I went to high school with Ashley and if she seems smiley that really is just the type of person she is, I've never seen her without a smile, and she's thin but in person she looks healthy, and she gets so much exercise through dance so she's very toned, which is something to be expected of a dancer.

I met her in person last week at a dance competition and she is so sweet! At one part when one of the dances wasn't ready she got up on stage and just started randomly dancing. It was so funny! She was one of the judges at Encore if any of you were wondering. But she is just amazing :)

i don't feel a lot of emotion from this dance. that kind of bothers me. technique was good but you can't just rely on good technique and choreography. As a dancer, your also an actor. uhhhhhh the song lyrics point to someone attempting to hold onto a hallelujah.. like revisiting memories. not every sad song should be danced with tears in the girls eyes its all up to interpretation, and the smile and movements were haunting and touching, a clever and intuitive take on an overdone song.

This is a really beautiful piece and she is dancing it perfectly. She look like a well trained dancer and performer. I don't mind the smile...but on your comment about hallelujah being "a shout of joy, praise, or gratitude."

If you listen or read the lyrics of the song, the word hallelujah isn't used in a happy sense. The lyrics talk about "a cold and broken hallelujah," the song is kind of about losing adoration or faith.

but the dancing is phenomenal. I think she's really talented.

It was the style, I don't see anything amazing about it: A whole bunch of generic competition reaches from the typical body rolls that seem really out of place in this song (at least, personally.)
