Ipad doesnt have the power to support quality vsts and samples(or a quality daw for that matter).Its ok to get some ideas down i guess but way to overpriced for that service alone.Better get a macbook or an equivalent pc to make decent recordings.Ipad is ok if you already have one or two computers already and enough money to make a...stylistic purchase.YRG is invaluable though....i have one really really useful for the guitarist who is noob at keybords and decently priced.

thanks for the reply but what i meant is will the camera connector work on iphone for midi through usb because alot of people online say that it only works on ipad and i wanted to confirm it..i figured there was at least a jailbreak or something to make it work with iphone and ipod touch

I don't know if midi connection rules with Iphone, but this things have the same Operative Sistem... i think you can use with the iphone, but to be sure you must try before.

For example Garage band (Ipad app), you plug Your rock guitar into Ipad (with camera connector),select a midi intrument and play.

You can do this with keys or another USB MIDI instrument.

Garage band is not the only app you can use...
