  • I love watching Keith play his guitar. You can tell how much he loves it. <3

  • STUPENDA CANZONE , UNICO....KEITH

  • 1:40 is so awesome

  • Unpretentious , true to himself. Keith is gr eat. His autobiography is fantastic too.

  • Venniey

You've had KR's book for almost a year, but can you read it without help from your mommy or grandma. Ask either of them (anyone over 55) what the term "speaking in jest" means. KR, by his own admission, lived a life of sex, drugs, & rock-n-roll; the ability to read or write was not on his ToDo list. The most talented member of the Rolling Stones and a brilliant guitarist, I admire him for that - so should you. Tell your mommy and grandma I said Hi.

PS... What is a "smack down dude"?

  • Nice smile off Charlie towards the band at 5.44. And if Charlie's happy then you know the ships in shape

  • Scharf !! - echt scharf.

  • Invincible Keith...

  • une pure merveille

  • Keith call me you still owe me a grand!

  • Keith Richards wrote a book? I didn't know he could even read. Anyway, he's a great guitarist and even a good singer.

  • @BluezGuitarz That's a smack down dude. Couldn't even read. Give it up. Where have you been? I've had the book for almost a year.

  • charlie watts is my hero, that guy can drum.keith is one cool cat.

  • You know that Keith was first noticed musically (in grade school) for his beautiful soprano voice.

  • kith sings the THURTH

  • Always love you, Keith

  • C'est un genie

  • Keith is an amazing talent, as is Mick. Probably why the stones have had such a long run of success.

  • the truth shit happins

  • Come on ARGENTINA 2011! Please!

  • great song, great man,and dont forget ronnie wood ,what a player.

  • Heavens, what is this footage from? I want.

  • Keith, the one and only. He`s so smart, so soft and tender .He`s not to old for rock and roll, but he is to young to die. See you soon in 2012.

  • I totally see what he means by Charlie

  • Seen the Stones 25 times and always look forward to Keef's solo spot - i've never seen anyone enjoy the crowd reaction as much as Keef - a true rock legend and it's about time they hit the road again.

  • Gotta love the man!

  • Keith can appear and perform by himself, nobody wants to see Mick without Keith.

  • Keith Rocks man!!! AWESOME I´m just finishing read LIFE by Keith Richards GOD BLEES YOU ALWAYS KEITH. A very super ROCKSTAR of all time.

  • lovely. keith is just a gorgeous human being. keep giving that love brother.

  • GREAT GREAT GREAT MUSICIAN - KEITH - MAY YOU NEVER DIE

  • 0:00 <-- free replay button

  • Life is not slipping away when you have read the book

  • An amazing crafter of songs. There are no accidents in the songs that he writes today - no wasted or unecessary notes or sounds. This Place is empty is a perfect example or Lowdown or Flip the Switch. Unbelieveable SONGS.

Keith wanted to see if he could make rock and roll grow up. You did it, Keith.

  • i like eric clapton, jimmy page, santana, david gilmour, petrucci, but i dont like keith richards music...

  • @wesamalsaadi I don't like Petrucci but I like Keith, Clatpon, Gilmour and page :P

  • @wesamalsaadi fuck you your bastard!

  • Genialer Song !! Keith ist ja sooo coool !

  • Nice sound on the snare drum Charlie! Keith is really a very good musician and singer.

  • @chungiemunchin the first time i seen the stones, it was all about charlie,, he rocks

  • He inhabits this song like a primeval animal. Fabulous stuff.

  • What I've always loved about Keith is the way he seems to turn a 40,000 seat stadium turn into a 400 standing room only club. His plays so intimately, either you get that or you don't and if you do... god damn ain't it fun too listen?!

  • Great song! A lost classic by Keith. Man, it makes me feel young again!

  • I love ya, Keith. You still get to me after 30 years of listening to you. You've got the silver.

  • is this on a dvd?

  • @93MrAcdc Yes, it's on the Four Flicks DVD. It is very worth it, one of my favorite concert DVDs

  • happy birthday keef.

  • Mr Mad wishes Keith all the Best on his birthday

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE HUMAN RIFF!

  • Happy Birthday Keef. You rock.

  • I thought about this tune at my father's funeral 2 weeks ago .......... RIP Pops.

  • sad, very sad ...but beautiful!

  • THIS IS A SAD SONG THAT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD!

  • @THEAUDIOCONSTRUCT Strange... the purpose of the blues is to make you sadder... not good. ;)

  • @H2Cardoso who said this is blues? SOMEONE GET ME A SLEDGEHAMMER I NEED TO GO TO WORK ON THIS FOOL

  • Comment removed

  • he wrote this in 88 folks.... people who say the stones have not put anything good out in 30 years need to look a littler closer at there post tatoo you output.

  • Thanks for the mini review of his book. I plan to read it soon. I am glad he has made it this far, and wish Keith the very best along with his family. I have enjoyed all of his solo music!

  • this is the coolest guy ever!

  • Keith is indestructable. Long live Keith ! He's just so cool.

  • I just baught his new book, it's called "Life" pretty good book! You should check it out

  • I like!

  • I've always liked Keiths voice but I think his guitar playing is amazing. Great tune!

  • I LOVE KEITH. HOPE HE LIVES F O R E V E R.

  • I love this song. Keith and Charlie are the backbones of the band.

  • 'Life' is a damn good read. Highly recommend it. Very enjoyable, lots of laughs too

  • Life is well worth the read, for all who will exist in the reality of tomorrow, thank you for a very gracious memoir Mr Richards, I salute u for you kindness of the songs and melodies and memories

  • ESTIVE NESTE CONCERTO EM COIMBRA

    FANTASTIC

  • wow he smokes three packs of reds and still has a voice like this, very impressed

  • @mikemik712 i think he smokes more than 3 packs maybe 5xD

  • i love this song. and Keiths voice is great.

  • woow :D

  • This clearly shows Keith can sing! One of my faves of his. Thank you Mr. Richards for surviving, and I cannot wait to read your book.

  • @kymjeff It's a great book!

  • @kymjeff IMJ BUYING IT TOMORROW.....LOVEEEEEEE YOU KEEF!!!

  • @kymjeff Keith can sing - don't worry about that. Check out his vocal on "Thief in the Night"

  • @kymjeff He certainly can convey passion and feeling...he might not sing opera, but that's not always what music is about. He makes you feel something in your heart and soul, and that's what matters.

  • awesome gets better with age all of them saw Charlie perform at the Bulls Head in Barnes awesome man on the drums..

  • Does anyone know what live is?

  • People don't know how many songs are his

  • i didn't realise how good the stones were untill i saw them live (on dvd),i am now a big fan, also keith richards (to my surprise ) is a very good guitarist,he has a style all his own.

  • I like this Song and I love Keith

  • Que fenomenos los Rolling.....Este tema es Genial, grande Richard!!!

  • firstbornson 1952 is just a kid - but I agree with him 100%.

  • I love this song, Keith, how he enjoys it...

rock is based on the blues!

  • Keith has always been my fav ever since I seen the Stones so many years ago.

  • I'd give my left nut for that es-355. Magic guitar, magic fingers.

It's the songs they played that should determine an instruments worth, eh?

Like Clapton's and Garcia's guitars in the past, Keith's will draw a nutzoid bid in the by and by.

  • I love the Stones, but I very fond of Keith Richards!!! :)

  • keef, we're all just slipping away into the night with love for your music.i played stones songs riding out typhoons.we had a battery operated record player.you guys got me through vietnam, divorce, and heartache.i love you all.george

  • I have never seen or heard Keef look or sound so good. I say this with more than a score of Stones shows in venues of all sizes.(including a couple of pre-stadium club gigs. I seen the WINOS.....And, in a late 80's haze saw Keith drop in on Ron Wood and Bo Didley. WHO IS THIS GUY. Its the blues baby its supposed to have been all about he blues.

  • @920jimbo ,

    It's the blues, baby.

  • When & where is this from?? Seems pretty recent though it's definitely not from Shine A Light. It's really a great performance and the sound & filming are fantastic. I want more!

  • @tnfotompls 4 licks DVD, twickenham, london show from 2002/2003 tour.

  • Kiiet..i want a like u...huuuuuh

  • great song...Keith is quite the vocal stylist...great footage of Charlie too!

  • such an underrated tune.

  • first the sun and then the moon... one of them... is slipping away...

  • first the sun and then the moon... one of them... is slipping away...

  • great song the stones will rock for ever

  • why the hell does keith act just like that guy from pirates of the carribean??

  • @rpkziruvar because he can he was like that long b4 pirates of the carribean was thought of johnie depp copied him as he himself said in an interview during the movie shoot .keith is the ultimate pirate .and that is why they picked keith to play his father in the 3rd movie.

  • @bigchris1691 haha, just said about the same thing, didnt saw your reply!

  • @rpkziruvar Are you kidding? Johny Dep, Jack Sparrow based his personage in the movie on keith richards. Keith isnt acting like some one else. Keith is being imitated, not the other way around. So before you make a statement like that, with the tone as if Keith is pretending he's someone else, do some research.

  • @Mariekelicious great minds and real stones fans think the same.rock on keith

  • @rpkziruvar actually johnny depp based his performance in that movie on a combination of keith richards and peppe le peu

  • the absolute best doesnt get better

  • this is from heart !!!!!!!!!!

  • he needs an orange lee paul to accentuate the solo

  • ...what a writer!

his lyrics are always amazing. he has a reputation only for excess -- but he has more soul and intelligence than many realize; how else can he write such songs. great version, too. love the shots with Charlie poppin' the groove in the background. .Anyone who has not seriously listened to 'Talk is Cheap' is in for a real treat.

    fantastic upload. cheers.

  • His 1988 album made me realize he was the most important member of the band, I did not know he was such a fantastic writer !!! And that album is one of the most under rated of all time. Long live Berry, Lennon. Joe Strummer and Rock and Roll !

Go away Madonna, Britney and RAP !

  • He got a duck's tessitura & gimme goose bumps. Nothing but an human being. Thanxs for all these years, keith.

  • He's by no stretch the best musician in rock 'n' roll (don't even talk about the singing), but the greatest personality. May he live forever.

  • Fantastic-o.

  • Incredible!

  • It's amazing...After years and years, Charly watts still play the drums like a beginner !!! (But he is never out of beat )Simple but effective...

  • @muzikamuz - Yes, it's amazing, after all these years you still write like beginner

  • @MidnightRambler444 , what's the matter ? At least I try to speak a foreign language...And what I said about Charlie Watts was a compliment. So please, be less agressive.

  • @muzikamuz - I was just messing dude, relax

  • How come when he speaks you cant understand him but singing you can clearly??

  • @kimsueh ask him or Ozzy :) :P

  • @kimsueh ask him or Ozzy :P Okay no joke i am in med school and singing and speaking are controlled by two different parts of the brain. thats the best way to put it without getting into the science of it. so either by heredity or by lifestyle one is effected and not the other. :)

  • cool as ice......

  • this is one of the greatest songs ever -so mutch emotion in this song , not to mention the artistic and sund qualities that touch ones soul !

    Thank you for posting -gus

  • was this from the Shine a light film??

  • @WrongGenerationWilf No but it can be found on the Four Flicks DVD. This was 2002 or 2003. Shine a Light was filmed in '06.

  • A great lesser-known Stones/Keef tune......Keef can wrte some great strong, emotional songs along with great rock'n'blues tunes......some people forget that.....

  • for me the greatest musician of all time !!

no one will ever, ever be like keith richards !!

many lifetimes lived on one !!

  • Lisa is beautiful

  • legend !!!! terriblemente exelente !!! indecriptible !!!!!!11111111

  • Yeah he's awesome. Even Johnny Depp is fan of him!

  • probably one of the best musicians that has ever been on this planet.

    keith richards is so underrated!!

  • It dont get any better

  • @15fargus No Doubt!

  • he doesn't have the best voice, but for some reason, I like it.

  • Alguien me podría decir que dice al final además de ''One Love'' o algo así? Gracias ;]

  • All I want is ecstasy But I ain't getting much Just getting off on misery It seems I've lost my touch Well it's just another song But it's slipping away We we didn't sing it long 'Cos it's fading away First the sun and then the moon One of them will be round soon Slipping away Slipping away Slipping away
  • I like the complain in his voice at 2:27

  • Guess it's just another dream That's slipping away Each time I fall asleep It seems I'm just drifting away Just as yo have touched my heart Babe I wake and we're apart Yeah and it's slipping away Here comes just another day That's drifting away Every time I draw a breath It's dying away First the sun and then the moon One of them will be around soon Slipping away Slipping away
  • Keith really got something that night - best Richards performance I ever saw

  • QUE GRANDE KEITH !!!!

  • He has fear for all poor people, because he is too rich...

  • Keef! Very under rated Stones song. Love this song.

  • @firstbornson1952 im sorry mate but Brian is thee rolling stone with out Brian the rolling stones would not be where they are now

  • @thebigfella351 Dude, when the Stones first hit, Brian was my idol in that band. I loved the Vox guitars he played. But Brian pissed his life away. His drug problem caused Brian to be unable to remain a Stone. I think you can agree that without the other four members, Brian possibly would of never become as famous as he did become being in the Rolling Stones. Everything is about chemistry. And dude, please do not be sorry.... everyone is entitlied to their own opinion.......

  • @firstbornson1952 lol i cant even remember writing that but Brian made the rolling stones thats what i think anyway ps i think i was on the drink the day i wrote that lol

  • @thebigfella351 LOL!

  • This song makes me think of my dad, makes me very happy. Love it!

  • This song is dedicated to all the jaded hears who question the mortality of life and see all there friends and family dying, going their separate ways and lovers breaking up .... SLIPPING AWAY .... just another .... slipping away.

  • Jouza.., the best...

  • i wish i could have been there myself

  • The look on Charlie's face at the end says it all--they'd transcended themselves that night. and they knew it.

  • Isn't it a bit cowardly, not to mention idiotic and immature, to toss off obscene insults anonymously to someone who is a complete stranger to you? I believe it is a huge mistake for psychiatric hospitals to allow their patients to use the internet without proper supervision.

  • I could not agree more when it comes to your views about letting people use the computers at funny farms without proper supervision. I also think it is a shame that Keith does not get the opportunity to sing more solo when in the Stones configuration. He does very well when on his own.

    jto1916

  • You know, it's strange that I never thought of this before, but when they play a concert as the Stones, I don't think Richards sings anything but backup. Although Richards/Jagger are a a great writing team, I don't think they trade off lead vocals like Lennon and McCartney. Am I right about that?

And please, I have absolutely no interest in anyone's opinion about my mother's sex life.

  • They don't alternate but Keith sings lead on a handful of songs... Happy, Before They Make Me Run, Little T&A, Can't Be Seen, Slipping Away, Wanna Hold You, You Got the Silver, and that's not even half.. Keith's backup is very rare these days.. Usually on slower songs like Ruby Tuesday and WIld Horses.. But to Keith's singing he always sings two on an album, on Bridges to Babylon in 97 he sang 3.. His songs are usually big time fan favorites

  • your mother is a good person.

  • I am 57 years old. A long, long, long time ago, someone asked Keith why he did not sing Lead more often. His reply was "What would Mick do?" As much as i love Mick's voice, Keith is the biggest "Stone", bigger then Brian. Keith has always stayed with what they were all about... the Blues..

  • @firstbornson1952 The heart and soul !

  • He might be a living legend... that's not to say he can't be boring.

Getting eager for the limelight at his old age,and beginning to think he's Frank Sinatra.

Would'nt even download this dross for free.

  • @PAULLONDEN if this song dosnt make ya feel anything, your just a fucking asshole. :)
