Hey macmilly, I am a white fella at 43 now. I brought up my son alone for 13 years, I am from a Scandinavian background, but my family tree is huge. I grew up with 5 African cousins, so I do not see in color, I only know what I feel. I was happy too see this video and hear the words of the people who helped make it.... I consider us single fathers all brothers and would never turn my back on any child ever.
i was married for 20 years when my wife walked out on me and the kids . i raised them all from the age of 7 alone , without help from family or anyone . my kids are all grow up , been though uni and have great jobs . and i did it all working full time and being disabled . don't let anyone tell you a man cannot do it . a man can do it better ! great video keep up the great work , your family need you .

Great video! Yes, I see that society feels more sympathy to a single mom than a single dad and there are hundreds of institutions that are willing to help a single mom but so little for single dads. Also I see that in domestic abuse situation.
Great video, was looking for some inspiration. Raising my 13 and 10 year old daughters by myself now...@angryactivist..I think the negative aurora you refer to is because a woman is more likely to "shack up" with a someone who is not the father of her children than a man is to do the same...idk? i would like to see some research on that aspect of it

I am great to see other single-fathers are out there and willing to step up to the plate to raise children on their own, I know how it feels because I have been raised by a single father since i was 7-months old and now I am 18.. I it doesnt matter race, or the colour of your skin any man could be a single father and I am proud to seee that there is other single fathers in the world =)

@MMAJISTY Just to let ya know, Iam a single Dad, my race is irrelevant but I happen to be Caucasian. I can respect where youre coming from, but you have to admit the norm is what it is. We single dads need to unite, no matter their race.
I applaud any adult,be they a single father,single mother,grandparent,etc for taking an active and positive role in a child's life!

That statistic is a bit, vague. 2.3 Million Single Parents? How many are those deadbeat dads that just gets out of the life of their family?
These guys are rare but they are indeed very unique.
