Maybe your right Phillbio66. I was hurt and wanted to get even in some way. It was very humilliating for both of us to bring that on T.V. At the time I just wanted some kind of payback. I didnt think that after 14 yrs. this would come back to haunt me or rather us. In retrospect I went to far.

Thanks fro being honest. I apologize for being such a hardass. I guess I could never understand why people would want to go on shows like this and make their private problems public entertainment. I really disliked shows like this. Getting people to publicly humiliate and degrade themselves was how they entertained the masses. They exploited people for profit and I think that's shameful. I totally agree with you. I watch Jerry Springer,Maury Show,The steve Wilkos Show and wonder Why someone would say some of the things they do on television and it is for the shows ratings. If I had one of these young girls as a daughter and they came on this show and totally disrespected everyone I would probably pull her off stage and whipped some sense into her. (Then she would probably turn me in for child abuse)and that would be another show. LOL! You were nice to apologize. Thank You.

You know Phillbio66 It was a mock trial. The subject matter was off the wall. I did acuse Rachel of sleeping with my ex or sons father but check it out, I wasnt a saint either in those times. We partied alot and did some stupid things. Now Rachel has seen this web site and she is really embarresed. Some am I. But it was over 15 yrs. ago. Weve grown and mellowed out with time. If you were to see us we dont even look the same. And what we got out of the show,a nice trip back east were from Calif.

Was the public humiliation for both you and your sister worth the free trip and an appearance on TV show? I'm wondering why would you'd feel good after doing that in front of a live audience on a TV show? It's obvious the purpose of shows like this is to get the guests to admit to doing shameful things and to publicly humiliate them for entertainment. Their motives are ratings and profit.

You don't know Rachel. This was nothing to her. She has gotten herself in much worse predicaments and she always shrug them off.  This was decades ago. At that time she didn't care about anything or who she hurt. I could see the pie in the face by just her sister. However, the other pies thrown at her by the audience was not cool. Now looking at that by the others makes me feel a twinge of guilt for laughing. Back then I felt she earned it.

Good for her. I think. According to Eva she is now feeling embarrassed about the video being on YouTube. I guess a pie in her face just wouldn't be humiliating enough so they had the audience members to pie her as well. The whole thing was meant to be humiliating. That's why people watch shows like this. They enjoy the humiliation of others.

I am Eva and the girl getting pied is my sister Rachel. This show was meant in fun. At the time I was angry. Didnt know what to do.Well I called the show and they wanted us to come. She agreed to do it. We didnt know they would do the pies. She was a good sport about it all. We had fun. We still fight and argue but one thing is certain we love each other and would do anything for one another

I forgot to mention this but before this happened, they put Rachel on a spinning wheel. As it spun around Eva threw food at her. Although Rachel agreed I don't think she really knew what she was getting into.

The woman in the stockades is my sister... Rachel. Eva too is my younger sister. Reason Rachel agreed to this was because she slept with her younger sister's (Eva) son's dad. Rachel had a habit of that and you had to hold on to your boyfriend. This was a long time ago. Thankfully Rachel is not that way now and both are doing well.

I remember seeing this happen to a 9 year old girl on Nickelodeon uk's U Pick Live.She stood at the front of the studio while the presenters and crew members took their turn to pie her.None of the other kids could do it,only the adults.By the end,she was completely plastered.You could not recognise her.Very funny.

Well at the end she didn't look happy.But she did volunteer to go on the show.I think that having that memory for the rest of her life will be very unpleasant,and it was very cruel as well.

She probably wasn't happy. Why would she be happy after being publicly humiliated like? Yes, she did volunteer but even so I don't think that makes it OK to humiliate someone like that. I agree. That experience probably will always be an unpleasant memory for her.

Absolutely.But the thing that shocks me the most is that the presenters and camera men were all grown men.Even though she volunteered,they didn't have to do that to her,and it makes it worse because she was a child.And her parents probably weren't happy about it either.I think it was a criminal offence for them to do it.I hope they were ashamed of themselves.

Well, there seems to be a lot of public humiliation on children's shows. Apparently the kids like it just as much as the adults. Unfortunately what you described was not even close to being a crime especially since her parents would have given their consent. I doubt they felt ashamed afterwards. How unhappy was she? What was her reaction before and afterwards? Did she seem upset or look like she was about to cry?

Of course,it goes back decades.From the electric company to Tiswas,and yes i think your correct,the kids never actually get hurt.When i said crime what i really meant was,if you did that to anybody on the street,it would be assault and you would be arrested.Her reaction before was pretty calm surprisingly,but after she looked quite upset.her parents probably found it funny,and i just think it should not have been done to a child.Especially not by adult men.

You are taking this way to serious. This in not "cruel" it's a grown woman volunteering to have a pie put in her face. If she didn't want it, she should say no. As for children, they love to do it. Consider shows like WWYD, STL, and even YCDTOTV, the children agree to it and at the end of it, it looks like they had fun. There is a difference between YCDTOTV and WWYD, one is scripted, one is not, but that doesn't change the fact that if it happens to the kid, he or she could always say NO.

What a Humiliation! In the old days just being put in the stocks was done for the humiliation effect. This poor woman got total humiliation by being covered in pie while in a totally helpless position. I'll bet she wanted to escape once the pies started coming. I noticed one hit with great force. I would love to see her being put into the stocks and led away after the pieing!!!

Yes, she's a grown woman but I don't think she volunteered to be pied in the face. It looks she was more like the loser of a mock trial and public humiliation was the verdict. In the end she did agree to go through with it but that doesn't mean it wasn't a humiliating experience. And yes, it was meant to be humiliating. As for the kids shows. I agree. I think that for most kids it is fun to get messy. I think it's different for many of the adults who take their kids on those shows.
