  • Dogs are carnivores. Consumption of carnivores can cause bad effects due to bioamplification overtime. This is why we do not eat dogs. Also why we never ever eat lions and tigers.

  • @sega31098 Who are "we"? A considerable proportion of the world's population have in fact eaten dogs for thousands of years. This will eventually change as more and more Chinese adopt the Western custom of pet ownership, but it will be hard to convince traditionalists of the "bad effects" of consuming something they have have always regarded as health food.

  • I love dogs, and I think this song is just hilarious. Wonderful creativity.

  • A lot of Chinese like dogs too ... but it depends how they're cooked.

  • Great song! You definitely have a good sense of humor!

  • Thanks, Some dog-lovers don't find the song very funny though!

  • I t hink it was very brave of you to take this subject on, given the response that it was bound to provoke from people who don't understand irony. As a schoolteacher yourself, I expect you've heard the crusty old joke of which your splendid song reminded me, but just in case you haven't: one parents' evening, a mother asks her son's curmudgeonly old form tutor, "Do you actually like children, Mr S---?"

"Oh yes," he replies, "but I couldn't manage a whole one."

  • No, I hadn't heard it in quite that form. Thanks for passing it on. Reminds me of Swift's solution to the Irish problem. You're right. I used to teach a unit on "Humour and Satire" and found irony a very difficult concept to get across.

  • or computer nerds which ever you know the point is there are to many people and you know that what do you think the earth needs more people no no it does not im just saying he said when did eating meat become a crime well if you try to eat a person it is a crime

  • Your originals are so cool.

  • Thanks for checking them out.

  • mansbestfriendthere is no reason to eat a dog thats like saying im hungrey i think i will eat u no it is a living thinking breathing creature capable of great things they have helped man kind for thousands of years cop dogs seeing eye dogs hunting dogs guard dogs telling people when they are ill comforting u when u r sad why would you kill such a beutiful animal capable of such great things dogs have done more for man then most people and to sit there and distroy such an animal is just wrong

  • Can I still eat insects?

  • Plenty of delicious insects in the markets of Thailand and parts of China. The grasshoppers are nice and crunchy.

  • Excellent song, I especially liked the fourth and fifth verses.

  • Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • did you eat any dog own there

  • Thanks for checking it out.

  • logical and fair-minded ... an unpalatable truth if ever there was one.

  • Personally, I think I'd find dog unpalatable. But it does seem very popular a bit further north of here. Thanks for your comment.

  • You know, I never really had a problem with other people eating dogs or cats. I mean, we also keep guinea pigs as pets over here, but they're a tasty snack in many other countries. And to the whole, "you can look in a dogs eyes and see the difference between it and a chicken" thing, there's many would say you can look into a chickens eyes and see the difference between it and a horse, or a cow, or what have you. I mean, a pig or a turtle could just as easily be man's best friend.

  • I can respect genuine vegetarians, but when people will happily eat animals and then criticise other cultures for eating dogs, that just seems like discrimination .

  • I've eaten lots of cows and pigs.

  • Thank you Raymond. Interesting song and I learned something new. By the way...I lived in Korea for a time and the locals eat them as well.

  • It is awesome....don't knock it till you've tried it!!! Tastes similar to antelope & panther. For a real experience go to vietnam and have a local take you to a specialized restaurant, we had king cobra, monkey, and panther. It was awesome. Maybe one day the USA will get over their sissy, oversensitivity and experience reality and the great things to experience in this world and stop being concerned about feelings!!!!

  • Ok that is freaking mest up!

WHO THE HELL WOULD EAT A CHICKEN?!

I MEAN COME ON NOW idoits out there...

i have like 10 chickens and to know retards like you (0XxXMeLiSsAXxX0) have done it, pisses me off!

  • to quote yourself, WHO THE HELL WOULD GO TO MCDONALDS?!

  • Well, millions of Chinese would for a start. Personally I couldn't eat dog (don't confuse the storyteller with the character), but I must admit I have eaten bacon and ham, which would definitely piss off a large proportion of the world's population, not to mention steak, which doesn't go down well with my Hindu friends. Not everybody sees the world the way we do!

  • this just sickens me

  • Me too. Those poor guys having to spend Christmas in jail. ;-)

  • LOL. This song is brilliant and sooo funny. And I love your comment -- me too!

  • lol love this song Raymond. I am planning on visiting China someday. My question is what goes better with a fine Merlot, Golden Retriever or Chihuahua? : )

    Rocket

  • Yes, but what does Toby think about it? Forget the Merlot. Dog goes best with the local rice wine. But I can't advise on which type of dog. I've eaten snails, snake, and grasshoppers in China, but I really do draw the line at dog, no matter what they say about its health benefits.

  • Well I have to tell you Raymond, Toby is not speaking to me after my last comment. He does not like your song at all lol. I must admit that I might try snake and grasshoppers, but really I would never eat dog meat. I might try a few glasses of rice wine though : )

    Rocket

  • You have the right to be a vegetarian, but what you see as an "obvious truth" is not obvious to the vast majority of people. Do you have the right to judge them? However, I respect your point of view. My main criticism is of people who think they are culturally superior to those who eat dog, while they are quite happy to eat other kinds of meat.

  • Sick. Dogs are not like chickens or turkeys. They were domesticated to be 'man's best friend' as well as to work along side man. Not to be eaten. It's still sad that chickens and turkeys are killed for their meat, but like I said, dogs were never meant for that. And any moron can look into a dog's eyes and see the difference. I wish I could kill people for their meat. How do you like that?

  • This is a very "western" response. There are other cultures that see it very differently. And there are yet others that see it as unthinkable to eat cattle. And still others who would agree with you because they see dogs as dirty animals, second only to pigs. Personally I could not eat dog, but I try to understand another person's point of view.

  • dont support dog or animal abuse anywhere fuckin gross stuff
