  • Next time, try Virtualdub to stitch your frames together instead. Windows Movie Maker is convienient, but it really limits things. Downloading the Xvid codec to use with Vdub is a good idea, but any other installed codecs you already have should be available as well. Also 60 FPS is a bit much for this kind of presentation, 30FPS should be fine for most video applications that involve compression.

Looks nice for what is there, but bad compression doesn't help. Would be neat to see a remake.

  • @pauljs75 Thanks. I don't think I really knew about Vdub back then and as for a remake, I could do it with a different character, but the project file for that one is gone now due to hard drive failure... Hmm... There is a newer video I have with a different animation entirely but the character model isn't the best. Thanks for your responce though.

  • This is a good animation short. Too bad there isn't a large Carrara user base or I'd be Carrara's biggest fans!

  • Wow good job now if only there were tutorials on how to create cartoon characters and realistic human figures in Carrara then I'd be one happy camper and all the more eager to purchase Carrara!

  • dude daivd-sama this is cool. is this what you do alot with kumemchee-kun? alsome!

  • Thanks. Thsi isn't what we really work on. I know more 3D stuff than he does but he knows more movie stuff than I do. I'm glad you like it.

  • Wow I just realized 2 things...

    1. Super ultra mega low quality and 2... the video fell off sync... That background is supposed to pulse with the music. Maybe I will UL a better version of this.

  • ya, i agree... u should have done better than this. The movement looks awful and only worth watching and bad camera pose.. im ready to comment on your next version n see whats your improvement...

  • lol I wasn't even talking about that. BUT there IS a newer version... just never UL'ed it. In that version, the camera is focoused right on her face. The movement however is still the same because animating is hard work. DAZ Studio has a much more intuitive way of doing things which makes it a HECK of a lit easier to animate things... I don't see why they don't implement it into Carrara.
