Nah not a UFO... its a halloween lantern... They flicker and last for anything from 5 -15 mins...its going down because its loosing altitude as the fuel burns out on the wick...nice try tho

We stared at it and just walked away thinking .. wow that planet is much closer tonight than ever seen before? But it looked very much like what you were looking at.. This happened to us over Scarsdale area in NY.
@ylilycam I can truthful\ly say that at all stages throughout the clip it starts quite high up, maybe +50.000 feet if I had to guess. It never did touch the ground an was maybe more like 2-3000 feet when it decided it was time to go. There is a hill there but when it reappeared it was well above the summit. Thanks for your comment
I saw something quite similar in Brisbane but it was traveling at a constant speed and then disappeared. We see heaps of planes all the time but this was brighter with one single bright light, the way it dissipated was very unusual and quite similar to your video. Keep it up.

I'm a pilot based out of Brissy flying night freight from Archerfield. Gave myself a heart attack one night end of last year when I saw this weird arse shape with a bright, changing light. Was getting confused and was about to get onto BNE center and ask about traffic but then realized later it had been the Holden blimp (found out when I was handed off to another controller they were on the same freq).
early december 2008 I was at bunnings Stafford (brisbane nth side) I walked out the door east & all these people were looking west over the roof of bunnings. I looked back & saw this HUGE bright light not far from a star but 20 times larger. then it shot up in the air & hovered again. I rang my wife at taigum who was at work & she said she was watching it as well. anyway it came on the news as mars. Bullshit, mars don't shoot up in the air & move about like it did.

yep, I saw the same thing. the media was a frenzy over it till they were told to report it as a meteor, another time they said it was a dead satellite. Sure it was, same thing. dead satellites don't change direction & go back up again either. They must think we are real stupid.

Im trying to find the footage of UFO caught over Inala Brisbane 08 it looked exactly like the lights we saw thru grafton. You must not have watched till the very end because you would see that planes/jet fighters/ anything we know of cannot manouvure from a standing start midair to shooting off quite fast as this thing does
We saw our UFO while driving across the Nullarbor back in 2000. It was a huge white light in the sky for a few minutes then it took off so fast it left an orange streak, then it was gone.
We were scared shitless at the time, (the Nullarbor's a lonely place in the middle of the night) but I'd love to see another one.
That sounds scarey indeed. I've heard a few tales of that long drive along the Nullabor. My friends girlfriend and her family were doing the drive at night and for 15mins a light kept up at the same pace beside them, they were so scared they couldnt look at it and wished it would go away. Apparently they dont speak about it very much if at all.

had a look and I would have to say thats just light reflection in my lens as it shakes with the camera movement. The building does annoy me to a degree but it's useful in actualy tracking the movement, there are some power lines you cant really see on the yooutube upload that deffinately helps with discerning the ufo descending at one stage when looking at the original tape in my camera.
