The camry v6 is fast , I have one but, I just call it like I see it the exahaust looks awkward on your camry and it doesnt matter what springs u have they will not outlast the factory springs, and just looks weird on a camry. The se actually sits lower from the factory, and off course its far from sporty but, if your gonna tune a camry might as well get a se . Too be honest the se v6 camrys, all they need are some 19' or 20' rims and they look fantastic ! without anything else .
Dont you know the camry comes the way it is from the factory for a reason ? you go and change all these things, in reality your making this car worth less and in the long run you will pay, the xle is the most luxurious why wouldnt you keep it like that ? wtf ? its like you payed to make this car perform and look cheaper .
@Godblesseveryone4 don't really care about the value, car is paid off. Has only about 48k miles on it. It's a camry, will be fine. Don't plan on keeping it longer than for another 2-3 years. Its a car, its a hobby. Cars come and go. To each his own right?
You can get anything a xle has on a se model plus MORE !!!!! and looks better ! with a tuned suspension from factory ! why fix up a xle ? They look better stock !
I wish you would have had the foresight to do a series of "how to" videos. such as how to install the halo lights. And how to install the K&N air filter. And how to install the lighted door sills, etc. etc. etc.
@coutonbou yes would be great!...anything electrical I had it done by a shop. Headlights were done at a shop (although I now look back, I could've easily had done it myself in under 30 mins). K&N filter was pretty easy, take the old one out, had a few screws attached to it, bolt this one in place. Door sill lights had to do with wiring under the carpet and thru the rocker panels, and wiring it to the fuse box, so had a shop do that also.
@Godblesseveryone4 true...but really happy with this XLE...when i got this, they had no V6 SE's at my dealership as they were still pushing 06's off the lot. Wait time for SE was about 3 months. Went with the XLE V6 and loving it every bit!
@viggen16 Na, the se still looks better and has a better suspension from the factory, your gonna pay for changing your springs in a couple years anyways, yur shocks are gonna be gone . BTW the xle still looks like a base model ! Your exahaust is too big for a camry too look clean, rims are too small, if your gonna put rims on a camry they gotta be the right rims otherwise they look cheap on a toyota ! I have 20' xxr 521 silver with a 3.25 lip something like that, not just putting on anything!
@Godblesseveryone4 ok. 1. I changed it to TRD springs according to camry specs. 2. I changed the shocks. 3. I did not want the SE with the body kit. My personal preference is to keep it simple, no body kit. 4. If you truly believe SE is the "Sport" model, fyi this is just a family sedan I made the best i could with a given budget. Take the "Sport" in SE very lightly, because it is nothing that will blow you out of this world. 5. As far as rims go, I chose 18's, yea could've gone with 19's
@viggen16 now regret not going with 19's, but it's all cool. 20's are insane. I am planning on taking the car with me to philly, bad roads, winter, snow, and 20's don't make a good combo in driving (that is if i do take the car out to drive, most of the time will not).
i dont really like the interior wood trim or color if you can get custom seats on it do it it improves the whole interoir even though you may have done that already since this vids more than a year old
@TCMODS also, once you lower it, it's hard to find a place who will do wheel alignment, which is a must because once lower the car, everything is affect from camber to tow. I found a place luckily near me that had a ramp built into the ground so the car won't hit (even thought its not THAT lowered). They charged a bit more ($65 for front two wheels), but thats what you get get when you are a car enthusiast :)
@TCMODS your regular place like tire plus/tire kingdom/pep boys don't do lowered cars because their ramp for alignment is above the ground so the car would rub against the ramp while going up.
@TheMrmetromane nice, was just around west palm area yesterday. I think, ever since i had the car, i spent anywhere between $5,000-$6,000 including labor on the car (includes everything from led bulbs to rims)
@neibourguy i won't know about the techincalties of engine fitment. Best is get the engine dimensions, your engine bay dimensions, maybe present it to mechanics or the people on toyota forums and see what they say
@viggen16 Hey Viggen16, i like the way your car looks buddy, it looks very clean, so much respect to you and your car. And i have a question if you don't mind, do you remember your outer bore hub ring size for your wheels, was it 73mm? I know the hub size for the camry is 60.1
Where did u get your air intake and are u havering any problems with it. I want to get one for mine but I am worried it will screw up my mass air flow sensor. So Plz let me know where u got yours and how it is going with it.
@bolor777 its going great buddy...no problems whatsoever...MAF is prefectly fine...got it placed almost a yr ago...and when flooring, this beast screams!...but don't floor it too much...maybe once in a blue moon. :)
Thats a fucking shitty camry. worst camry on youtube. its so bad that im going to find where you live and take a shit on your car and take some of that and stuff it in your magnaflow exhausts. you shuld be ashmaed of having such a crappy car. go FUK A GOAT you goat killer. fuckin lame
@smockdoiley Dude what the hell are you talking about.. I have never said anything about the speed and how fast this car is. Dam i have my Camry XLE V6 2011. And stock put 274 HP and that number is respectable for a family sedan under 30.000 US$
dude awesome camry, i have a 2010 v6 le camry with borla exhaust and stock led lights and the trd springs look so good but bc i live in new york, i cant do that, ur giving me ideas on what else i can put on, question, where did u get the chrome grill cover?
@BigKiddStats I was one of the first ones that got this car in Orlando....go it in december 06 (they were still pushing out 06 models off the lot) and they didn't have any fully loaded SE's in stock (was a one mont wait). Glad i got this though. It made me learn more and appreciate my car more. If I would've gotten the SE, it would already be factory mod (somewhat). Better to do everything yourself to bond with your car :)
I got to tell you this is one of the best camry ever men look realy nice men good job.
