Knowing The Sound Republic (musicians themselves, live drums and bass on almost every track)... they made this probably to be able to DJ an older track that they know and loved in the modern club scene without having people clear the dance floor due to change in sound quality and energy. People into this style of house in particular do it for the love because it makes their head bob with a big grin. It's harder then you think, samples are only a part of it, and money is not the 'why' for most.

Listening to Drum and Bass, Jungle, Acid, House, Dub etc... on MP3 is like having a symphony orchestra play with digital instruments, it ruins everything.
