  • I hope my son and I have the same love and respect for each other as Michael and Vito had for each other.

  • whats amazing about this scene is that marlon didn't even remember his lines there is a sign with his lines printed out that he keeps staring at durin the scen watch his eyes

  • 3:40 was the last time micheal smiled in the series

  • "There just wasn't enough time Michael...wasn't enought time" "We'll get there pap...we'll get there" one of my favorite movie lines of all time. This scene is talking about more than just the Corleones, its talking about Italians. E abbiamo fatto

  • In the Father/Son Scene in the Garden, I think this was one of the best Father/Son Relationships ever in the History of Moviemaking. It also reminds me of an Article I read in GQ Magazine about a Man who has Lunch with his Father, as well as the Relationship between Jack & John Abbott on Y & R.

  • My family immigrate from Sicily in the 1920s (I'm 3rd gen. Sicilian) and were very loyal to our blood family. We do not trust anyone outside our blood family (my dad is full Italian I'm half but I'm closer to my dad) Sicilians are a lot like they are portrayed in the movie. Some people think wow cool! But you never talk about who you know, never. My whole family is very traditional Sicilians so thats how we apply it to our lives :P

  • Well with my family emmegrating

  • the 1 dislike was solozzo.

  • How many have applied the "philosophies" of the Godfather in your lives? Like, "never tell anyone outside the family what you're thinking"

  • Marlon Brando was the most unique actor ever !! It's like he's not acting lol. Real artist. No these Ben afflek type dummy's.

  • michael took everything from his father except how to be a family man

  • shouldn't this video be 3 hours long

  • @Beatz4liffe BEST MOST WELL THOUGHT OUT COMMENT EVER. you get my thumbs up.

  • "YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN!!!"

    Goosebumps

  • Don Corleone knew...Michael had the brains but he never had the heart for the business. That's why he wanted him in a legitimate job. Because Michael can't handle the reigns of Godfather.

He knew he couldn't handle the stress of what Godfather holds, but sadly. Michael was the only blood that could be able to carry on the tradition as Sonny was assassinated (cause of having too much heart) and Fredo didn't have the brains(but he def had more heart than Michael)

  • @Tim33ist ...dude he wanted him to be a politian or something

  • @Tim33ist fredo is a sorry, piece of crap weakling. michael DOES have the heart. he proved that when he gunned down the police captain and that other mafia dude!

  • @Tim33ist I don't think for one bit he thought Micheal wasn't made for it. Micheal was perfect for it. Young, Educated, Revengeful (at the time) family man so he couldn't get trapped and was level headed (unlike sonni) He knew his son was strong and the only one of his kids who had the heart to go on his own and do what he wanted too. He didnt want his family to grow up poor and was obviously fucked up in the head that he couldn't do anything for his wife or kid at the time. Hes the best DON

  • @Tim33ist But Micheal did have the heart for the buisness.....

  • He talks like a Boss. Oh wait. He's the Boss.

  • Great compilation! One thing I'd add..

Tom Hagen: When I meet with Tattaglia's men, should I insist all their drug middlemen have clean records?

Don Corleone: Mention it, don't insist. But Barzini will know that without being told.

    Tom Hagen: You mean Tattaglia...

Don Corleone: Tattaglia is a pimp. He never could have outfought Santino. But I didn't know until this day that it was Barzini all along.

  • Never tell anyone outside the family what your thinking, again!

  • Those were the times of men. Now we have Justin Bieber and Twighlight. -__-

  • @AhmedtheIV

And people who can't spell twilight. -___-"

  • These are men. What happened to guys like these? We got guys who look like chicks now. Ugh...

  • @HunterXero They not only look like chicks but our young men show their drawers and butts when outside their homes. I would think only women want everyone to see their butts.

  • It's as if the Godfather knows that his time is coming, and wants to give the final advice to his son that will save his life. I might not be a Godfather, but when I know that I'm about to die soon, I'll make sure I'll give a final advice to my son that I'm sure could be useful for him....

  • Great scene. They just don't make movies like this anymore. :(

  • That one scene is Al Pacino watching Brando and taking notes. hahaha

  • @4:12 Father and son share the father's expectations of his sons. The middle son, Fredo? Well, he is just...just...

  • @rookiecoach1 Fredo is the example of every family who has "one". Fredo will never do more than breath air and get in the way.

  • As a family man approaching the twilight of life this scene presents itself to all fathers who are about to make the journey to the next life? If you have older children you begin to wonder if what you've done as a father helps their transition to fatherhood.

  • That scene is too good.

  • "I never wanted this for you."

    Such a heartbreaking scene.

  • i like how he had so much power he could call yo mom a bitch and everthing just roll over like ain't shit happen

  • "Women and children can be careless, but not men".

    Ain't it the truth.

  • Fredo you're my older brother and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the family again. Ever.

  • @ApolloniaCorleone72 the " family " - or Michael

  • Comment removed

  • i love this scene between Vito and Mike. it was a nice father and son talk about the son learnin from the father about the family buisness

  • I love how this scene sets up the identity of the traitor, but you had to wait until the end of the film to find out who he was.

  • is there something special about the charicter of marlon brando??some magic ,,he is great

  • @georgestojanov One person cried liked a woman, LOL!

  • Great video! Thanks for posting.

  • Awesome! Thanks

  • Brando truly was a great actor. He had it.

  • @ReeseMac Your right...greatest there ever was in my opinion!

  • I don't apologize for taking care of my family.

  • hahah "you look terrible"

  • He knew who was responsible by watching them in the meeting and common sense. They look to eachother a few different times during the course of the meeting if you watch closely.

  • @2:35 is my favorite scene in the history of film. The Don, finally able to get to know his son knows the end is near. He is sad about wasted years, how his sins now affect his youngest son, and still able to be happy that his son's family is doing well...great scene.

  • Brando is the god of cinema.

  • How the Godfather knew it was Barzini behind all the troubles?

  • @cnstntyn Because the Tattaglia's weren't powerful or smart enough to do something like that

  • "Because a man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man." Love it!!!

  • @cnstntyn LOL!!!!! He looked right at sonny!

  • @cnstntyn i never spend time with my family and i am still a real man. i don't like that this movie promotes family and stupid shit like that. i love everything else about it. but its pro family and not everyone has to be part of a family to be family.

  • YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN!

  • Marlon Brando was just incredible

"look how they messed with my boy"

  • love the scene when Michael talks to Vito

  • nice nice man

  • great scenes man thanks for the upload.... put up more ! lol
