My sister was at this gig & said the atmosphere was absolutely electric. She went to see them quite a few times. Unfortunately I never got the chance to see them live but love their music especially the old stuff. Singing here of course about the highland clearances, when families were burned out of their homes because the landowners wanted the land back for their own purpose & leaving the crofters with nothing. You don't hear us harping on about it though, unlike some who can't let the past lie

i was at barrowlands in I think it was 2004 or 2004 I think it was, best place in the world to see runrig by far, there's obviously some really good other places to see them like Tonder festival so I've been told, but Barrowlands is like going back to their closest starting point the Glasgow Kelvin hall was where they had their first ever gig for this association blair douglas's mum was holding an event for or something.
