So amazing, in the Polish National Anthem Italy is recalled so many times, as a place to march from. In the Italian one, they give the same value to the Italian and the Polish blood: Russia and Austria got poisoned by drinking them! The Italian song is mostly about Love, Friendship and Brotherhood among the nations (not just the Italians!) and Poland seems to be the favorite....:-)

very good anthem... afaik, this anthem is created after third partition (the interesting thing is the only nation that still recognize poland existence is Ottoman Empire that still maintain diplomatic relationship with pole ambassador in istanbul), which is sung by Dabrowsky's polish legion in north italy. The poles -in this anthem- also said thanks to Napoleon Bonaparte's contribution in re-erecting Warsaw Duchies :).

I love this national anthem. I feel so proud to be half-Polish. Although some of the translation is a bit misleading such as switching round the translation of the last two lines of the chorus.

@Byron10301 Dąbrowski was a general who in XVIII century fought with his soldiers for independent Poland. It was time when Poles fought under Napoleon Bonaparte command. They belived that Napoleon and Grande Armee will help to restore Kingdom of Poland. Than Poland was divided into 3 Parts. Russian, Prussian and Habsburg Austria. In fact Napoleon when he won war with Prussia and Habsburg Austria restored Poland. Polish soldiers participated later in Napoleon invasion to Russia in year 1812.
