Pity Margareta Juvan didn't do any other work that I know of, I really like her singing voice. A Can album with her would've been immense... but she couldn't replace Mooney or Suzuki, they're on their own levels of immensity.
While this film was released in 1969, I am sure that was filmed in the fall of 1968 as David Johnson (flute) was still a part of Can at this time. This clip is particularly interesting since it was a very short period of time that both Johnson and Mooney present. While I am not a particularly huge fan of Juvan's vocals, Czukay's bass line more than make up for it. The only person who sounds similar to Czukay on bass was Hendrix on the Robert Wyatt track "Slow Walking Talk."
The guy has got a point, perhaps a pub gig by the embryonic "CAN" ( complete with Malcolm Mooney) is not actually the best place to discuss your dysfunctional relationships?
This is correct. He just started shouting 'upstairs, downstairs' during one concert. The band continued for sometime before they realised anything was wrong1!
thanks for the comment, I've never seen anything earlier either but, they did work on the soundtrack to an earlier film (Agilok and Blubbo) so you never know...Paddy

I read somewhere that Mooney's psychiatrist recommended he leave the band for his mental health.
