When you do the slice thing, and that criminal guy appears, I tried doing that, then nothing happens. The criminal doesn't appear..

There's 2 stones that you can slice. The one I sliced at 4:40 or the one next to the guard at 4:45. Make sure the 3 big 'lanterns' (like the one at 4:41 on the right) in the commoner's qtr. are lit up at nighttime.

Earlier in the game, if you try to get past, they'll stop you. Distract them using a brush technique. <-- Is that what you meant?

I believe this is only for the PS2 version, as Wii loading screens have had their time reduced. For the PS2 version, mash the X button (the button you jump with).

Yes, if you manage to do either of the following:

a) during the loading screen starting off with a BLANK page, press X to create paw prints. Create -50- paw prints and it will yield a demon fang.

b) during the loading screen starting off with paw prints automatically traveling across the bottom half of the screen, if you time your "X" just right, it will create a larger paw print. Creating 5 large paw prints on one of these loading screens will yield a demon fang.

If you keep talking to the soldier, he'll say something about being drunk and letting you see it. So, at nighttime, go into Yama's restaurant (its right by his original position) and talk to the man and he'll let you have it.

@SilverAeilidh You're not required to beat him; nothing will happen if you don't defeat him. If you do defeat all of his forms, however, you'll obtain a stray bead for your efforts.

If you're trying the rock closest to the save point, then try the one to the left of the guard (not his left; if you're looking straight at him from the front).

i have a question. Sorrry if i'm bothering you Aurellene. I took my Okami game to my cousin's house cuz she has a wii. I have 3 save files. I accidentally pressed "new game" but quickly went to wii menu and reset the game. when i selected "continue" it said "no okami save file found". I dont know if my saved files are still there in my Wii. Does that mean i have to start from the beginning again or is it just my cousin's wii?

Unfortunately I know nothing about the Wii. But it seems odd. It shouldn't have erased your saved files, especially when you didn't overwrite anything.

Unless you meant that: You have a Wii. You have 3 saved files on YOUR Wii. You took your Okami disk and played it in your cousin's Wii, and then the saved files won't show up. Is that what you meant?

Take the SD card out of your Wii and put it in your cousin's. It'll work fine then. ;)

The hidden technique is called "Fireburst".

Go to Taka Pass and defeat Molster Leader Moley (head-butt him 3 times), and he'll drop a teacup. Take that teacup to the man at the entrance of Taka Pass, and he'll give you a Golden Mushroom (/watch?v=yltmoIFEgwI at 4:00).

Then take that Golden Mushroom to Chef Yama and you'll need to do a minigame (/watch?v=biCKJ0SOJFg).

hey question so ive finished the game but can i keep all my brush techniques? and all the weapons i bought from shops? if so can you tell me how?

No, you can't keep all your brush techniques, unfortunately.

You can, however, keep all of your weapons except for the last weapon of each type (Solar Flare, Tundra Beads and Thunder Edge).

When you beat the game, you should've seen an option to save. Save your game, play it, and you should see your weapons that you collected in the previous playthrough there, except for the ones mentioned above.

Which rock is hayazo hiding in the SECOND time around?

In the first rock you find him in, there's a guard nearby. Go towards that guard. To the left of the guard (your left, if you're looking at the guard 'face-to-face') there should be a stone. Break that stone, and Hayazo should come out of it.
