wasnt that a little deep in the water? The intake is at the level of the headlights... you woudnt want to get bogged in there.

looks like, but in reality was depth just about 30cm - this us just a "wave" - there was just drops on plastic motor cover. Intake is behind and was dry. You´re right - i dont wanna be bogged there.....:-)

acoustix09 I have a 03 forester The wife and I go to the beach all the time. do not worry about the sand. I have driven in sand so soft you can't hardly walk in it the subaru will not even spin a tire. I have driven in the ruts where other trucks got stuck. I have 101% respect for the durabilty of the subaru

Remove your sway bars when offroad will give you more flex in your suspension and should keep your wheels on the ground a bit more over the rough stuff. Nice car and nice drift at the start, I drive a 99 gt foz need to fix some things on before I take it offroad again.

how do you know if you getting a locker rear. is that what the xt means?

rear is LSD - limited slip differential - cca 30% - you cannot feel, when it working....you must trust you Fozz:-)

XT just means Turbo. Most foresters are a 2.5X the 2.5XT means Turbo. horse of a different color it is too! I have driven/owned almost every type of subaru and enjoy the Forester XT and Outback XT the best. atleast for offroad and beach excusions. i Surf and love strapping the boards to the roof and crusing to the beach.Its nice if you can get to a beach that you can drive on. Never gotten stuck with a subaru,. Just remember the VDC button and turn it off when you want to have fun

I have one of these my06 foresters. It has a full 3" mrt exhaust system with a 3" tip! Downside is it's so thirsty it uses 15 litres every 100kms! That's alot but it makes the forester more quicker!!

Got my 2004 Forester XT almost 5 years ago. Yes it is a quick little suv and yes it is pretty good offroad as well. But the best part is how well it is built. Not one problem out of it yet. Nice video by the way.

We have an '04 2.0X. Same here, though the panels start to rattle a bit, not one single mechanical or electrical problem yet. Nice car, indeed.

yes nad it's all for real. i have an urban gray metallic and it is nothing short of phenomenal. i have long work days and at the end of each, it's a pleasure to get into my 5spd short throw shift equipped XT and blast home.
