  • I would like this guy to tell the Taliban to stop fighting. Black bag and an AK would be in his immediate future.

  • Unsupported rumor is not news it's RUMOR NOT SUPPORTED BY EVIDENCE

OR FACT'S or you can call it Propaganda ! or I don't have any evidence but let me blow smoke up your ass with hypothetical analogy's and see if I can get you

    to believe my lieing spin.

  • We could better protect ourselves by getting out of the Middle East completely and focus on our own borders and who and what comes into our country. And let Israel sink or swim on its own. We've protected that country which seems to be filled with religious fanatics for 50 years now and that is long enough.

  • We will Never ever leave the middle east. EVER. Watch "Aaron Russo Interview"

  • "Freedom isn't free, it costs folks like you and me, And if we don't all chip in we'll never pay that bill. Freedom isn't free, no there's a hefty fuckin' fee and if we don't all chip in our buck o' five who will......Buck o'five....freedom costs a buck o' five"- Trey Parker.

  • This clown is a friggin' moron. Thank God our guys are killing these savages on the battlefield, because if that wasn't happening the black racist who currently occupies the AG job would be letting them go for the smallest of reasons. A dead Islamic savage is a GOOD thing.

  • We should stay, leaving early is wrong. we left early from the south and had extreme racism, we left germany after ww one and had a holocaust, we left afghanistan after the russians and made it safe for the taliban and al queda

  • execution? i think he mean WAR.

support our troops, support our country.

we fight in afganistan and iraq so we dont have to fight them in america, say its about oil, say its about power, we are killing radical muslems, and terrorist so we dont have to kill them at home. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

  • @tacticalshooter556 yes! God bless a country becoming a police state! (sarcasm) I hope God blows up America.

  • Complaints about citing sources: If journalists named all of their sources, the people would stop talking. Number one source for watergate was never released until his death... doesn't mean watergate never happened. Yes, citing sources would be helpful in bolstering a story, but at the same time you would not have a story if the source was on the record. I would say in Hersh's case, his story is confirmed by the squad of Army soldiers that went on record last week about executions they did.

  • Totally totally worthless testimony! I strongly believe a lot of US troops are capable of doing what Hersh describes, BUT...sources, sources, sources! Where are they? If you want to be credible and considered a serious reporter of facts you MUST cite sources, and in this small video Hersh doesn't. Basically he's asking us to trust him about this. Not enough!

  • aahh this channel sucks. just a bunch of liberals

  • @newworldboss So be a pinhead and go watch Beck

  • @EsClayWilson Beck is not even a real conservative...he is made up by the liberal media to make it seem like there is still people who care about the constitution in the media and in the government but we all know that hat is a lie. They all sell out sooner or later.

The Beck - Stewart war is like wrestling you watch on TV: fake. You have to be a 1st grader not to realize it.

  • What are we doing there? We are stealing opium, shipping opium, and dominating an oil pipeline project. We are also conducting a mass murder, an underlaying eugenics Crime Against Humanity project of the Debt Syndicate.

  • @centurion180ad what a load of trash, They are selling the opium. The pipeline is a red herring nad there are no eugenics crimes being committed. So what exactly is your point?

  • @EsClayWilson It is admitted and on the public record. Our Army is providing fertilizer and is guarding opium fields. CIA is known to and is on the public record, of being the world’s primary heroin trafficker. The FIRST document that Karzai signed, was a UNOCAL pipeline deal hours after is installation. The mass murders going on, are admitted on record as eugenics.

  • @centurion180ad The old pipeline bugbear. If the war was all about the pipeline, which is utter garbage, why hasn't it been built yet? Also, wouldn't it had been easier just to pay off the Taliban years ago if it was just about a pipeline. AS far as this eugenics nonsense, so we are killing them off to breed some super race or something

  • @EsClayWilson Afghanistan foremost, is all about the largest heroin from opium crop in human history. AFAIK the pipeline IS being built. BTW the Haliburton oil contracts for Iraq & Afghanistan went out BEFORE 9/11/01. Under the taliban the opium crops were being wiped out because they figured out that CIA is the trafficer. They were slaughtered, and now opium for the CIA is to the moon. Please read ECOSCIENCE by holdren, erlich & erlich. It's eugenics.

  • I see what the people in these Islamic countries are like, how they treat woman and children, and I find it hard to give a shit about them.

  • @Khyrid Yeah, but do you give a shit about the amputees returning to the US after their tour of duty? Or the Americans who become insane as a result of their tour and come back here and commit crimes, or need to go on disability?

  • @needparalegal Big problem > Smaller problem.

  • Whats wrong with killing women and children?Whats wrong with killing pows on the battle field? This isnt ww2 this is 2010 we dont care about that crap!Kill the freakin muslims take there oil and there land and keep them oppressed!

  • ignorance in every incarnation is shameful, however slight. you must be a troll or tragically ignorant to act as though terrorists weren't in afghanistan before the US invaded. al qaeda and the taliban would disagree.

  • If our troops behave badly, and we let it continue by covering it up, we become the monster. We need to shine a light on the reality and make it better. Our troops are taught obedience to make the machine of War function, but they need to be taught courage to help change what is inhumane and wrong.

    ---

Don't get me wrong I have a great respect for the men and women who serve, but they lower themselves by turning their backs.

  • @Joxman2k "Beware fighting monsters lest you become one." Friedrich Nietzsche

  • @needparalegal

    I like that quote :)

    ---

"Be the change you want to see in the world" Gandhi

    :P

  • @needparalegal That's smart, we should let them do whatever they want instead. Guess what? Not everybody in the world is a good person, some people are bad people, in fact some people are horrible fucking people that need to die.

  • @Khyrid You are too stupid to become the "monster" Nietszche is refering to. At best you will be one of the monster's thralls who kill civilians on behalf of the monster. "Beware" fighting is not the same as not fighting.

  • The United States has no intention of ever leaving Afghanistan or Iraq.

They went there for the oil, and by God, they're not leaving without it.

Come on Cenk, get with the program.

  • LOL If I was over there, I wouldn't take no prisoner. You shoot in my direction, you die.

  • of course he's right.

  • anyone who thinks we will ever let iraq become out of our control, whether we are physically there or not, is crazy. and when i say control. i mean control of the oil. we don't care about the people there. i say this not because i like it.

  • @thedelta88

Yeah, we're gonna leave Iraq, just like we left Japan, and Germany, after WWII.

  • @DEFYtheTHOUGHTPOLICE well you know japan is still under the treaty they were forced to sign. limited army, navy, and a bunch of other shit i'm not familiar with. one of our largest military installations in in Okinawa which is Japanese soil. and as for germany... are u stupid or just trying to be funny?

  • @DEFYtheTHOUGHTPOLICE Would you rather that the US, UK, France and Poland left Western Germany and stunt its economic growth and let it fall prey to the USSR?

  • @thedelta88

Who is this we? The soldiers and Marines? I'm pretty damn sure they don't give a shit about oil deposits.

  • @supertacticalbacon no not the soldiers and marines. they do what they are told. wouldn't make a difference if the war was just or otherwise.

  • @thedelta88 Shut the fuck up about the oil! What oil? The US never got any of that oil, not one drop. The oil reserved are not so bad that you have to spend billions of dollars on an invasion and occupation force, the US could have bought the entire Iraqi oil supply (assuming of course that Saddam would sell it to the US) a couple times over with the money spent on the war. Over 3/4 of the oil (since the invasion) has been sold to Asia and 1/4 of that oil export has been sold to Europe.

  • It was called military industrial complex for quite a long time. It's hierarchal in nature which means they don't pay any mind or attention to the truth, and it is why civilitzations die or go away. It is kind of like institutionalized death to other people for money and or status. In this world, such as it is, assholes rule and prevail and will harvest your life for the power and money. The church lines them up by a wall blindfolds them and the military sends the bullets with guns and stuff.

  • Yeah, Hajji, we're taking you to jail. Sure we are. Why are we driving to the desert? Never you mind.

  • America should stop "helping" people...

  • @TVXQLUVE

By "helping people" you mean the Defense Industry, Banks, Heroin trade, and Oil interests?

    Yes, America should stop helping.

  • Soldiers of Liberty Money Bomb May 20

    dailypaul(dot)com

  • Why does Hersch hate America? Doesn't he understand that the true patriotic thing to do is STFU and regurgitate the military propaganda?

  • @geoff2204

History has shown that any country based on lies will crumble from within. You should move to North Korea where your fascist ideas are socially acceptable!

  • @AreYouConcerned

I am concerned too. Concerned that so many people are utterly incapable of spotting irony and satire. Maybe I should flag these comments with: 'Warning - satirical post follows.'

  • @geoff2204 I am sure hitler and stalin had the same wishes.

These bodies are going to add up over the yrs. If this military did this in

america would you think the same thing.?

  • @watchulla

God, another one. Don't you people have any ability to perceive satire? Read the post again for cryin' out loud.

  • @Neuromancer1970

I don't buy that logic. I find it funny that before the 1960's we had no problems keeping out people who didn't necessarily look like the average American. The only people that were allowed to emigrate to the U.S.A. were Europeans, people who supported us in wars, & students.

It's not as if U.S.A. isn't able to go back to those restrictive policies. This whole "fight them over there so that they can't get us over here" is such hogwash.

  • If Sy Hersh makes accusations like this, he should back it up with some actual proof.

  • @ternew77

Don't worry, I am sure the military has footage of the executions.3 yrs from now they will release it, so the storied gets buried in the news.

  • @AreYouConcerned yea, that MAY happen, but you can't go around making accusations based upon something that MAY happen. Our military is at war, while the rest of America is at the Mall. Don't accuse them of something unless it's true.

  • @ternew77

It took the US military over 35 years to admit they staged the gulf of tonkin themselves to get us into the war in vietnam. Wake up! Do some research! Here is some more military lies that got our people killed. US maine, Luistania, US liberty....

  • @AreYouConcerned You are obviously an individual who deeply hates America. Common sense and rational arguments have no effect on a person with so much anger and hate.

  • @ternew77

You can't deny history, so you make personal attacks. It is you who hates america, because when presented with facts you turn a blind eye. Go back to sleep, there is no need to wake up from your dream world. Say hello to santa while your at it!

  • @AreYouConcerned Don't take this personally, but you're so damn stupid, it's a wonder you still know how to feed yourself. You're all output, no input. Checkmate, game over.

  • @ternew77

Keep drinking the flouride, eating the paintchips, and breathing in the asbestos! It has done wonders for your deductive reasoning! You need to actually pick up and read a history book instead of just looking at the pictures!

  • I think we should forget about saving face in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Lets stop spending billions on continuing military operations. Just leave a big note that says if evil returns, so shall we to snuff it. The local governments don't appreciate us, they just use us for money, and talk crap about us. Let them fend for themselves. There are other ways we can influence our corporate interests there.

  • Not surprising...

  • Comment removed

  • @dralezero

Nope. There hasn't been an officially declare policy of purging any particular ethnic or religious group. Let's practice some restraint now.

Using hyperbole as way of showing displeasure with a political policy does a great disservice to both the tragedy at hand and the tragedy that occurred in the past.

  • @dralezero

Remember ignorance is not a defence. If this is going on under obama, obama is a war crininal just like bush!

  • @dralezero Unlike U.S. forces, the Nazis were EFFECTIVE.

  • You see the facts Cenk, but you're still in denial.

Democrat or Republican, it doesn't matter, the corporate machine keeps going along business as usual.

  • @DEFYtheTHOUGHTPOLICE absolutely true. most politicians are corporate employees essentially. all of the new supreme court justices and current nominees are corporate employees as well, whether "hired" by bush or obama. the corporations keep the american people divided so that we have a hard time figuring out what is really going on

  • @DEFYtheTHOUGHTPOLICE

He knows but if he goes the road of blaming the corporate machine or the military industrial complex, he will be denounced as a quack or a conspiracy kook on the fringes of political society by the mainstream media and many Americans.

The ability to truly call things out as they are being seen & yet be taken seriously can only utilized by national heroes who earned the public's trust, like Dwight Eisenhower or Major General Smedley Butler.

  • @willia3r

That's why Corporate media has lost it's credibility, and it's power.

  • @DEFYtheTHOUGHTPOLICE

Not really. We are still at war thanks to the corporate media you have these white middle class babyboomers & older generations misguidely joining these Teaparties & protesting against the wrong people thanks to conservative media partisans & demagogues like Glenn Beck, O'Reilly & Rush Limbaugh.

The Corporate still has influence & is using it effectively, by pandering to prejudice & fear.

  • @willia3r,

That's true, many Baby-boomers do take Fox News, or CNN, as gospel.

  • When he said that they dug the bullets out of the bodies and walls he should have clarified...

The troops took these bullets to cover up that they were American bullets...

  • To quote McCain, "we'll stay there for a 100 years if we have to."

  • though it could be the need for the poppy seeds used in bagel shops all over that other country..what's it called?

  • @Neuromancer1970

I haD mixed feelings as well for the reasons you're saying, but now, I'm thinking why stay there when you're bankrupt and you need to lend the money to stay there from China etc.? America doesn't even have enough money to solve their internal problems, so no way they're gonna do anything in the middle east.

  • the poppy fields are beautiful this time of year, and there is an oxycontin epidemic in a few states ...case you havent heard...

  • Lets put it even more extreme: The WEST should get the fuck out of the middle EAST. I'm pissing on our 'president' in the Netherlands that he's walking with Bush/Obama like their pet dog to stay in the middle east. It's one big waste of money, money we need HARD in times of economic crisis.

Many western countries are close to being bankrupt, staying in the middle east is the most stupid decision of all time.

  • It amazes me that people are so ignorant that this news is "shocking" or "unbelievable" Do you people know NOTHING about war? You think that because we are American our soldiers are better people and follow some sort of moral code? Throughout our history American soldiers have broken more "war laws" than anyone seems to remember. I guess they still don't teach that in schools. What a surprise. someone share footage from over there on what's really going on... good luck sleeping after that.

  • @FireRoseX5

What's your followup point? We shouldn't be surprised about this news -> AND THEN WHAT? You think we should stay in the middle east then, how do you wanna pay for that? Another trillion lend from China? It makes no fucking sense.

  • 2007 Hersh asserted in a piece in The New Yorker that the United States and Saudi governments were funding the terrorist organization Fatah al-Islam. Journalists in Beirut uncovered that Hersh put forth the claim without any reliable sources. Hersh heard the story from Robert Fisk who had heard the story from former British intelligence agent Alastair Crooke. Crooke had only heard it as rumor and no one had fact checked the claims before Hersh ran the story.

    This is a reliable source?

  • "us"? "we"? It's allot easier to talk about and criticize war when you have never done anything.

  • when there is no more oil in afghanistan, mission accomplished

  • @DrQuijano You do know that there is no oil in Afghanistan?

  • @needparalegal there is, but there is also over a trillion dollars in mineral deposits there and also the LARGEST lithium reserves they have ever found, so............

  • @DrQuijano there never was any oil in Afghanistan

  • @DrQuijano

There is no significant oil deposits in Afganistan, retard.

  • @supertacticalbacon Yes there is, they found huge deposits in Afghanistan recently. We just didn't know they were there when we invaded.

  • All I'll say is: Believe it. Because it's true. The only time we hear about it is when someone talks or those people get caught.

What happens in the battlefield stays in the battlefield. We try to enforce the UCMJ, but . . . well, the military was desperate to cover up what happened to Tillman and still is.

  • We are in Afghanistan for heroin.

  • The military brass encourage this kind of behavior because it increases instability and enmity in the places we are occupying. Even good soldiers will do bad things under duress, especially when they don't really know what is right or wrong. The war on terror is a complete farce, and just the latest excuse to keep the war maching running.

  • @digiprez77 I couldn't agree more; very well said. The "war on terror" IS a farce (as, BTW, is the "war on drugs" --- hell, the CIA is a major supplier!)

  • @snicky58 well...crack was made by the government and put into poor neighborhoods, so that makes sense.

  • I'd much sooner believe Sy Hersh than the freakin' Pentagon.

  • Americans have this idea that we do not commit war atrocity's. Both of my grandfathers fought in WW2, one for the Americans and one for the Germans. Both had horrific stories of war crimes they witnessed. When you put young men into horribly violent atmospheres bad things happen, and many of them are damaged for life. This is why they say war is hell.

  • Not surprised, horrible!

  • There was never a plan to stay indefinitely. Obama's position has correctly been; it is irresponsible to pull out without giving civil institutions a chance to take root. Is Karzai an ideal leader, of course not. Are there real questions about the election of course. We still have to try to help stand up a civil infrastructure that is the foundation of a national government. Otherwise, the void will be filled by warlord and fringe political movements. Then all is really lost.

  • Cenk this is normal procedure for the American military.Get an expert on your show like General Powell. When he was a major in Vietnam he tried his best to cover up My Lai. Ask him how many civilians (babies, pregnant) were mowed down. He probably has this information about Vietnam and probably has or can get this information about Iraq and Afghanistan. He is getting old now and might be willing to tell the truth.

  • Nah dude , the US cant leave yet.

If they leave , the number of bomb attempts against americans will greatly drop and that will make the US government & army bored...very bored.

They need to make sure the next 20 generations of Iraqis , Afghanis and Pakistanis will grow up with an engraved hatred towards the US.

  • FUCKED UP

  • I have been against the war from the beginning. I'm from Herat, Afghanistan and i have a lot of family there. And they told us that they saw a little 8 year old boy go up to an American Army car with a bunch of Americans in there. and the boy was just curious and wanted to get a look. and u know what the American army people did? they shot him. Right there in the middle of the street. His mom was buying a WATERMELON! and when she turn she fainted. THIS IS WHAT YOUR "AMERICA HEROES" ARE DOING.

  • You can't say we've done more harm than good in afghanistan. Before we were there, they were at war for 20 years. Afghanistan is now more at peace than it has been since the soviets invaded. Of course its still fucked, but its considerably less fucked than when we started, especially kabul and in the north. And while al qaeda has mostly left, that's only because we're there. Once we leave, they'll be back.

  • @rsrs17 totally agree. cenk is off on thisone!

  • @rsrs17 Afghanistan was at war, but that's their own business. Who are we to step into their business, conquer their country, then start telling them what to do in the name of "peace"? It's like if America was waging war in Vietnam, then Germany conquers America and tells us all to convert to fascism in the name of peace, what kind of bullshit policy is that?

  • @rsrs17: So after 9 years of war and 280 billion dollars later we have managed to make the country a little better and have managed to relocate the 3-5k people we were fighting. Great accomplishment by one of the strongest nation in the world... just fucking great...

  • @05khanha YA KNOW, GERMANS ALSO SUPPORTED THE TROOPS.

  • Vietnam........Opium

    Afghanistan......Opium

  • One is reminded that Roman legions took to slaughtering their enemies in the field after the politicians kept letting them go, rather than risk being killed by someone given multiple chances to do it. They're not afraid of the rules or the politicians, they must be made to fear retaliation. Also, we didn't go into Afghanistan to fight al-Quaida, we went in because the Taliban had allowed them to train there.

  • We are spending trillions of dollars fighting an enemy that has spent what? A small amount of money to attack us. If this is mission accomplished lets go home and start saving for the next attack.

  • it's about time to gtfo of afghanistan, we made our point, time to move on

  • We need President Sarah Palin for she will get to the bottom of this and she will have both Iraq and Afghanistan wars completely won.

  • @ecwaufisxtreme laughable

  • @ecwaufisxtreme and when she wins in Iraq, Jesus will come back to earth to restore paradise and crown Palin Queen of all the land....glory be to god....lmao

  • @ecwaufisxtreme lol?

  • @ecwaufisxtreme LOL, and people think Republicans have no sense of humor.

  • I can't believe that in the US and the UK are still in denial about the horrific acts of this nonsense war. "Are you saying my son's a murderer?" Well they don't train people to kill for nothing. The reason this war is SO shameful is that SO many innocents have been slaughtered and as a result of the chemical weapons the US have used, these children, those that weren't mercilessly slaughtered, are born with birth defects.

  • We are hired security goons for the contractors. It's probably cheaper than using blackwater.

  • he loves making his own country look bad

  • @NCSportsMan70 no, the country makes itself look bad. he just bears witness

  • @raizon36 And then he has to tell the whole world about it to promote tyt and make them seem so honest. In other stories when there is no proof he says its probably a lie and dismisses it, but he hates Busch so he has to make this seem true.

    Hypocrite.

  • @NCSportsMan70 :The Truth is what is important. If the Truth makes you look bad you should change your actions, not lie.

  • @klard thats my problem with tyt, he has no proof. In other stories when there is no proof he just says its probably a lie and dismisses it.

The Truth is that there is no proof. Its just a story he is using to promote tyt.

  • @NCSportsMan70 : Sy Hersch did the research and documented the story. TYT is reporting what Hersch reported. If you want to see the proof go to the source. That is a major way news is disseminated.

  • @klard There just is not any solid proof

  • @NCSportsMan70 ....Says who? Do you know the evidence Hersh has? And second, we just got done with the troops in the Afghan village who murdered a family during a birthday party and two of them were pregnant women. Then the troops took the bullets out of the walls and the bodies to cover it up. Hersh uncovered the detainees abuse (you remember the sick pictures that came out) So I believe this guy over any propaganda Washington has to say

  • @seattle8686 yeah, and people got in trouble with the Afghan village situation because there was video evidence.

  • @NCSportsMan70 Thats not true at all...there was NO video evidence......the Afghan Village incident was broken when BBC journalists went around asking some of the villagers what had happened. The US government was back pedaling after each investigation of the incident. First they said the Taliban did the massacre......there was no video evidence...and if there is, please provide the source of where the journal article says there is

  • @NCSportsMan70 .....a story to promote TYT? Says who? You have no proof of that......but Hersh has his proof....and in time...you will forget about who broke these stories....I know I did.....I forgot who broke Abu Ghraib and our extensions in Iraq....Hersh does have proof...don't be upset just because he hasn't called you up personally to tell you

  • @seattle8686 If he has proof, stop talking about it and SHOW IT

  • @NCSportsMan70 .....the proof IS the incidents that build up...the Afghan village incident is part of his proof.....what do you think war journalists do? You think al they do is snap a few photos? No...they go around and get tips from soldiers who may have seen some things or have heard of things......this is how the defense contractor who was raped by her peers was broken....this is how Abu Ghraib got broken.......

  • @NCSportsMan70 In Canada there is alot of news about parliment wanting information on treatment of afgan prisoners and government trying to stop them eg poroging, there is no doubt there is horrible abuses going on there. There is no "proof" because its visual you either show people being killed or put reports on the screen.

  • If we leave Afganistan, an Islamic fundamentalist government will take control, just like it did after Charlie Wilson's war.

  • @adoniscomplex

If that is what the people want, who are we to judge? All we need to do tighten our borders and put heavy restrictions on those trying to emigrate to the U.S. like we did before the 1960's.

  • Oh man, this is terrible.

  • i hope this isn't getting blown out of proportion like the whole "double tap" story from iraq. where the media was totally exaggerating on what "double tapping" exactly is, comparing it to executions as well.

double tapping is when you kill a hostile enemy personnel , you shoot that enemy again to make sure him/her is dead.

  • @Crunchieman Be that as it may, the Geneva conventions designate shooting unarmed or wounded individuals no longer taking part in combat a war crime.

    Stop trying to rationalize it.

  • @DarkwingScooter that makes no sense, unless a combatant is actually surrendering, how can it be against the geneva convention to make sure they are dead? he clearly still means harm when not surrendering.

  • @Crunchieman playing devils advocate i think it is that force has to be preportional to the threat faced.plus there is duty of care to the wounded.

  • @Crunchieman The same reason that shooting at ejected and parachuting fighter or bomber pilots is expressly prohibited.

If the person is wounded and/or out of action the Geneva conventions says you may not kill them wantonly.

These things were written for exactly this kind of reason. They also expressly cover the SIGNING nation, meaning that AMERICA is bound by it, even if their enemies are not.

Summary execution is a grave breach in terms of the third and fourth convention.

  • Dick Cheney said we would have to fight a war in the shadows to protect our way of life against these murderous terrorist. And so what if a few terrorist were killed before we could give them their precious liberal 50 year trial, thats what we should do to all these terrorist animals. So lets stop rewarding these coward journalists who stab our troops in the back with lies and misinformation and stand behind the god and the troops, rather than the left and the liberal media.

  • The U.S has been at war since WW2....the U.S is a war machine...theres too much money involved for there not to be...war mongers

  • There's still a war? WHY?!

  • Perhaps Obama will come to the conclusion the futility of trying to establish a centralized government in an area that has porous borders, is a black market trade route that has existed for thousands of years, and is completely tribal, that is, each tribe hates all other tribes,...or maybe he has and just wants to be part of the bleed out of America...Obama should ask Vladamir Putin for advise on what to do when you have squandered ten years of military resources in Afghanistan...

  • We went into Afghanistan to kill Obama, but we don't even have him charged for 9/11, so why did we go in. When the CIA had him boxed in at Tora Bora in December 2001, they asked for a division of soldiers to keep him from escaping into Pakistan, preferrably the Rangers or 10th Mountain Division. There's always been friction between the CIA and the Defense Dept. and the Army refused, saying, they're spies, not warriors.

  • @christoJihad2 They don't know what's needed. Rumsfeld, Cheney, Wolfowitz etc., a Navy pilot in 1954, and two fucking piece of shit draft dodgers. They had the final say about bin Laden. Gee, could they have not wanted him killed or captured? Naaaaa.

  • @MacMaraScott dogs should be treated better than those assholes

  • How can you "allow" something if you're not aware it's happening?

  • Leave Afghanistan? Yeah, America is the only country who has troops in Afghanistan. You can just go "Hay we be going now, ttyl" Countries who agreed to go in there cause they felt there was a real threat coming from the extremists who at the time resided there.(According to intelligence)

Executions is the only horror you see? Yeah forget about the children who need water and medicine which the army escorts to them.

Ignorant stance on your behalf to say the least.

  • OBAMA = Often Bullsh*tt*ng About Most Answers

Afghanistan is all about the heroin trade and the 'Turkmenistan - Pakistan Natural Gas Pipeline'.

87% of the world's heroin comes from Afghanistan.

  • I'm sorry, but if the military executions were being done under Bush the left would have been much more upset. I know Cenk says he's upset but it doesn't compare. I mean did you see how people got when they heard we were water boarding! Now we hear that executions are happening! The media should be making a HUGE issue out of this. But of course it won't. This will probably be the last we hear of it.

  • @dredsdomain they would report if it were Americans being killed. thats what get them ratings. Afghani innocents..... too boring

  • when the oil runs out... then its mission accomplished

  • I say we declare victory and leave. Fuck Karzai and his corrupt government.

  • Everybody dominates obama...thank god for journalist like Sy

    Hersh.

Whats worst a republican or someone that gives into republicans?

  • why does Cenk look like an oompa loompa - ( orange ) ?

  • @ButterOnMyBiscuit Lighting

  • However, he HAS been wrong and I think tends to go overboard once in a while. Like when he predicted we would invade Iran when Bush was president. He may be a little too eager sometimes because of his Vietnam experiences.

  • I understand Cenks sentiments and I have some doubts about the war in Afghanistan also, but I do believe Obama has some limited objectives there that are probably important. Of course Cenk says that the war has been going on 9 years, but under Bush Afghanistan was neglected and only now are we doing it more properly. Sy Hersh has done some great work and I dont doubt his story although Im not sure about the extent of it.

  • @kruat43 stfu u troll

  • America has the worst foreign policy in the world.

  • Jesus, thats not bad....should probably get your American police to stop beating and killing people before you try and fix the army. If anything the military is just brining a piece of America to Afghanistan. STATUS QUO

  • Who, exactly is doing these executions?

  • @juliact who do you think....soldiers.

  • @jedaaa I mean, is it US soldiers? Or are the innocent people who are being picked up killed by Taliban as they walk away... it's not clear in this story. They just said "battlefield executions", "shot as they walk away". If you have a link to the full story, please post it!

  • @juliact no its pretty clear its american soldiers or private military contractors/both. perhaps even british as well. the best i can do is to suggest googling "sy hersh" the guy in the vid.

  • @jedaaa I could only find this quote from Sy Hersh in the Tehran Times: What it means is, and I've been told this anecdotally by five or six different people, battlefield executions are taking place, he continued. Well, if they can't prove they're Taliban, bam. If we don't do it ourselves, we turn them over to the nearby Afghan troops and by the time we walk three feet the bullets are flying. And that's going on now.

So the allegation is that it's both US troops and Afghan.

  • @juliact oh yeah sure, im sure it happens on both sides. absolutely.

and i just thaught this Sy Hersh guy
