I worked backstage at the Palladium in the late '60's when he was doing a season there. Amongst his balancing tricks, Les would place bricks one on top of the other with alternate hands whilst doing a one-armed plange. The one-finger stand was the highlight of his act.
I dont know whether he had a thumb down but this guy was the real deal. He balanced on one hand atopr Carisbrooke castle which is scary. He was a friend of my brother and when i young he used to pick me up and hold me over his head on fingers. He also liked to handstand up and down stairs - using the bannister of course i dont khow what happened to him but he'd be over 70 now
I know how it is done, I am glad people are not spoiling how.
I sued to think it was real 20 years ago and got strong enough to doa free stand using 2 fingers from each hand. I only seen 2 other people in the world besides myself do it. Thing is if I had not found out it wa fake how far would i have taken it?
thats just an old circus trick haha! its still hard becaue your nood to know how to hold a one arm but its not really on one finger. i know some people who do it.
too many cuts!! should be more confident if it's real and wants to put a show to the world. Fake!! and i thinnk he doesn't show it enuff weight put onto his finger in 0:27
only one man in the world can do a i finger hand stand and thts a shoulin monk in china, and even he needs to lean against a wall to be able to perform the stunt, he can still do it at 90 years old
