  • who needs them to sing we will sing along with him

  • it's weird listening to this without a roomful of people singing along too.

  • very few songs about friends nowadays. it quite nice too see the odd song about friendship.

  • his best song in my opinion its brilliant!

    awesome live to!!

  • 2:11

  • lmfao at the overenthusiastic guy at 2:11

i actually love this song, sing it alllllll the time!

  • Not sure if I'm supposed to do this, but everyone who likes this song NEEDS to check out this version. Look up the version from Manchester Academy 1 on the 17th of March 2010! I was there so I'm kind of bias but seriously, everytime I watch it back, it gives me goosebumps of the collosal variety :) Enjoy responsibly :P Frank is GOD! :D

  • I'm so in love with Frank and his music =)

  • i'm so in love with Frank and his music...

he always makes me laugh and cry =)

  • I always sing this when I'm walking home drunk.

  • amazing

  • him crying during the song makes it 1000x more powerful

  • song is definitely one of my favorites!

  • This is really good :)

  • I love this man.. <3

  • so good :)

  • i saw him live at larmer tree festival wooooo!

  • I love Frank Turner!

  • @matthewgbvw Fuck off he is so good

  • @matthewgbvw not really a busker when you consider he was in million dead..

  • @shirehorse Anyone who performs on a street, regardless of background, is by definition a busker.

  • @Hamsammich111 well they could be regarded as a street performer and considering he probebly has a home, busker seem's a bit out of context, does'nt really look homeless does he ?

  • @trigg2803 I dont ynderstand how street peformer implies that they have no home

  • @Hamsammich111 are you reading something different to what i have written mate ? busking implies that you have nothing or very little and do this as a way of survival, where as street performer's dont have an open guitar case full of penny's at there side, they do it to get noticed , not to live. so imo the busking comment is way out of context, there is a BIG diffrence.

  • @trigg2803 "Street performance or busking is the practice of performing in public places for money. People engaging in this practice are called street performers, buskers, street musicians, minstrels, or troubadours."

    ?

  • @trigg2803 busk (bsk)

    intr.v. busked, busk·ing, busks

To play music or perform entertainment in a public place, usually while soliciting money.

    ??

  • @trigg2803 Just out of interest, what is the point that you're actually making here, and what is it you think I'm saying?

  • @Hamsammich111 dunno anymore, dont really care either, might have got the wrong end of the stick, could'nt be asked to go through all the past comment's to find out what it all started from but the point i'm trying to make ( i think ) is that street performing and busking are worlds apart ie the money factor, anyway sorry for rattling your cage

  • so fucking good man..

  • efffin great song

  • i think this is the only artist me and my GF truely like, Amazing singer/songwriter

  • Love this old school version, sounds much rawer than the vid i took last year

  • Amazing (L)!

  • I like to touch little girls.

  • amaaazing :)

  • this is at nambucca in north london not battersea barge, he says it himself...

"tonight im playing another nambucca show"...he changes it to every venue he plays

...yes quite the frank turner geek you see :)

  • @gutznglitter not quite true as far as I'm aware my fellow ft fan. The original lyrics are"tonight i'm playing another nambucca show" due to the affinity he holds with the pub, sadly now no more. He often changes it from that to suit the place he plays, but also often just sings Nambucca. Saw him in Newcastle in match and he deffo sang it like that. Also, check out his past gigs on his website, June 3rd 2006: Battersea Barge.

For I too am a bit of an FT geek! :)

  • @pascalpedro you tell 'em!

  • this song actually inspired me to go on a road trip from CT to CA this summer. i'm not 100% sure why but it did.

  • the lyrics are so true.

"and we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell"

  • It's called projecting your voice.

  • @shutyourfingmouth the yelling hardly makes him a bad songwriter. his lyrics are genius.

  • amazing. He's going to choachella and but i wont be in town to see him! fuckkkk

  • :)i fucken love this song:]

    <33

  • music to give a shit a bout is what this is

  • i discovered him when i saw the offspring and sum41 over the summer. he was there and played a few songs. im so glad that i heard his music.

this is my favorite song by him defenitely

  • yeah, i saw him with the offspring and pennywise, he was totaly out of his elemnt on that big ol stage but i fell in love with his music

  • amazing

  • this guys music means sumthin, i lyk it

  • i'm deffently going to hell, but i'll hav all the best stories to tell.

  • he has a great voice but i agree with you about dylan just amazing poet dylan is great

  • although dylan is a legend... i think this guy could be as good. musical prowess isnt measured in how technically accurate you are but in how much people can "hear" what youre trying to say. and i can hear this guy so much. he is the dylan for the chemical generation.

nice to hear his name mentioned in the same context of dylan!!

  • nah i think he has an amazingly good voice live when he starts shouting the lyrics its phenomenal!! and its not fully folk which he is put into its folk-punk so snot needed as much as if it was pure folk.

  • yea i love frank turner but i wasent a huge million dead. i think his message and voice is so much better for folk than punk (was million dead even really punk? whatever not relevent)

  • fuck you

  • I listened to him in the band Million Dead and like him here way more. His voice works very well for folk and he still has those punk rock lyrics. Great.

  • amazing!..love this song

  • I once saw him in the toilets once, but since it was the first gig of his i went to, i didn't know it was him until i saw him on stage! That gig was excellent

  • reading 09 ftw!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love his music, it's real unlike alot of music nowadays.

  • Ya, he opened for offspring and Sum 41, I was pissed off at my friend for being late and making me miss his show. I'm for sure going to catch him on a later date though

  • Frank is amazing, I play his albums everyday and still haven't got tired of them, his lyrics and music are great. His even better when you see him in person :o)

  • had never heard of him till i saw him opening for the GASLIGHT ANTHEM, gonna go and see him when he tours in October

  • i saw him with penny wise and offspring

  • a bit pessimistic Frank, I still believe that music can change the peoples perceptions and the musicians have the power to educate and inspire compassion.

  • Comment removed

  • i saw him with dkm and the offspring on the 30th

  • YES WE'RE DEFFINATELY GOING TO HELL!! But we'll have alll the best stories to tell! Killer line ;D

  • 1 of his songs was on itunes as single of the week a couple of weeks ago thats how i stumbled upon his music

  • AH I love this with a passion :)

  • This guy is a legend. I've lost count of how many times ive seen him solo or with a band. I think he's finally gotten a spot in my top 5 favourite artists.

  • I hear dat. Million Dead were my first gig, so Frank Turner makes me feel quite sentimental.

  • "And if you're all about the destination then take a fucking flight."

    Awsome line

  • Hes coming to Dublin on the 4th of March! Can't wait!

    i know i can't spell

  • what a tit you really are (bradkerber)

  • LMAO!!!

  • I saw Frank at Y Not on saturday he was fucking awesome definitely in the top 3 acts of the weekend.

Seriously though frank Turner is one of the greatest Singer/Songwriter talents the UK has to offer. At least he isn't like the prefabricated shit off the xfactor he has real talent.

  • Ha ha! Top comment. I couldn't agree more. Kind of sums up music at the moment. This guys top. Listening to his songs reminds me of discovering Dylan for the first time.

  • reminds me of me a bit. hhaha

  • haha, me too... a lot of his songs do, acutally. guess that's why he's so awesome :)

  • I hope he doesnt become huge, so hes still accessible. But thats a selfish thought, just want him to be there for us.

If you like Frank Turner, do check out Dustin Kensrue (solo stuff from Thrice mainman) and Dallas Green (City and Colour, solo stuff from Alexisonfire mainman)

  • as good as those two are, they dont really sound much like frank turner or embody the same kind of attitudes

  • bobbydand, I think musically all broadly make downto earth common man's music with a guitar and sometimes harmonica

  • would also check out kevin devine and chuck ragan. two really solid acts

  • i love this song , and i love frank turner aswell , went to see him a few weeks back , it wo wikid

  • great song for the small circles this huge talent moves in : he is the Ali G of music. He will be HUGE! Mainly based on his ability to be so crass, and piss of non-fans. Great stuff, in its own grubby way. Is he related to Derren Brown ....

  • i like

  • Frank Turner will be doing a special live performance at my student radio station, followed by the Holloways! I can't wait to meet him :)

  • frank i saw u at hatfield u were fit and i liked ur charisma x

  • frank played an awesome gig at the Old Red House pub in workington! fucking brilliant got to see him at a small venue before he becomes massive!

  • you... need to go and fucking die in a pile of shit.

you cunt, i'd like to see you write anything better.....

    FRANK FOR THE WIN

  • haldenver you couldnt write a better song to save your life, he has loads of talent more than alot of musicians

  • i agree wholeheartedly with the other 2. but lol, you couldn't even spell ballad right. you need to do something useful with those remaining few brain cells. douche.

  • first time i heard this gut tonight realy good

  • I simply cannot wait to see him at King Tuts in a few weeks time. Awesome song.

  • meaningful lyrics i can relate too but not too depressing song brilliant kid love him

  • class song.

  • amazin!!!!!!!

  • Frank Turner is a fecking Legend. Seen him many times, and every one, from Million Dead to solo, was money well spent.

  • agreed.

  • best lyric- were defiantly going to hell but we'll hav all the best stories to tell!!!

  • one of his better songs imo. But I love all his stuff. It sounded better live when I saw it; less angry.
