Thanks for posting this. I was fortunate to see Tyner and Bartz perform this piece at a small supper club in San Diego last month. It was a religious experience - a true inspiration.
Eric Gravatt, one of the most underrated drummers. His drumming on "Focal Point" is one of the most energetic performances of modern jazz history. Good to see him again. Love that guy. Watch his performance in Weather Report Live in Japan.
I must see McCoy this year. I saw Gary Bartz 9 years ago at the Smithsonian here in DC and it was one of the best ,concerts I have been to in my 33 years of planetary experience!
