  • This is way more than what security forces actual does. That's funny.

  • May I ask a question?? If I joined SF, and make it, would I be able to volunteer for additional training ( parajump, ACT, etc.) To be somewhat of an infantryman, I wanted to do TACP or SERE, but im leaning a little towards this as my third option , I just want to know if I could receive aditional training to qualify as a more unique and specialized soldier, like TACP and SERE

  • When you're SF can you opt for better training? Like is there any fighting courses you can take or anything of that sort.

  • I just love how my favorite song is used for this video lol I cant wait to get to shipped - USAF <3

  • @AFwolf37, I definitely agree HOOAH (ARNG CO) & my spouse is USAF Capt.

I love and support all of our branches "one team, one way, USA"!!!

  • @SolidBrew fuck yah

  • do Air Force SF get deployed and fight in combat idk sorry if its a stupid question

  • @sexibeast321 Yes.

  • Been in SF for 10 years and I have never seen one jump out of a plane or combat dive.

  • @kr8caos2 those are the Ravens. its a spec ops branch of security forces. very very unheard of. they work hand in hand with the secret service.

  • What do u have to do to end up with the job of driving the little cart things around near the runway?

  • lol they try the make the AF look so badass.. this was a good laugh!

  • @MindReader1775 come on... respect them

  • @MindReader1775 You know, the "Chair Force" actually has their own special forces, and their own base defense/personnel protection while they're outside the wire. They're the cops. The Security Forces, and they do work with the Army quite often. Don't disrespect another branch of service again, I for one being a member of SF am a bit offended. Especially when those talk down on any part of the military when they're not even serving. And, If you are serving, you'd know better.

  • @arisaf88 try telling personnel from 732esfs det 2 that we don't get CABs. We fell under the 93MP and were awarded multiple army decs, to include the CAB (even though we can't wear it like the army)

  • @mistergrin During basic you get a "dream sheet" to fill out. Put down moody afb and you might get mucky. If not, then you can always apply at a later point in our career

  • @prodigyelite7

you don't have to be in special forces crazy good shape but you have to be in shape. I've been an sec fo troop for almost 3 years, been on 2 deployments to Afghanistan and getting ready to head to Iraq in april 12'. you have your ups and downs of this career field. and when your in Meps you can pick your job and during like your 7th week you go see a career counseler for the job you want!

  • Comment removed

  • To all you un-experienced, SF is the infantry of the AF and yes they do kick down doors and yes they can be rangers, SF is a door to different roads! I never meet a ranger, marine or SO that we couldn't handle! Just cuz were AF doesn't mean we cant wip your ass!

  • @SolidBrew First off it is SFS, SECFO, or Security Forces, SF is Special Forces..which is definately not SECFO. If SFS really bust down so many doors why have the Airmen who have died overseas not died from actual Combat. For instance, most have past away from "accidents", A1C Jacobson died from an IED but Face it, no one has ever been awarded a "combat infantry badge" in security forces, there are more people in LRS and Civil Engineering (EOD) with "Combat Action Badges"...Reality.

  • @arisaf88 What is LRS?

  • @mistergrin LRS is Logistics Readiness Squadron...Vehicle Operators primarily are the ones i was talking about.

  • @arisaf88 Your an idiot look up the story for Staff Sgt. Eric Barrios he was awarded the Combat Action medal while working with Army Special Forces. The Army hires the Air Force for certain jobs such as convoy security, so they are working side by side with the Army outside "the wire".

  • @angryroc SSgt Barrios is ONE Security Forces member out of the thousands in the USAF not to mention he was/is a Military Working Dog Handler. There are only a few members in Security Forces that have actually seen combat. Face it, when back home all security forces members do is check ID Cards, Guard the Gate, and Guard Airplanes. Have fun working long hours, weekends, and holidays. There is a reason I know so many people in this career field want to re-train, it sucks.

  • @arisaf88 That doesnt matter what matters is that security force do see action, yes not as much as Army infantry or Marine infantry but they still see it and besides what the hell does infantry do when they are home...... they train thats it. At least with Security forces they are helping out when they are at home not infantry, all they do is just train.

  • @SolidBrew Hell yeah!

  • @SolidBrew Defensor Fortis brother!

  • @SolidBrew HUA!

  • @SolidBrew HUA!

  • @SolidBrew cross the blue's path and you'll be seeing blue birdies! lmao air force is always looked down on and never respected....

  • some people say security forces is the Infantry of the Air Force...if this was true why are there Women in Security Forces, last time I checked Women cannot be Combat Arms in the Army so ask yourself are they really Infantry or just Base Defenders...hence the "Defensor Fortis".

  • @arisaf88 Defensor fortis means "Defenders of the Force", I don't know about you, but that phrase sounds like it can mean a lot more than glorified "base defenders". I'm not saying they're infantry, of course not, but from what I've heard, they've been doing a lot of the leg work also. They go outside the wire.

  • with air force ccts pjs and tacp jobs you get rangers, seals, etc all wrappped up in 1 job.

  • @evildragon321 I dont know if i would compare Tacp with ranger training but CCT an PJ fore sure..

  • @chazlesniewicz i hope you know that TACP's are a two man team that deploy primarily with rangers and work side by side with them. they undergo some of the most intense training in all of the military. the intensity of the training for TACP, CCT, and PJ's aren't very different rather the focus on their line work work is different.

  • @steelstrings1312 Most TACP's deploy with infantry. I am aware of jtacs and romads. Certain Tacp's do deploy with SF but that being said most TACP's don't even come close to the kind of training as CCT and pj. Don't get me wrong TACP's are hard men but not

  • @evildragon321 Special Tactics?

  • now, for the 820th. Theyre job is to deploy, thats it. Its the 820th Security Forces group out of Moody AFB GA. They have all kinds of fun stuff, but like I said, they deploy. Unlike most SF who return home and go into an LE/Sec role, these guys just train for their next deployment. Now if you wanna go uber-hua, youapply for a contingency response group. They get first pick for army schools (arbn, sniper, pathfinder, etc...). After that, you can TRY to apply for the 6SOS, and then onto spec ops

  • @sgtMuffy Can a recruit choose to be in the 820th?

  • and for everyone talking about becoming "elite" SF. It depends on where you're at. AF mobility command bases have Ravens. Its a hua school out of fort dix that teaches you flight deck denial, more hand to hand combat. You fly with cargo aircraft to locations that lack security, and defend the aircraft. Its extremely overrated (sorry Ravens), but a good thing to have

  • you can do anything from guarding a gate in iraq or making up your own weapon, gear, and grow a beard, and work for the 6th Special Ops Squadron. SF swas born from Army Rangers back in the day. We've taken their airbase defense techniques, and perfected it. You'll have a lot of ups and down in this career field, but its only what you make of it...

  • the guys crying about SF are the troops who lack motivation and took the career field because it was the first choice their recruiter gave them. O even worse, it was the only job they qualified for. Unfortunately, they make up the majority of our career field. come in, stay out of trouble, and stay hua. You'll be rewarded. We aren't simple infantry. Stateside our job is securing the base. Overseas we fill a wide variety of roles. We are the basically advanced heavy infantry.

  • Comment removed

  • @spcjen they are also getting they're own infantry.

  • @WingmanRising If they are doing that its because they want a greater role in wars in the future. You cant win wars by just dropping bombs alone. However, the army has been doing its job for 234 years now. Why would the airforce need infantry any ways?

  • @spcjen its going to be more for defending a base, not kicking down doors

  • @spcjen There are a number of Airforce careers where you can get your Ranger tab, such as CCT and PJ. Those guys are deployed with Navy Seals, so why go Army?

  • @spcjen From what I've heard from my Army buddy, not everybody can go to Ranger School fresh off basic training. I mean you can, but you have to know "somebody" if you get my drift.

  • @cysquatch08 The CCT's And PJ's are good choices they support all special ops accross the board, but that community is much smaller then ranger. The main point why would enlist to be in security forces when you can play hard all of the time?

  • Comment removed

  • I'm joining the air force no doubt but can anyone help me as to what I should do I wanna do security forces for the most part but I need outside info not just what the recruiter says...... Thanks

  • Security Forces is a bunch of lame ass BS. Trust me, I'm SF lol. fml

  • @FlasherDisaster what makes it lame ass bs? (im interested in joining is all)

  • @FlasherDisaster So is that the only job there was when you enlisted or is it the only job you qualified for?

  • if you wanna do the stuff you see on here join the infantry

  • Don't do this job it's not what you think.

  • Don't believe the hype...

  • @KnightSights I'm not a woman but thanks a lot for that...

  • @Mashin3ry He doesnt know anything about this, ignore his ignorance. Dont worry about GPA just try your hardest on the ASVAB, and start working out.

  • @iKuHBooMz Thank you very much that made me feel better :)

  • @Mashin3ry honestly the only thing GPA would matter for is if you want to be an officer.

  • @iKuHBooMz Nope, I want to enlist under the Security Forces, i hope it's easy to get in too.. i dont think i should believe KnightSights...

  • Comment removed

  • @KnightSights Theres other oppourtunities in the SF rather than just "sitting around" And I'm used to just standing around forever doing nothing anyway, that doesn't really bother me.. I want to be deployed overseas and hopefully join the Counter Snipers or do patrols in the streets with other soldiers..

  • First off is all that footage just training? and second i thought security forces was just a base cop.

  • @skaterboi568 No Security Forces has two Roles, Security Police and Security Forces. Security Police are your cops, Security Forces Guard the Birds, Go outside the wire to get info, and Conduct Air Base Defense.

  • @SaphireTear but when you enlist both are under "Security Forces Specialist" correct?

  • @skaterboi568 Security Forces Apprentice will be your AFSC untill you get done with Upgrade Training. But no it is not all Law Enforcement, I've worked LE a few times...but mostly Security.

  • How do you get into the 820th? I was wondering?

  • 6 years prior service USAFSF here, the training, what you see, is great. The job is boring. If they ever use us like they want then it will be much better. Don't get me wrong I loved my job and K9 Is the way to go. Just be squared away and make the best of it.

  • omfg..... i leave the 29th.... why not now :(

  • =] I just got my job, I'm leaving in January for BMT. so stoked!

  • @rumord17 nice dude i leave January 24th for BMT

  • proud to be AMERICAN

  • @Okinawa 820th is just that 820TH, Ravens are a separate group designed to proved security for high profiles, And there is no such thing as Daggers! I was SF for 6 years and a bad mother fucker at that! No one has ever heard of it! Besides Ravens aint that hot to begin with! 820th is a constantly deployed command!

  • @SolidBrew Damn Strait Raven isnt much. Ill admit, yea some good Training, But Every time they show up with a plane, they do Four Hour shifts, in their Second Chance Vests, While im Wearing Full Battle Rattle, Working my 14-16 hour shift.

  • 820 is the elite security forces. I was in 2004-2008 any questions just ask me. I was 91 MSFS part of the Space command

  • @TheBlackdragon936 what exactly do they do?

  • @shdowstepper yea like just stand outside of afb? cuz i know they changed to civilian gate guards with a private company or sumthing. reasearch SERE and Pararescue well SERE you need a guaranteed in your contract before BMT

  • 4 months baby 4 months!!!!

  • if u want to do any of this stuff you have to apply to the 820th raven squadron, their like the upper class security forces. If you are that bad ass you can get picked up for the security forces group called "The daggers" which is a reserverist special ops groups only for SF out of herbert AFB" rememeber i said their black ops so their tough to get into or hear about

  • @OkinawaYutaka the 820th Raven Squadron Huh? WTF is that supposed to be?? and the daggers??? Do me a favor and stop posting nonsense for the young ones who are coming on here for actual info.

  • @PararescueRanger160 820 is real I talked to them when I was in SF

  • @OkinawaYutaka It's DAGRE(Deployed Aircraft Ground Response Element). Not Black Ops or Spec Ops Cops. Just under AFSOC.

  • @OkinawaYutaka Hahaha! So what does "black ops" mean? That term has been over-used by hollywood, and I have little faith that producers actually know what it means.

  • damn, i can't wait to join the airforce

  • Very few people in security use or even get to do the stuff shown in this video. You will be at a gate or on a patrol on the base bored. If you like watching movies to kill the boredom and a lot of BS then go see your nearest recruiter.

  • I plan on joining the SF very soon, but im well aware that im most likely NOT gonna be doing most of this ranger stuff.

  • didn't know sf parachuted?

  • ahahahh i wish sf was like this some poor kid is going to watch this and join up

  • This is not Security Forces. We sit around and bullshit on top of our Humvees all night.

  • @Aluviatar lol sounds awesome

  • That my son job.

  • hahahaha this made me laugh so hard... god i cant wait to get out

  • @mrchidsey1 Why??????? Please Reply!!! Im confused. After all the vids i've seen here on Youtube and my lil research on the internet I really want(ed?) to do this USAFSF. Is it really that bad? Or just for some people or what? please you active duty out there or vet ANSWER

  • @pinche1994 Because over 90% of the stuff shown in this video is NOT what you will be doing in SF. Do more research. You're more likely to be standing at a gate checking I.D.s. It is all about what base you go to.

  • @Vaughan0619 thanx. so.. do u.. Which bases.. idk. i gotta lot of questions. If UR willing to help me please message me or something! Pl3ase if not, that sucks 4 me.

  • @pinche1994 Hey man. Send me a message if you want. I'm a Staff Sergeant in Security Forces. I'll give you no BS answers.

  • @pinche1994 this video does show alot of things sf do.but also shows alot of shit youll never do but only here about from some douche who "did it at his last base".as afsf there is a chance u can see combat but its not likely gunna be found by jumping out of planes or sweeping some hostile village.most likely ull be sleeping in the back of an mrap on a seemingly never ending patrol or watching a movie in a tower when some poor farmer wants a quit buck and shoots a rocket or lays and ied for u..

  • In security forces are you allowed to volunteer for deployment ,lets say you want to go to Afghanistan can you go?.

  • do they have the buddy system in USAF were u sing up with ure friend

  • @B34STYxWELLMAN

they do, that way you go to basic same date, not so much MEPS swear in together but, yes on basic

  • Basic July 12th, Security Forces tech school, then hopefully I can request a change to either K-9 or Raven. Looking forward to it either way.

  • @Saforge no shit? Im leaving for basic July 12th too. Im also in Security Forces, guess Ill see you there haha

  • @Saforge u wont b able to go Raven unless u go to a base that offers the program. hopefully u dont get a PRP base like Minot or F.E. Warren. unless u like watching grass grow

  • @frshawn28 lol

  • Being a army veteran,11 bravo infantry,I'm happy to see you airmen steping up your game.

  • @LOST11B thank you for being one of those people who don't through airmen under the bus.

  • This video doesn't show all the hard core action of spending 12 hours on a flight line sitting in a truck when home station or sitting on a gate deployed. ok the 532nd and a few OTW deployment in Afghanistan do exist but they are hard to get. thank god im getting out of this AFSC!

  • @phoenix120000 amen!

  • Im shipping to basic july 19th, for SecFor and I cant wait. Just hope its not too infantry-like. I have a wife to think about.

  • I can't fuckin wait bro.

  • ive heard that all you do for this is check id's at a gate but this looks like more than that were you a higher rank or something

  • Best SF video I've seen. GJ

  • earn the beret and then you can hoooyahh and stuff

  • 22nd SFS as well as 151 SFS.

  • i leave august 16th for secruity forces !!

  • @MidnighTx10 Me too bro lol

  • @RTellWGHS11 sweeeeet where ya live

  • @MidnighTx10 East Tennesse, what about you?

  • @RTellWGHS11 MiSsOurI.got a friend comin with me also=P ready to go to texas and see da mexican chickz? lol

  • @MidnighTx10 No joke lol It's gonna be a long 21 weeks.

  • @RTellWGHS11 its ok im sure sum1 will bring an xbox @ tech school lol

  • Brings back memories. 91msfs hooahhhh!!! 2004-2008. If any of you have any questions about USAF SF just ask I'll be happy to answer.

  • @TheBlackdragon936 Hey what physical test do you have to pass to be sf?

  • @ToastyTouch First you have to pass basic, then you have tech school down the street. The physical test is given by instructors in phase 3 of tech school. They will train you at camp Bullis in phase 3 with the Army. The test is different for your instructors. Our was 1,000 jumping jacks, 1,000 pushups, and 1,000 crunches. In addition our instructors had situations for us to overcome and if we did not do it, we would stay up all night until it was done to earn it.

  • @TheBlackdragon936 So is there a water course you have to pass?

  • @TheBlackdragon936 What? So do you mean that Airmen has to do 1,000 repetitions of push ups and crunches?

  • Leaving August 9th going to be SecForces hopefully 820th. I dont know what people are talking about these guys dont look like mall cops to me.

  • @360pinoy oh yeah no shit dude? me too im leaving august 9th for SF i cant wait

  • Anyone leaving 10 May? with SecFor as Afsc?

  • @RunThruKing739 wish i was im still waiting on a waiver lol

  • @dtrip09 wow man, good luck with that.. I had started my process with the USAF back in May 2010... took me awhile to drop some lb's for the AF cause MEPS fucked up with my height/weight... goodluck with those waivers!

  • @RunThruKing739 yeh it has only been 15 days since my waiver was put in so im hoping they dont drag it out the entire 45 days lol but hoping i will get in, if not then im going to try air national guard or army

  • @dtrip09 Fyi steer clear of ANG.. know a few peeps that hated it and went Active asap.

  • I just found out a couple days ago i'm going to be doing this for my first job into the AF. Didn't expect it, but i'm definatly excited to try it out.

  • I cant wait to be SF

  • I leave on June 14th for BMT then going to Security Forces Tech School after!

  • @brighi1454 hey man i leave june 14th too for basic training and also security forces after for tech school man

  • @jszakal0224 your going to be at Lackland about 21 weeks basic and teach for us is there. Get used to the humidity

  • Cool video man. I just enlisted in the USAF and i choose SF as my job. Im leaving to bootcamp right after i finish my spring semester. This video motivates me, cant wait to start my training.

  • Hey who ever made this thank you i want to join the air force when i finish high school and i want to do security forces.
