it can it's very dangerous but you have a very good chance of surviving if your overall healthy my body right now contains melamine my doctor ran a test and found it after i got sick and had to go to the hospital but I'm gonna pull through just fine it wasn't a whole lot something like 10 parts per million but since I'm strong and in good health I'll survive and i don't even gotta do anything extra it's just kinda leaving i don't get it but whatever I'll be safe at least but for babies it's bad

It all depends on the amount you eat. I only ate like...two, so the chances of that are very low. But to eat a box or two, your rate of effect will go up. Just letting all of the people who ate SOME will probably be fine.

Not to downplay poisoning but there actually IS an acceptable level; it's just really, really small. Everything is safe to consume if given only the tiniest amount, and everything, even pure water, is harmful if overconsumed to the point of an imbalance.
