  • This is the kind of alternate take that makes some hate Tull and makes me Love Tull. What a crusher.

  • I saw the very first live performance of Passion Play live at Empire Pool , WembleyUK.

It was f******in' brilliant. Critics hammered it and JT was pilloried !!

What the hell do they know?

  • Uncle Ian at his best.! I didn't come across Nightcap till the mid to late 90's. With Ian's increasing ovious vocal problems of that era this whole album was like a much needed breath of fresh air. Although recorded in the 70's it became my favorite of the late 90's as I found " Roots" not to my liking and Dot Com was so damn long in coming

  • great photos!

  • It's so unbelievable great and fantastic,

    I love it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to embrace you all!

I saw the "Passion Play" Tour live in in CCH Hamburg 1973,

this was the first concert I ever attendet,

and I am grateful, that I may hear this indescribably wonderful music!

    Thanxxx so much!!!

    J E T H R O T U L L for eternity................!!!

  • Rock N' Roll!

  • I saw consecutive tours -- probably 10 or so -- beginning in 1974 in Hersheypark Arena, PA, then Philly at the Spectrum. I, too, regret not seeing this tour, though a good friend, a tidy bit older than I, saw it. She said it was incredible, the first musical "play" she ever imagined seeing. Incredible genius. Martin Barre is so incredible. Now I'm in TX and Tull skips the hick state, for some reason.

  • @dmemswiler They probably don't come too far south after the "nationalism" statement Ian made just after 911.

  • That's just bloody wonderful... I cried. I laughed... I played air guitar like a fool. Thank you.

  • this is totally blowing my mind, one of the best parts from a passion play

  • Tull Rocks !!! :D Greetings from a moroccan Tull fan :D

  • Pretty long sentences of influences to mental excercises. Thanks for sharing. :)

  • I never heard this song OMG is amazing!

  • Ian is a genius, I love him!

  • 100000 ou of 10.

  • Fucking amazing, as usual.

  • Out-fucking-standing to us " ladies" too!

  • @tsarevna212 Wow!! I'm impressed.. My wife never liked Tull, maybe that's why see left me for a country music lover... Better to have lost her than to have lost my Tull collection!!!!

  • @rickscafe13902 better off with the Tull collection :)

  • @badumpy I agree totally.

  • Gentlemen, what we have here is some out-FUCKING-standing Tull! Mr. Lung, thank you...

  • And your little sisters immaculate virginity wings away upon the bony shoulders of a young horse named george who stole sureptitiously into her geography revision!

  • @willdarling1609 Yeah I Get Those Lyric Stuck In My Head THen Start Singing Them Out Loud!!

  • yo where's my bong? ahaha memories from back in the dayy... :)

  • What an incredibly creative and confident sound. Jethro Tull was so unique and odd, yet their musical and theatrical ability ascended them to international stardom. It's not hard to see why.

Thanks so much for the upload :) great sound quality.

  • Jethro tull a band much ahead of some bands that come after them ;)!

  • Oh dear, 29 views and no stars, we can't have that can we ?!

    Never mind, soon sorted...

  • Thanks Roddy. Now did you manage to listen to the whole song!? haha!

  • hey,aqualung71. i was fortunate enough to have seen the original "passion play" tour 7 times, here in the new york area. when this part of the piece came up, i just got so blown away every time! i hope someday, ian decides to put out an official live(from that time)recording of this wonderful piece of genius. anyway, till then, i have to make do with my two vinyl disc l.a.forum concert, that luckily, i have. oh, and by the way, i went to fulham road, and, there was a rush!

  • This is bloddy wonderful!!! i love it, I truly do. It makes me long all the more to have seen the "Passion Play" tour live & in-person -- it's one of my great regrets that I missed out on witnessing that show.

You know what? I did a wicked thing. I took the Chateau d'Isaster tracks and edited them into the "Passion Play" CD, as sort of bonus tracks wherever I thought they fit best. Personally, I think it's great. However, I doubt that Ian would appove.

Thanks so much for sharing, Aqua.
