@barryo20011 Thanks for your interest. Once the air is removed from the sealed bag as vacuum is created. This applies an even pressure to the banding package. So, initially the banding package is taped prior to being placed in the bag. Taping the package keeps the wood members aligned. Then the bag is sealed. Then the vacuum pump is turned on so that the air can be removed thus creating a vacuum. (No other clamps are needed.)
