I have a tongue section from histology, but im not sure what papillae i have, because its have a lot of cells that look lik its coming off the papillae, i thought they are taste buds but the papillae dont look lik they r fungiform or circumvillate and filiform dont hv taste buds, so what cells are those (they have some nuclei in them and when stained with Gomori's trichrome show red connective tissue around them) they just look lik they're falling off the papillae so what papillae i hv?
Godd bless you for these videos! You make everything SO much more understandable than a bunch of stale pics in a book. I have a lab practical on muscle tissue coming up...wish me luck.
You really helped me today cause tomorrow i have the last exam of the year of histology I'm from Iraq and give you my opinion and it is that you are a prophesier in histology ..... Lot of thanks to you ...
i swear when i started the histology course, i had no idea what the hell i'm looking at.... lectures were dull and boring...this...this helped me so much... i understand better and have the motivation to learn more.. thank u!!!
Very good overview of the tongue. However, at 2:08 you show pupillae that you call fungiform that cannot be because they are perakeratinized. A good fungiform is shown at 3:14 with good taste buds. As far as I know fungiform papillae are not as common and are not perakeritinized.
Greetings from Europe. I want to thank for these videos even when I'm not medical student, but I'm curious about histology. It looks like a second cosmos which I have to discover for myself. Good to know how everything is built on a cellural level inside me.
