  • let Tommy play it. nah just kidding very talent guitarist you are. different to Tommy's version though

  • hey yeah just to let you know i fully learnt clasical gas. stil with a flat pick. the next one u should try is the one im learning, ,tall fiddler by tommy e. its really good. if i manage to gain the ability to put videos on youtube, i'll post me playin it. keep it up!

  • Yeah well I really want to learn Tall Fiddler but I don't know if I'm ready for it yet...but one day for sure I'll sit down and get to it!! Lemme know if ever you post your video and i'll check it out!

  • hey buddy that was really great. i actually learnt that song recently too and i think my version is good but it needs polishing. the difference is is that i dont actually fingerpick, i just use a flat pick. how i pull it off with just a pick i dont know. but urs was brilliant, i love your version alot, and that bit where u slap the strings for a bit of percussion is cool. i actually need to learn that bit, haha. but no, really good job. keep it up!!

  • Thanks :) I appreciate it a lot!! Good luck in putting all the pieces together too !!!

  • 1:15 was odd??!!! Other then that good!

  • lol It's what mason williams does, His needs polishing but close enough

  • Make that tommy emanuel

  • wooooooooow.....you are wonderful

  • its very much like tommy emmanuels version only more listenable to.favouite

  • Tour simplement genial!

  • Merci beaucoup!!!!!!!

J'ai mis beaucoup de pratique dans cette chanson là!!!

  • wow...can't wait till i can play that good.

  • Hello,

Interesting interpretation, I guess you really wanted to make this tune your own. I like the percussive parts.

What made you decided to play this in the key of B rather than A?

    Good work!

    Best wishes.

    Paul

  • Hey!!!

yeah I kinda like to learn a song and give it my own twist. The percussive part I took that from Tommy Emmanuel...he's a god!!!!

As for the key...I just think it sounds better in the B key...absolutely no other reason! hehe Thanks for the comment :)

  • good job,sounds very nice!

    5/5

  • He is pretty amazing, and a lot of it is in his showmanship... something I could definetely learn from. I've tried a few covers of his tunes here and learned that I need to probably learn to use thumbpicks and learn how to smile!

  • Yeah I bought one of those thumbpicks but I can't play shit with that! I still managed to learn Mombasa, Day Tripper and Since we met by him...and now I'm working on Borsalino. It's not a must-have...but it really helps give the style to what you're playing! Anyways...your cover of 'Son of a gun' is good man! Keep it up :)

  • Cool! I actually like your arrangment better than tommy emmanuel's, concentrating more on the music than the theatrics.

  • hey thanks I really appreciate that! but...I don't think I'm in the same league as Tommy...he's a god!!!!! lol
