Von Stuben is right, eurupean soldiers are like robots they do as they are told all the time, they are also conformists and follow what all their countrymen believe, the american soldier is more of an individual therefore only following orders he agrees and march to battle if it is "his fight". Until then should refrain from going to war, it is a common stereotype that americans are warmongers but turns out it is the europeans who are.

That's "Prussia", or modern-day Germany. Russia wasn't involved in the Revolutionary War (at least, I've never read/studied that they were....). But in this case, they're talking about the Prussians.
