@MrOnetwodave it adds slashes/escapes the string passed to the database to prevent SQL injection

Example: 'Here's Johnny' will become 'Here\'s Johnny' :)

@MrOnetwodave I may not be correct, but I think it basically searched for sql injection and takes/cancels out possible SQL commands
