Joshua Technology did not develop the front end, they were merely a contractor hired to work on the UltraCade System.
HyperSpin is not related to UltraCade or UltraCade products and merely has the ability to display a pick list of games similar to UltraCade. HyperSpin is far more configurable and flexible than the UltraCade System and will surpass it in features very quickly as it is being developed by a community effort.

@bradmonk69 I don't care for it either, it's a bit much. I have Maximus Arcade, I think it's perfect and it's easy to set up too :)
