0:34 if you want to keep skipping back to the beginning of the alphabet. I know for me it's taking lots and lots of repeats through the cycle to get all the letters! Thanks for the video though!
So do u just spell things out when yur signing?? cuz my friend says that would be another way to do it. but wut about space?? plz respond some1!!!!!! btw I love H xD
haha i find this funny...i wanna learn sign language right, so i just randomly picked this video, and her name happens to be Kristyn.....idk how she spells it but my names also Kristyn, it was ironic
I got questions...how many videos u uploaded that way I can watch them all? Could u please do videos about verbs in past-tense & future form..?please..and coul u please do a video about making conversation ? Please ..answer me
oh my god when i was watching your video, and you got to the part where you said to try and spell your name, it was really creepy because you started spelling my name but then stopped one letter short.
hello, my mother is going deaf, so in the mean time we are making an effort to learn some sign language, but I have really bad arthritis especially in my hands, and i wonder if you might be able to offer some tips?
hi kristen my name is camryn and i was wondering if on one of your videos you can show me how to say my name without spelling it like you did both ways with your hands thanx sooo much if you can, and by the way i have learned a lot with you
@ne014x Well there are different signs for many words, just like their are many different synonyms for one word in English, so that's no big deal. Same with the alphabet it's just like having a northern accent vs a southern. My teacher signs her Es, Ps, Ks, and Cs different but her Deaf friends don't correct her. Deaf people will most likely understand what your getting at either way, and if you're really off, no doubt they'll correct you.
You are completely awesome to be making these vids, they are becoming a big part of my FB page as I have many deaf friends so I want all my friends to learn asl and FB is a great way to spread the your vids. Again, thank you!
@TheOobster She doesn't teach. She is a former ASL student who thinks that because she has taken some ASL classes that it gives her the right to be a "liaison" for the Deaf. Many have complained about her videos, but amazingly, some ignorant people come to her defense and get mad at those who complain. I bet that if she was an old, ugly guy that no one would be watching these videos. (Want proof? There IS a guy who is old and ugly who has made several signing videos but no one watches him.)
Many people may come to her defense because she actually teaches in a way that is easy for someone who has never taken a class, or doesn't have a class nearby to take, to follow and understand.
@kelceejofarra No, they come to her defense because she's viewed as "young and pretty." When I critique an old, ugly guy, no one comes to his defense. If you watch my ABC's video, you'll see the CORRECT way to teach how to fingerspell. This girl is nothing more than an ex-ASL student wanting to pose as a teacher.
And also, isn't it better that she cares enough to get people interested in sign language by posting these videos? You'd think some people would be thankful that more people are getting interested in learning sign language so they can communicate with others.
@kelceejofarra She's not doing this "out of the goodness of her heart." She's doing it for recognition. Her goal was to create a "teaching website." But she realized she bit off more than she could chew and now she's completely disappeared. What I WOULD be thankful for is if she pointed people into the direction of quality, qualified teachers rather than pretending to be one herself.
is it always with the right hand? is there a certain order of right or left you have tio follow? If you know please help:). Thankyou in advance
I have been trying to learn basic sign language as a handy fature, and using pictures is very hard!! But you are wonderful at teaching I just want to know if there is a specific right-or-left structure i would have to respect:) Well done
thanks alot!!! i no how to do it but im scared the next day i will forget..... But the only word i can spell in sign language is Apple and Pie. : ) Thank You
I always sign my g h and z wrong. And I my friends would always get confuse when would sign in class so that the teacher wouldn't get made at us for "passing" notes or talking. XD
i've recently been trying to learn ASL and I've come across some people who have the 'e' with the thumb and finger tips touching because the way it was shown in this one is called a 'screaming E' or 'hearing person's E'. they made it seem almost disrespectful
Our manual alphabet is always shown in alphabetical order. Learning by frequency distribution would be better, but I've never seen it presented that way. Also, can ANYONE do ZYXW...? I would love to see that fast.
