He was CLEARLY looking for the pass in the direction of the ice, it was timed to be completely dirty. Even if his head was up, he would have had no time to react. Thats why it was a misconduct, it was a cheap shot.

don't understand checking to head rule do you? check would have been clean, no question there. no elbow, no move from the arm to the head. but fact is, that no player has the right to check a player against the head, even though the checked player might have his head down. so here we have a check to the head and neck area. after IIHF rules this is a perfect example for a 5+GM penalty ...
