So you're implying that every woman not wearing that thing is not decent, modest, and does not "do the right thing". You need it to protect your from the world outside and from yourself, as a gift to god, because the outside world and even your own thinking might be hurtful to your indoctrination, right? Sad world you're living in. To also claim to know the thoughts and feelings of all muslim women is downright pretentious.
Kaichen, it has a name first of all: The Hijab, veil, scarf...it has one.
I'm not implying that by not wearing the veil a woman is not considered modest. What I am implying is that what it does represent to a Muslim woman is modesty and that's the reason why we wear it. We do not need it to protect us from the world outside, instead the "hijab" alone puts boundaries on the woman. It changes the manner in which people
look and treat the woman. Also, if you look back at the film I clearly stated as the first sentence "in my opinion".so I should not be perceived as the representation of all the Muslim women around the world. Instead, I am just one Muslim woman wearing the veil and this is my personal opinion. I have never received a response from a muslim women with the veil or without saying this misrepresents the Muslim women community.
