It is important to bear in mind that the astral plane is illusory -- what we encounter there are shadows of the real spiritual principles which they represent - to get caught up in the astral is to be caught in illusion - it must be passed through without indulging in the images there.

@cakeisnotanumber all i can say is i have seen my own aura and i can feel energies around a person while giving/passing reiki. i feel disturbances in the "aura" which guide me to the area most in need of the positive energy. when my dad says he can feel heat from my hands passing straight through his knee and after a couple of sessions his knee has never felt better then i am inclined to say that it works for those who need it, science or not, i dont care for aura readings :D

If you stare in to a strangers eyes (in Western culture at least), people find it intrusive or aggressive so they will look away. So they aren't "turning away" because they've been rumbled. When someone knows they are being cared for it makes them better. When someone feels better they relax, when someone relaxes their body functions better. Also if someone thinks positively then their pain doesn't seem as bad. This is nothing mystical. There is no such thing as reiki energy fields however.
@cakeisnotanumber James Randi has demonstrated quite a few things in ways that surround everyone in a situation/scenario that is quite unfamiliar to start with and also a lot of these techniques that are so called proven false have to be applied in an atmosphere that is good for staying relaxed and focussed. it is more a show of defense towards science than actually providing a solid form of testing some of the wonderful ways in their best settings :D

You think of your friends and family a lot day to day, however when they don't call you don't think it's significant that you thought of them. However occasionally when you do get it right you think you're psychic.

@SuperDirtPig Also re the phone thing, the way memory works is that if a memory is associated with a strong emotion (positive or negative) then people are more likely to remember it. So you tend to forget all the times when people call and you weren't thinking of them, or when you think of someone and they don't call. You see as ever intelligent educated people really can explain all those things.

@cakeisnotanumber disproved or not it works and is very powerful, there are other specific healers that have found the introduction to Reiki has strengthened their use of energies in healing and found that is has been in fact stronger. my own Reiki experience is small yet i have found the benefits amazing, i have also had reflexology that is proven and yes that is very relaxing and works also. what ever you believe in i guess and what works for you :D

Since i was 7 i was able to pick up aura's and see things that aren't there i tell myself it's not true telling myself that this is the world around me locking myself away. I went outside off to my local store with my step-father once first time in weeks that i have stepped outside. I freeze for about 5 seconds flat see a bunch of flashing images and a screech with a crash. I come out of it while my dad hurry's me along as we walk down the steps a car crash not 20 feet away from me happens.

i cant see auras.. but i was born knowing how to feel them. all i need to do is be in the same room as a person... but the 3 people im closest with, i can feel their aura from a distance.

That's always a good counter-argument after deleting your original point. It sounds like you're pulling at any reason to criticize what you don't understand, which is reasonable if you haven't explored auras, astral travel or related subjects before.
The younger you start practicing the easier it is to learn. I have compiled a set of exercises for learning how to see auras at my website (see description info). You'll find the techniques beneficial for learning.
You can usually see the etheric aura right away, or after a few days at least. It's a matter of 'tuning in' to that mode of perception -- so it's not like you'll necessarily see them everywhere unless you actually intend to.
I was probably 18 or so when I learned the technique that Tom Chalko teaches. There are others that work well too however... But generally the younger you are the faster results you'll have with aura sight.

Auras were a part of early Christianity when the spiritual practices were more in tune with the mystical...such as iconography allowed for the depiction of otherworldly things. Auras are still common in the Eastern half of the Roman Christian Empire...and they are not considered a Satanic deception as is taught in the West. A golden halo (aura) is just the encasement of the personal aura inside...a symbol of inheritance of every human being...as all are called, in love, to experience the Divine.

@cakeisnotanumber science is not the be all and end all and just because we cannot see or prove something does not mean it is not there and working, some believe in god but they may never see him yet they still believe that he is there guiding us all the time. if some energies are not there then why is it we can manipulate manufactured processes now that means we can send energy across the room to a mobile phone? anything can be posible even if not scientifically proven :D

If people can't provide evidence for their beliefs, of it they fail tests to see if what they say is true then it's probably false. Aura readers have been debunked many times. Check out James Randi and debunking an aura reader.

@cakeisnotanumber all i can say is i have seen my own aura and i can feel energies around a person while giving/passing reiki. i feel disturbances in the "aura" which guide me to the area most in need of the positive energy. when my dad says he can feel heat from my hands passing straight through his knee and after a couple of sessions his knee has never felt better then i am inclined to say that it works for those who need it, science or not, i dont care for aura readings :D

If you stare in to a strangers eyes (in Western culture at least), people find it intrusive or aggressive so they will look away. So they aren't "turning away" because they've been rumbled. Can't you see that?

When someone knows they are being cared for it makes them better. When someone feels better they relax, when someone relaxes their body functions better. Also if someone thinks positively then their pain doesn't seem as bad. This is nothing mystical. There is no such thing as reiki energy fields however.

@cakeisnotanumber James Randi has demonstrated quite a few things in ways that surround everyone in a situation/scenario that is quite unfamiliar to start with and also a lot of these techniques that are so called proven false have to be applied in an atmosphere that is good for staying relaxed and focussed. it is more a show of defense towards science than actually providing a solid form of testing some of the wonderful ways in their best settings :D

I'd check out a similar thing with dowsing. Search on here for 'Dawkins dowsing' minus quotes. The people are so surprised when they are told their guesses are no better than random. Maybe these people really believe they have powers, when they clearly don't.

You think of your friends and family a lot day to day, however when they don't call you don't think it's significant that you thought of them. However occasionally when you do get it right you think you're psychic.

@SuperDirtPig Also re the phone thing, the way memory works is that if a memory is associated with a strong emotion (positive or negative) then people are more likely to remember it. So you tend to forget all the times when people call and you weren't thinking of them, or when you think of someone and they don't call. You see as ever intelligent educated people really can explain all those things.

@cakeisnotanumber disproved or not it works and is very powerful, there are other specific healers that have found the introduction to Reiki has strengthened their use of energies in healing and found that is has been in fact stronger. my own Reiki experience is small yet i have found the benefits amazing, i have also had reflexology that is proven and yes that is very relaxing and works also. what ever you believe in i guess and what works for you :D

Since i was 7 i was able to pick up aura's and see things that aren't there i tell myself it's not true telling myself that this is the world around me locking myself away. I went outside off to my local store with my step-father once first time in weeks that i have stepped outside. I freeze for about 5 seconds flat see a bunch of flashing images and a screech with a crash. I come out of it while my dad hurry's me along as we walk down the steps a car crash not 20 feet away from me happens.

1: get yourself a new father.
2: do anything you can to get away from him, this one is important. i know he is your farther and you probably love him and care for him, but if it is for your own good, then stay away from him.
these are the most important thing i can say to you right now, get away from him, permanantly or until he no longer needs you to feed upon energy, and that is a number of reasons. but first off all, love yourself.

I believe that you've connected emotion and feelings to ones physical body therefore giving you a different perception of them. Example a positive person will have an aura that is bright because that is our perception of happiness, when someone who is quite negative you will percieve a darker aura.

Get a cardboard tube and hold it next to your open hand. now look through the tube with one eye and your open hand with the other .... This photo tequnique is known as Kirlian photography or bioelectrography. It doesnt measure anything as freaky as bioresonent "life force" but something much more mundane. What it efectivly measures is PERSPERATION! More sweat = bigger aura! this image is caused by what is known as a corona plasma dischargegenerated when you apply high voltage high frequency electromagnetic field to an electrically conducting object. If you were a real follower of Christ, you'd know that he meditated often. Moses, if I'm not mistaken, found the ten commandments after fasting in the desert for 40 days. To me, the way I understand and "feel" "dimensions" is it is an alternate state of being. Have you ever had that feeling where you are outside of reality? Or sometimes you see in front of you a scenery that isn't there....and then you snap out of it. Thats sorta how i experience other dimensions.... IDK what do you think am I just a nut C :

You can usually see the etheric aura right away, or after a few days at least. It's a matter of 'tuning in' to that mode of perception -- so it's not like you'll necessarily see them everywhere unless you actually intend to.
I was probably 18 or so when I learned the technique that Tom Chalko teaches. There are others that work well too however... But generally the younger you are the faster results you'll have with aura sight.

I'm Christain, I love God, and i've never been an Athiest... Another thing, i'm not going against this "religion". I'm going against this weirdo flake posting this weird video that describes nothing... I'm not against Vipnassa, but I just don't think you should act like this dude is acting, all "anti-social", and weird... It would creep anyone out easily. He talks like a creepy eight year old fed compliments that hes special... He talks of "stuff" coming from the "astral" world coming into this?

I'm working on some new videos that are going to take a more direct approach to explaining how the aura relates to the astral plane. My earlier videos are somewhat ambiguous for individuals who haven't done meditation before. Thanks for your feedback.

Auras were a part of early Christianity when the spiritual practices were more in tune with the mystical...such as iconography allowed for the depiction of otherworldly things. Auras are still common in the Eastern half of the Roman Christian Empire...and they are not considered a Satanic deception as is taught in the West. A golden halo (aura) is just the encasement of the personal aura inside...a symbol of inheritance of every human being...as all are called, in love, to experience the Divine.

You sound like a lesser person with your fixation on negative fear thinking. I think your the one with the issues. Were you raised by irrational religious people? You must have easily rebelled against them to join the Atheist Religion because something must have happened to make you afraid of the bigger reality so you find comfort in shallow 3D thinking because it must be so rational to depend on reactions to everything instead of contemplating to create anything. God=Energy. Deal with it.
