  • I Bought it... He is way to fast and he doesn't explain what to do, he only says Press This Button and Press that Button, You are going to be rewinding a LOT! and is not updated for 3Ds MAX 2012.

He Knows what to do, but not a very good Teacher.

  • song name plz

  • lol sick. :D

  • I Have V2012 ($5,700) is it still the same?

  • @MrCraftGTeam Actually, this is used to make videogames :D

  • song?

  • I'm only Fourteen and i know a little bit about this still studying it.....Can this give me a good job in the future?? pls ans :)) im looking to programming i know coding but a little bit of it

  • @danlynch3 The art side of things is incredibly competitive and difficult. It pays alright, though programmers and producers make a lot more. You will need a lot of experience and a solid portfolio to have a reliable income.

Programming is also very difficult, depending on how your mind works (some people pick it up effortlessly) but the plus side is that you are much more certain of a job and higher pay.

  • @eikons Thanks :)

  • @eikons Don't look at it that way. Yes it is competitive, but if your heart is pulled towards art then go for it. You'll be more efficient and happier doing what you love than doing what you hate. All is well friend.

  • @Jadandlud I absolutely agree with you. I don't think you can just pick your profession based on what it pays, you have to feel a genuine passion for it. My passion is 3D art - I don't mind getting paid a little less for having a job that I really enjoy. I'm only trying to warn those that think you can do it because it looks fun to do, you have to have a passion for it to be successful.

  • @eikons Point taken. Not easy stuff. I'm in IT and I'm studying 3ds max and UDK in my free time. I really stink at art but I can't stop trying to get better with my medium. I just love 3D work. But like you said, there are perils and not everybody can jump into it. You really have to look and if you can still leap, then you know you're in the right place.

  • @eikons

    "Programming is also very difficult"

Understatement of the last 20,000,000 years! Even unrealscript (which is apparently the simplest of them all) is about as hard as trying to cartwheel across a tightrope in galeforce winds, while drunk, and people are throwing rocks and shooting at you. In otherwords, as far from simple as its possible to get.

  • @ncshuriken I really think it depends on the kind of mindset you have. I can do a little actionscript and PHP. I haven't looked into unrealscript, but the folks at EpicGames were kind enough to make Kismet for people like me. Programming relies on very simple principles, and being clever in how to apply them. But you need the insight, some people (like me) really just can't get into it without losing track of what they are doing.

  • Ok. I have a very big question. I dont have 3ds max or unity 3d. Also i never used it or experienced it but, i usually catch on to things like this easily. So should i get the 2010 version to 3ds max, 2011 version or,2009 version.? By the way that looks very cool. Dont be disturbed by my name. It doesnt say anything about my personality.

  • @fatnugget23 unity is a free downloadable program. 3ds max you'll have to pay for if you don't want to pirate it. They're both really easy to use once you know the basics. get the 2011 ver. of max and go to the unity homepage and download the latest.

  • I keep trying to change my installation path to D drive but it wouldn't let me... I can't install it because there isn't enough space on my C drive... :/

  • Uhm...I understood nothing. Looked good though :D

  • Lol, You can make a game with that

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY

  • so was this entire character done in 3ds max? i'm pretty good at making vehicles and robots in max, but i keep hearing how you need to use maya for biological characters. if i can do everything on MAX without having to learn maya, that would just be awesome. please reply.

  • name song?

  • that intro song gave me an orgasm :D

  • I want to learn CG SO BAD! especially Mudbox and Maya.. how do I start?

  • this makes blender look like crap! (not that blender is bad for a free prog)

  • super program

  • This is yantram providing all types of 3D Modeling animation services like 3D Floor Plan,Architectural Visualization,3D Interior Design,3D Jewelry Design,3d rendering companies, 3d Animation studio.

  • so cooool

  • Is it like adobe after effects???

  • @EKAMITHS1 lmao.

  • @sqion Its a question "ass"

  • @EKAMITHS1 AFTER EFFECTS??? BIATCH...CHECK GOOGLE IDIOT...ADOBE.COM!

  • @sqion What do you want sucker???I asked if it is LIKE After Effects, in use...

  • @EKAMITHS1 still lmao...

  • so can i create realistic looking alien grey on this thing and not make it look too cartoonish?????

  • For an in-depth skinning tutorial check out eat3d.com/character_skinning

  • that looks like the easiest skin job ever, why dont tutorials ever deal with difficult cases like a realistically proportioned human hip

  • @there is modeling present shown as finished. learn the English language. You're blabbering.

  • great intro to what looks like one of the best character modeling and animation dvds I have ever seen.

  • @darknkreepy there's no modelling here, only rigging for animation

  • @casvanmarcel actually there is a lot of modeling here, and the kinematic structures are manipulating it. the modeling is the spotlight to which the pieces are being manipulated. without the modeling, the layering, coloring, texturing, and rigging would be useless.

learn to read before trying to sound intelligent. ftw.

  • @darknkreepy there's no modelling mentioned anywhere !!!! they say they're covering some of the most important new features of 2011 (not all of them), CAT rigging, the new slate editor, a custom shader, rendering using quicksilver... I still believe there's no actual modeling on this dvd.It doesn't say it is. I think they only import already made characters and start from there (because the dvd is only 4 hours long, it would take waaaay longer to actually show the modelling)

  • now this is worth buying

  • @ultimateX11 the best is that you can get it free from autodesk.com

  • @ultimateX11 still not worth , price too high

  • @ultimateX11 for 2000 dollars? no way, only schools and game companies

  • @HunterBeck111 there ways to get it for no money but risky

  • @ultimateX11 Yeah, if it was 100 bucks, not fucking 3000.
