This is the best Rachel/Zenyatta video I have ever seen. Great job:) I agree with Modelhorsemoviemaker. Zenyatta's the best, but Rachel Alexandra's good too. They both belong with some of the best of all time.
I personally prefer Zenyatta. Rachel Alexandera is an amazing horse and I don't hate her or even dislike her what-so-ever, but I gotta hand it to Zenyatta. She really does have a lot of talent and it almost seems like whenever shes loaded into that gate, shes telling the boys that girls can do anything boys can, but girls can do it in high heels. Don't argue with me. I'm just having an oppinion.
@SuperCharlieKitty zenyatta only raced one way, which was at the back, and she wouldnt be able to pull that in a match race, especially against a speed monster like rachel, if she did, rachel would be to far away, no matter if rachel was tiring, she would still be to far away for zenyatta to catch her... but if zenyatta ran with rachel, it would be close... now we just have to see how their foals will go

I don't have a huge problem with match races. If Ruffian hadnt broken down we would still be running matches. If she hadnt of done it in the match, she would have done it in a work, or another race. but ruffians trainer said, when she came out of that starting gate you can see, she hit her left shoulder really bad, which puts massive amounts of strain on the right front leg, due to the weight shifting to that side for support, resulting in her sesamoids weakening, and she broke down as she started to speed up, you can see she was pulling away, but thats when the strain from the earlier mis-hap took its toll and she broke down.... i know she would have won anyway!

It's such a shame... no horse deserves to die like that, especially when they are doing something they love so much. People have said a lot of negative about these 2, but what it boils down to at least we had them to give it thier all to entertain us. They have brought a lot to this sport.

@JR08620 well to be fair... they can only beat the horses that have the guts to show up. It's not the horses fault. The 09 Classic wasnt too terrible. Gio Ponti has been disapointing since, yes, but he was good last year. Summer bird wasnt too bad either. And of course, Rip Van Winkle & Twice Over have proved to be good horses since the Classic. But I do agree that the majority of the fields Zenyatta has to race against are no good, but like I said... it's not her fault. =)

@passsword95 I have no problem with her using the same clips, but not directly from my video. As I explained, I spend almost as much time gathering my clips as I do, putting the video together. And with these clips being so short and sharp, she would almost certainly have to use "sections" of the video, as opposed to single clips. Everything, and I do mean that, can be found here on youtube. They are not hard to find, or download. Plus it would give her more freedom to use them however she wants
Great video. If they ever do make a movie, this should be the trailer. As a Rachel fan, I think the billing should be reversed to have the reigning Horse of the Year on top.
Zenyatta has a similar running style to another great filly of a couple of years back called Zarkava. She, like Zenyatta, liked ro come from way of the pace to mow them down. If she comes up against R.A this could be her undoing as R.A won't be stopping and Zenyatta may run out of track to nail her. Zenyatta has more risky style of running, where as R.A is more straight forward (Track leaders, then kick off the top bend). Though I still would fancy Zenyatta to nail R.A in the last 50 yards.

Do whatever it takes. I flew 3000 miles (Seattle to Belmont Park in NYC) to watch Rachel run in the Mother Goose. I was within six feet of her. I got some great shots that I would be happy to send to you. I have a lot of raw video too. It is shaky in some parts b/c we were so amped up to be so close to her. She was heaven sent, I can tell you that. I sure hope you could make it to the race...I would buy you a drink. Your videos always inspire me...

Zenyatta is beating awful fields. They are mostly 4 or 5 horse fields of nags.
RA is retired because the horse was beaten twice this year at less than 3-5.
Give me a break.
