If you are asking why American cars are so big, there are several reasons. This truck, for example, is a super duty truck. It is meant for commercial level work. It needs to be big and powerful to get the job done. As for passenger cars: America has traditionally had much more room and much lower fuel prices. If it was practical, would you not want a bigger car? After all, you get more room, comfort and versatility.
Yes You are right from one side, yes it`s comfy I know, so the prices are differnt.
I said so becouse in Europe this kind of cars are not practic- size matters. I know that I cannot compare USA to Europe but in my opinion most of American cars are too big.
You are right in that respect. If you were to put an American car in Europe, it would not be practical at all. However, a European car in the US would experience some (not as many) problems. However, I have seen videos where some Europeans have imported full-size American cars like Chevy Caprices and Suburbans.
Of course, becouse to buy and import for eg. a sport car from USA is cheaper than buy a car on European market, for eg. Dodge Viper imported is cheaper in Poland three times than market price.
Um, why are you uploading this now IL? The truck has already debuted at the Texas State Fair about a month ago. You can easily find press pictures everywhere and it will be availible next Spring, not summer.
Not sure how the new 6.7L will be rated from truck to truck, but I know the F-450 and F-550's that are chassis cabs do not make the same power and torque as the F-250 and F-350's with the current 6.4L in them. The 450's and 550's actually make less.
Come on, man. They dont make these "super-duty" trucks for people that have businesses hauling stuff and may actually have need of such a vehicle. They're for suburban douche bags to feel better about their small cocks and emasculating office jobs while they stroke off to Rush Limbaugh about how liberals are pussies.
Yeah, I absolutely agree with what the goal of what you're saying. But I question your statistic that suburban conserve-o-apes only account for 5% of the market. If real haulers, such as yourself, are 95% of the market, then it wouldnt make much sense for Ford to overpower and under MPG their trucks. But the reality is they're now designing their vehicles for the suburbs, where brute horsepower makes small men feel large. This truck isn't for you, dude.
i disagree, the v10 toaureg was a work vehicle, who'd buy a diesel engine that's ridiculously unsmooth and has 350 bhp and 550 lb/ft of torque if not for work?
plus, every review i've seen of it says it works best as a torque car or hard core off roader.
honestly, i could care less about the ford f350. it just popped up in my subscribe bar.
I know, i have a 2001 Excursion with the 6.8L v10, and it is amazing. In 2 years of operating it (we bought it used) we have never had a problem with it. It is very smooth running even with 8 people in the truck,
Well, if you put a smaller engine in it, and try to pull the same stuff, you'll put way too much stress on the engine. In the long run, you'll save more money buying the larger engine. The larger engine will last longer, so you won't have to buy another truck as soon. You would use more gas, but it would still be cheaper than buying a new truck sooner.
Unless this video is months old and they were too lazy to post it, this aint no spy video. Ford has videos with Mike Rowe up on youtube and unveiled the truck over a month ago.
this is a big thing

I don't think the MPG of the truck is the main cause of the bankrupt -.-
More torque=more weight towed
More weight towed=less trips
Less trips=A lot less fuel even if the MPG is higher
