My uncle Don was Porter's best friend, and when Dolly left the show Don became Dolly's manager. He has been with Dolly ever since. Dolly and Porter kind of had a falling out at that time but became great friends again.

My uncle sent my grandma a news paper clip about when Porter died and there was a picture of Don and Dolly at his funeral Donwas crying and Dolly had her arms wrapped around him. I know Dolly she comes and sees my family when shes around. She really is the sweetest women.

I agree with u as it was Dolly on that night in September 1977 that told Reba what to do in her quest to become a star. Notice Dolly did not took Reba under her wings and manipulate her, she told her how to go about it. Now no one will be as BIG as Dolly. Dolly had to leave the Porter show because she was too big for that show...

"Here You Come Again" is a great song! I will never forget when that album came out. It made so much news with "DOLLY IS GOING POP!" I love the story she told about how Mac Davis let her open some shows for him in the mid-70's 'cause she "STEPPED IN IT A LITTLE" trying to grow with her music. Country, Pop, or Rock, I think her music is just "DOLLY PARTON"
