  • This is totally me! and the way he's telling it in, like freakin stressed out all the time.. yep, thats me.

  • yeah i dont use cups to turn taps in sink i use toilet roll lol does anyone else do that, and i use toilet roll for handles or my sleeve.

  • Excellent video. It helps people that don't understand OCD see what we as sufferers deal with everyday. Thank you.

  • the towel is contaminated at 4:16, from the first time you dried them after touching the contaminated tap haha

  • @OCDMeetUpForum I reacted to that too!

  • Thank u.Brilliant depiction of ocd hell and as u know this was just the first 5 minutes of waking up. Made me smile i could relate so much. I want everyone out there 2 know that i believe there is a grand design behind our ocd. It has gifts that u could ntve got without it .MAKE IT COUNT. Evrything happens 4 a reason. Some of the gifts it gave me was understanding the power of beliefs. Thats all we need change here .BELIEFS. Question ,challenge change them.

  • Get a peace to your life with an Asian girl lushfmlk.info

  • it looks like dis is fucking fake!!!!

  • My big time O.C.D. PROBLEM is. I can't stand anyone in the entire planet Earth eating with their mouth open or talking with food in their mouth. The sound get's me annoyed. I do have a couple of O.C.D. things myself. Nice video, this was funny. I am working on making an O.C.D. funny cartoon of myself to make fun of my own O.C.D.

  • @hpdragon723 thats not ocd thats called being annoyed

  • This video is very funny. There is help. For instance, solutiontherapiesonline. -c-o-m is a great one. He seemed to look like he has a panic attack as well.

  • click click boom

  • wassup rick rick

  • Awesome video. Very realistic.

    Kori (ocd sufferer)

  • YEP I could really feel it especially with the "what if I hit somebody" The worst in my case is intrusive thoughts. I;m making a video log about OCD right now, and I haven't even described my OCD on the video yet because thats how scary they are to me, thanks for making this !!

  • This is exactly what OCD is like. I've done things EXACTLY like this. haha. it made me smile.

  • this shouldn't make you smile if you really had ocd.

  • I really do have OCD. And yes, I do things like this. It makes me feel better to know that other people do them too.

  • Good job BDK! You're not as big a zilch as EB says you are :)

  • This is exactly what ocd is like, it always makes ya check things you care about.

  • 2:05, exit the strategy? Is that OCD? I'm starting to think OCD is really HBD: Human Behavior Disorder. Did you read "The Snowball"? O&C on money, and you keep the doctors away.

  • ugh...i hate that cause it's like omg i don't want a disease, and i really don't wanna spread it on to other people!!! Good job on this video, wait nvm, GREAT job on this video!

  • oer. thats really good.

  • good job re-enacting and describing what actually goes on in an person with ocd's mind. i think it's great to have films like this so people can try to understand the disorder.

ocd truly is a disorder about "what ifs" and doubt.

  • Wow, blood and dents. What kind of crazy nights have you had? I'm pretty sure the first part is normal, post-drunken night paranoia.

  • dude your hands touched the pavement, that would make me freak out.

  • Great video really sums it up.

  • Don't say you could never. I drive and I am always so worried if I do something wrong I will get pulled over and not be able to deal with that and I will hit someone etc. But you have to work through it.

  • Thank you for this video.

It totally sums up the irrational, stupid fears I get that can't possibly come true but what if they do? Then it'd be my fault so i have to do whatever makes them go away.

I wish I could get help but I'm always scared that my OCD isn't bad enough to get help and I'd be wasting people's time

  • That's not true at all King! Find a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist you like and can trust and you can be greatly helped no matter how small or large your problem may seem. It may take time and hard work, but the payoff is worth it.

  • Yea it's tough!

  • I know exactly what your dealing with, not so much about the germs and the hand washing. I have to check doors several times before leaving them, and I wake up in the middle of the night to check the stove even though i know hadnt even turned it on. Im reading a book called Brain Lock thats been helpful, everyday im doing a little more of what use to cause my ocd panic attacks, and once i do it a few times I find that I can do them over and over again, still alot of work.

  • hahah. I have OCD as well. I park the car, check that its in park about 10 times, then get out lock the door, check that its locked, then walk away while looking back like 10 times before I can completely understand that its locked. Besides that I'm not too bad lol. Dont worry people we are all crazy.

  • People with OCD should just become pot heads! Then it wouldnt matter so much..

  • I find smoking pot has helped me in the past, it helps you to escape your anxiety. But it's the worst thing possible for you to do. I stay clear of that crap now ah

  • i no i think im ready 4 help

  • what's up everyone...this is kevin mccarthy, i directed the film above...I appreciate everyone watching the movie and taking the time to comment on their own experiences...it is definitely a tough thing to have and I still struggle to this day and i am 24 years old...medication is fine but the side effects are awful...my main worries now deal with the accident worry with my car...i hate that...u-turns are the worst...i can relate to everything everyone has said on here.

  • I can sooooo relate to this. At my worst I was washing soap! Can you believe it??? Washing soap!!

  • When the impulse screams at you to do whatever it is your conscious mind knows is crazy, DON'T. That cunt of a disease robbed me of literally years of my life, until I came to the realization that the hellish existence simply couldn't go on like that any longer. Need to avoid the square on the floor? - force yourself TO step on it on purpose. Need to wash or count or check or avoid touching something again? DO THE OPPOSITE and watch how you don't die. You CAN beat it into submission like I did.

  • I try that alot with my ocd. But when i dont do what this impulse or idea or belief that im doing something wrong, because myne is with sin and God, everything i do that might be sin, i feel like it is one and have to punish myself bcause if i dont i am letting myself believe what im doing isnt really wrong , or wht the impulse is tellng me so when i do the opposite of what the impulse tells me then i automatically give myself or start having headaches, or my heart starts beating fast

  • Joshscottwilk, here's what you need to remember - God doesn't want you to have to live like that! He loves you and wants you to live a fulfilling life!! By doing what the compulsions tell you to, you're not somehow pleasing God, in fact it's just the opposite. OCD lies! He put you in this world to take care of other people AND be happy yourself. Not to say that doing God's true will is an easy thing, he does throw obstacles in our path...(continued in my next post)

  • (continued) But he does not put more in our way than we can overcome with faith and strength from within. God does not want you to wash again and again, or leave the TV on channel 5, or whatever your personal impulses are. He DOES want you to to finally leave the torment behind you so that you can live a happy OCD-free life. Only when that happens will you be ready for the real reason he put you on this earth. Remember, being happy is not the sin, giving in to the OCD is the sin.

  • i would rather have ocd for life than be you for a second.

  • i just know that soon my heart is going to explode because i keep having these feelings or impulses and keep doing the opposite of what they are telling me. IT sucks. Does that happen to you, or does this eventually go away?? I hope so, my life sucks!

  • joshscottwilk, if it's really awful see a psychiatrist. But let me reassure you that when I was little I had bad OCD, but as I got older it got better on it's own. A lot better. Most of it went away. =) But it took a couple of years.

  • yeah ocd is a mother fucking cunt! anyone with ocd don't listen to what your ocd tells you! just say stfu ocd i'm getting on with my life!

  • Glad to hear it! Life's way too short to give in to OCD. Telling OCD to go to hell is tough, but it is SO worth it.

  • @ladiesman8000 wat r u trying to say? that it is easy 2 overcome ocd? its not!

  • @LiamEhni not at all. I know it's not it was just a way of looking at things.

  • @ladiesman8000 well i am now doing my best 2 (i think i have) i know! i have

  • how about using a foot to turn it off! i know excactly what your goin through mate.

  • This is a good movie. I can truly relate this. It is frustrating.

  • Good video

  • I have OCD to

  • i cant step on cracks...

  • Me neither!

And if I do accidently, I have to go back and step on it in the same place on the other foot...

  • i have OCD but its a spiritual sense, i need to read my bible at completely random times, i have to say "Jesus is Lord go away Satan" all the time. I can't stop thinking about God lol. Some peeps might think this is good, but dam man, it fricken sucks

  • i have OCD but its a spiritual sense, i need to read my bible at completely random times, i have to say "Jesus is Lord go away Satan" all the time. I can't stop thinking about God lol. Some peeps might think this is good, but dam man, it fricken sucks

  • My life is practly the same buddy.

  • oh god I think I have a light case of ocd

  • Yeah I totally relate to this video.

  • At 5:02 it looks like someone threw something at his bed.

  • haha that was awesome! I can so relate to the part about the hand washing. Whenever I touch something I'm always like "eww gross I have diseases all over my hand'! lol

  • Such a simple idea for a video about OCD, executed amazingly. Brilliant. I cringed a hell of a lot.

  • God I can relate to this! Especially the part where you turn the tap off for the first time. The thing is most people would think that this IS a parody, it isn't really. Nothing is really exagerated. My day really is wasted doing stupid stuff like this. Very good video! I love the voice over and it was very funny!

  • I used my elbow to turn the faucit on and off.

  • I did some extensive neuropsychological testing, and I scored abnormally high on the OCD rating scale; upon further interviewing, my doctor determined I did not have the criteria for Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder; many of the traits/symptoms overlap with ADHD and other anxiety disorders...Great Film!

  • Does anyone know the cure. I am like praying and believe that God is going to heal me hopefully. Why doesnt the medication work?? Or am i just crazy..

  • Ive got OCD and im thinking now that it wont go away cus Ive tried to make it go away since I was 7 years old and now im 17, Ive tried alot! I doubt it will go away, sorry to say but I think these medications are just crap.

  • Try reading the Bible, Romans. Roamans Ch 8, vs 6 " The mind of a sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; vs 7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. Vs 15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you recieved the Spirit of sonship. Pray and reading his word is helping me deal with my ocd. Not trying to preach but if you believe in him and pray about it he will help you. :)

  • I dont belive in god :)

  • What is it like in Norway?? What do you put your hopes in then??

  • dont have any hopes anymore about curing the ocd but hopefully I can live without the ocd affecting me too much

  • Well, thats a good thing to beleive in. OCD bites. I beleive that somehow there is a cure inside of us. Beleive! :)

  • thats a nice thought :)

  • Nobody has to believe in God.

  • I dont blame you. I have ocpd and I know this f'n bites. The only reason I even looked at this stupid video is to find answeres. I guess for this stupid fn sickness there isnt one,. Except that its a living Hell. I am praying and belive in God, though this is my obsession am still believing that he is the answere and that he can heal the sick. I know that prob doesnt make you feel any better, but thats what I am doing. I feel ur pain..

  • OCD or whatever you want to call it is a real pain. But God can get you over it. We live in a messed up world and "OCD" is just one of the results of this. But God does want us to prosper and I really believe that He can help us. My main problem is cumpulsive thoughts but if you tell yourself you can STOP and trust in Him to help then eventually you can stop. Knowing that life is way better if you stop OCDing helps too.

  • I have ocd, I believe in God, but its becoming hard to believe in him and I feel like avoiding christ cuz ocd is still the same. or getting worst !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, but remember OCD affects your beliefs or "feelings" about things. And to believe in Christ and follow his ways is to change thinking to have peace and to have something to turn to when you cant overcome OCD yourself. :)

  • Faith is the substance of things hoped for. If you put your hopes in nothing you will get nothing in return. Just the law of attraction. Try reading as a man thinketh by James allen. This is a real good book and uses biblical principals and has a lot of good ideas.

  • that is exictly the same. have ocd to

  • Dude. This sounds like my head. Except my obsession or whatever you would like to call it is with religion, things being sin, and yeah, i am going f$%^$ crazy. First I had a bad trip on E then panic attacks, then now ocd. And mynes bad im on the verge of killing myself. have a nice day.

  • Dont kill yourself :(

  • well this is true but i have like a little bit of ocd

  • lol

  • all of u who say its weired or funny u dnt no how it feels.

i'd like to see you live with OCD.

    so shutup coz its hard..

  • I have ocd and i hate it! when i go into my bedroom i have to turn the light off and on and thouch it and check if someone is hiding under my bed.

  • My boyfriend had OCD but I helped him and he doesnt have it anymore. I want to help people with there OCD if you think you need help email me I will try my best to help. Just click my name and my profile and email will be shown.

  • Great video, I completely understand what you have to go through.

  • I'm OCD too, nightmare I know how U feel.

I have 2 put the TV volume up to either 3, 7, 5, 2, or 25 or a number with at least one of those in it, except if it's got 6,4 or 8 or 18 in it.

And I have 2 check if the door is locked at least 3 times when I'm going 2 school and need to do things on the right that I've done on the left more.

  • anxiety + ocd= :(

  • I know i have anxiety and OCD too, it is bad but i am getting rid of both so it aint gonna last forever don't worry.

  • Good job on the video.

I know that feeling of thinking what if thoughts even before your fully awake!

The non stop thinking......grrrrrrrr agrivatiting as hell!

I used to wash my cooking utinsils each time it touched the uncooked food and lived in constant fear of contaminating my family with food poisoning.

Again you hit the nail on the head with your video!

  • Ugh, I think I have ocd, too. I hate it. :(

    Good video, though.

  • OMG you are just like me! Im terrified of cars but i manage to ride in them when neccessary...id rather ride in a car than mass trans cuz all the people too close and all the diseases. same with going to the doc, i hate being in the waiting room with sick people. soo i wash my hands contantly and always have hand sanitizer with me at all times and tons of other stuff..i just recently got diagnosed with OCD, so i know it sux!

  • haha i used to not touch the faucet too, turn the light on/off 4 times. and without my nail touching the end of the light switch. if i touch the swith with my nail i had to turn it on again 2 more times. and if i was to go in the bathroom i couldn't look in the mirror. and if i did look in the mirror, i had to walk in/out the bathroom 2 more times. and EVERYTHING HAD to be even. and sometimes i had to keep the volume of the TV on even, and then sometimes i HAD to keep it on odd.

  • fuck ocd

  • ok!

  • Fuck YOu OCD!!!

  • very good portrayal. I think some OCDers don't do rituals, and its almost worse short-term since they can't get relief. But I guess they learn more quickly that they have to face anxiety head on.

  • very real

  • I hate my OCD!!!! I hate my ANXIETY!!!

  • I used to have the germ thing now I have the thoughts thing gosshhhh my OCD is annoying.

  • and to the person who made the video: great video!!!

  • i have had OCD 2 years really badly but it is cooling down now phew

  • i do the socket thing it suckssssss!

  • same

  • Thanks a million for this video. Absolutely brilliant. I have the driving thing! Not cool at all!

  • salgkjop, this is called OCD obsecion compulisve disorder HE CANT STOP!!!! its an urge like when you have to use the bathroom you HAVE to do it!!! if he tryes not to...trust me he wil go CRAZY!!! I have OCD pretty bad.....ive tryed...its fucking HELL!!! so shut up!! habbit disordaare? fucking moron@!!!

    BTW!!! nice video!!

    =]]]

  • Wow. I do the electric socket and I don't even have the balls to drive -- I worry about hurting people even when walking around. It's much harder to see that it's a pathetic cycle when you're living it. I really appreciate that you made this video.

  • Hey, BDK, felt yourself.

  • good job bud. love the junkies, keep up the good work. i want your job.

  • Nice Rav4 you donkey.

  • This looks like a habit addiction. As long as you repeat the act, the habit grows stronger. What if you stopped the habit? If someone said you die if you dont stop doing this.

  • salgkjop, I wish it was that easy, but it isn't.

To the person who made this video: I totally feel for you, I have literally those same thoughts...but about different subjects. Like homework

  • i have ocd and i have all these things. but if i think my hands are dirty when i know they're really not i just lick my hands real quick then i know if there was a disese im already infected so i dont have to try not to anymore.

  • This video does a great job showing the sheer exhaustion that comes with OCD. With my OCD, my brain was like a police scanner -- always scanning for the next deadly circumstance. I have gotten relief from therapy, medication and from my faith.

  • this is like so true! im ocd and these are seriously the thoughts we have!

  • so regulating his diet and getting exercise fixed a severe chemical imbalance?

  • @skaterboy1984

my brother got his ocd under control by becoming vegetarian and joining an ultimate frisbee league.

  • Very good display of what OCD is and how it feels... good job!

  • i used to have ocd but i tried to ignore it and it eventually went away$

  • how do you ignore it. i try and then i just turn into a freakin maniac all day. must've been hard.

  • shiiiit. i know a lot about psychology and diseases but this thing is unbelievable. jeez... i can't believe those are serious thoughts...

  • Reminds me of life before Zoloft, I have Moderate-Severe OCD, and all I can say is Zoloft works wonders.

  • when i am in school, or when i was in school, every class at half point i would touch the back of my head and yell 4 times. i would also eat something and lick some stuff of my fingers, i would do that for 3 hours. i also have to clear my throat 24 7. 12345 also i have to listen to a song 100 times a night before sleeping, if that doesn't happen i say 12345 ding dong 46 times. i Hate odd numbers, but other than that i have about 200 other more things. so ocd is something not to make fun of.

  • If I didn't wash my hands carefully before touch my skin,I will check every finger of my hand to see if there have blood or red spots like blood.

I feel very helpless and lonely and painful, I have a lot of pain in my mind, but it's very difficult to be understand and get help from normal people even my parents.

I want to talk with someone, and if you have interest please contact with me, Email or left message in my account.

Sorry,my english is not so easy, for I'm chinese.

  • when I see this video, I have a complex feeling, I'm laughing but with tears in my eyes.I feel funny and sad.

I also suffer with OCD now, firstly,I just worry about one thing that is the hospital are dirty especially when I have chance to contact the blood.

Now it's even worse, I'm afraid of touch everything especially the wet things in public place.

  • If I didn't wash my hands carefully before touch my skin,I will check every finger of my hand to see if there have blood or red spots like blood.

I feel very helpless and lonely and painful, I have a lot of pain in my mind, but it's very difficult to be understand and get help from normal people even my parents.

  • my ocd is so damn severe and i8ts really bad so if anyone will help me out and give me advice i would appreciate it

  • Its so funny how mostly white people have these mental disorders. Im glad im black. :)

  • Well I guess you have enough trouble being a porch monkey addicted to prostitutes and marijuana so I'm fine with being white you nigger.

  • GREAT VIDEO. Thats exactly how I feel, and it really shows the severity of the disorder. Ive gotten alot better now, but I used to be really bad. I would love if you could provide me a link to download this, Id like to show my friends. Great job guys! :]

  • Just like me! Wow, laughed so much had tears down my eyes.

  • Good Lord - living like this is like trying to coach yourself off a ledge

  • maybe eem94 should take a life into ocd for a week and see how he/she feels afterwards. No one can understand the pain of ppl with ocd if they don't have it themselves

  • ROFLMAO

  • This diesease has nothing to do with selfishness. These people don't o this because its funny, eem94. It's a force and if they don't follow it, they are afraid something really terrible will happen. And they know it is bullshit, but they cannot help it. Every day is a horror when this dominates you and you need medical treatment to overcome it. I don't expect you to understand, as these people don't understand themselves. But they need help and so please don't be so ignorat.

  • im 13 and i was diagnosed with ocd last year. living through this thing when im this young and in the priem of my life is hell. i cant do anything with my friends. it was amazing how i watched this video and it seemed comp;etely normal to me.

  • that toh-tally suckssss!!! is your compulsion just like germs? what is it about?

  • One time I was drying after a shower. The corner of the towel acidently touched the toilet so I had to take another shower and air dry.

  • Good video. I TOTALLY identify. He touched the dirty switch and dirty cup though. It is a living hell. The cure is to go against the obsessions. Face them.

  • WOW very educational!

  • The commentary was spot on. I too have some of the same problems. And yes it sure does piss me off. Washing my hands for sometimes 7 hours at a time or Showering for over 15 hours in row just to de-contamintae. I have been there but i can tell you with the proper help and support you can beat this. I havent washed my hands or showered for more then 10 min at a time for the last year:) If you have any questions for me feel free to ask... I would love to help

  • wow youre wasting all taht water just because you think you are germ infested?? think about all teh people in darfur who ARE germ/disease infested and they dont have any water because you are wasting it all...you are so selfish and all the people like ou are sefish too, i only wash my hands, after i bathroom, before i eat and then just whenever i feel sticky or dusty...take a selfless act and get over this weirdness and SAVE DARFUR11

  • If I was standing in the same room as you right now i would KICK YOUR ASS!

  • hey guys OCD not always manifesting with cleaning hands or things, I have much bizzare obsessive thoughts...:-) :-(

  • I'm sorry to hear about that. For me, it's 100% germs and it is painful every single day.

  • It you watching this movie, it's like that this person is crazzy....

But, i know that feeling too. You wash your hands 100 times a day.

i am carry of bateriële and i wsh my hands too.

  • PLEASE ANY ONE CALL ME I HAVE THE CURE FOR OCD AND ITS UNBELIEVABLY SIMPLE NO DRUGS NO psychotherapy. IM NOT SELLING THIS INFO TO ANYONE ITS FREE JUST CLICK WESTONCI mail me youremail address and I WILL TELL YOU WHAT ITS IS.

  • i have elements of that, i think ive got it under control now, i used to pull out my hair, literally, underneath where no one would see cos it made me feel better and i went through a stage where id wash my hands repeatedly, unplug things in my house to prevent fire and every time i saw a feather on the ground no matter how disgusting or coated in dirt it was id have to pick it up or something awful would happen.

  • ok im doing a seminar on OCD, so i was just wondering if this vedio is actually how someone with OCD lives? because the last thing i want is to be giving false information. So if anybody can let me know please :) it would be greatly appreticated thanks!!!

    p.s good vedio

  • Hi FallintoMusic. There are some variations with OCD, But for my OCD this video is dead on. Next time I need to explain ocd to someone, I'm sending them to watch this vid

  • thank you!!!!! and sending ppl this link is an awesome idea :) haha

  • is ocd really that bad!?!?!?

  • yes you dont know what its like.

  • man made m nervous just watching it. I always have to turn the tap off with my foot (I have OCD also)

  • i think i used 2 have ocd wen i was yonger cause wat evr i touched with oun hand i would have 2 touch with the other. but i fought it. withen a year i forgot about it.

  • The hot water tap is the dirtiest place in a public bathroom. Every person taking a dump has turned that on before washing their hands. I always turn the water on with a paper towel and throw it away. Then leave the water on, dry my hands with another paper towel and turn off the water after. The best are the auto taps so no paper is needed.

  • Cool video mate! I go through the same sort of thing everyday.I like the "you shouldn't be checking these things" and "this is the last thing I'm checking" comments. Unfortunately it's never the last check!

  • I was recently diagnosed with OCD... for me its counting. Like I divide words in my head that I hear on Tv or in conversation or something. And i do it ALL THE TIME. I also add up strands of numbers like adresses and phone numbers. And I'm also really obsessive about my appearance, I WILL NOT go to schoo lif i feel like I don't look perfect...it sucks

  • Someone is lazy and doesn't want to go to school. Can we say blame the label?

  • man.. i have och to i almost have a bare knuckle from bitting it.and i move stuff just a littel bit but well get throuh it

  • That made me so sad.): I've got OCD too. It's amazing how it is so different and yet so similar for the people who have it. I do some of the stuff you do and some I don't, but I really identify with you. It's is so frustrating that your hands get so red, dry and painful because you wash them all the time. ):

  • Could I have OCD?

I always make sure when I wash my hands I then get a bit of water in my hand an pour it over the tap handle and then turn it off and then dry my hands...well usually.

And I think if I do something a certain way, that I might ruin my day..

  • maybe a little, like i think its minor OCD. i pour a bit over the tap handle. try something u do every day a little different. but if u find it feels really weird, or u come right back doing it over again, u might have OCD. a kid in my school has OCD, he has to touch every locker in the hallway. if he misses one, he has to start all over again.

  • Ok thanks, I do some other stuff, but I can't think what else right now.

  • My old homie had that shit I think its fake tho!!

  • Just stop. For once, just don't repeat anything. See what happens.

  • do you take meds??

  • does any body have ocd about there fingernails? if you do let me know how you cope with it. thanks

  • i do, but it's not really much of problem for me so can't tell you how to cope with that

  • This is a great example of an OCD mind in a simple, modern way. I love the way you portray the sane mind throughout and dont show the OCD driving you crazy - like during the car checking scene. Also laughed everytime you said "i feel 10x better now". Damn OCD it makes you do the most pointless things for you only to feel better after! What nasty trick.
