 1971 chevy nova .. needs a engine and tranny

  • this ain't 435 horsepower. the only corvette motor in '67 that made 435 horsepower was the Tri-Power 427, which had three Rochester 2bbl's on it.

  • @SeaDollarsBertram You're correct, but they may have just thrown an intake and carb on there to get it running.

  • Good one -----------

  • Yep, the 350 came in many HP variations with the highest being the 350HP LT1 in 69. Vettes through the years had everything from 6 cylinders to small blocks and big blocks. Some of the 8 cyl cubic inches were 265, 283, 327, 350, 396, 427, 454

  • @Jtedd Lt-1 was manufactured in 1970. 69 350 hp was the L-46

  • @Jtedd and when they had 6 cyl engins (1953-1955) they were equipped with 3 single barrel carbs that produced 150hp (for 1953) and 155hp (for 54 and 55). the only other cars produced by chevy at the time made only 115hp (untill 1955 when the chevy 265ci V8 came out).

  • @Jtedd The 6 cylinder was called a "BLUE FLAME" 6.

  • what sizes did the corvette motors come in? 427 and 454 right? but what's with the 350 chevy motor, was that used in a corvette aswell?

  • 427s and 454s use the same 3963512 block, the to tell the difference check the crank #, also 454 cranks are externally balanced and have counterweights in the flexplate and harmonic damper. 427s use internally balanced 396 cranks. Hope this helps.

  • i just bought a 72 corvette and i know its a big block cause it got big valve covers but i dont know if its a 427 or 454. the owner died so did'nt got any info. can any body tell me the difference or how can i find out?

    Thank you

  • I have 1970 Vette, I had the same problem when I first bought it..

Anyways, look at the engine Block Casting number at the back left side next to distributor... If it's something like 3963512 it's a 454

  • @mart92xbox360 Google Bro

  • You can decode the engine casting number, but if it's the original engine it will be a 454. 427 finished in '69 in Corvettes.

  • great sound

  • The engine of my #1 dreamcar!

  • can't beat a perfectly timed and tuned gm bigblock, just hit the key, barely rolls over and it is running, wonderful sound and is as smooth as silk

  • whats the reasoning behind selling the motor out of the vette bigger one going in?

  • Oh yea that belongs in a Camaro!

  • Belongs in a '67 Corvette. The Camaro wouldn't be worthy of such a classic beast.

  • I would prefer the Camaro, Ive never been a fan of sport cars like corvetts and porsche. Hot rods and muscle cars for me. Corvetts will always be an American icon I think the best sport car ever!! But when it comes to muscle and drag racing the Camaro is King!!

  • Great video. Thanks much for sharing it!

  • why on earth would u take a 427 out of a corvette to sell it?

  • We didn't. The car in the background is a complete #'s matching restoration we did and this motor was one we found at a friends garage. He removed it from a guys car 10 years ago and put an all out race motor in. I'm sure that guy is kicking himself.

  • i bet he is too...oh well sounds good anyway

  • nice

  • very nice sound..my uncle was a huge corvette fan, to the point he moved to near bowling green Kentucky..i love the sound of old gm muscle
