The AI on prologue was so fucking gay, hopefully they've fixed it so they actually make mistakes and don't do the same thing every restart. So keen for GT5 though
it's nice to see some damage in GT. But i would really like FULL mechanical damage, as close to real life as possible. That would be very hard and very awesome!
@dude2106 I dunno if the PS3 can handle full damage as well as amazing graphics, it must take up a certain amount of space to program hence they have to limit the damage to maximise the graphics.
@mugenzero1 Yeah near 100% real damage has so many parameters that we would probably have to wait for PS4 and GT7 before we see that, but they have made some sort of full damage on race cars. Another problem is that the car manufactures don't want people to see what really happens when the car get's smashed into a wall at 200km/h, so the damage on the road cars are limited to scratches in the paint. As far as i know.

probably better than 3. while GT5 doesnt have as much exterior customizing options, but it doesnt matter because constantly making your ride look better on the outside wont effect gameplay at all and you wont even spend as much time actually driving the car. in GT5, though, there are millions of intersior customizing options, and each little tweak will change how you ride as it would in the real world. id rather have that than the ablility to put master chiefs head on my car. plus GT5 way better

GT5 will have around 1000 cars with plenty of tracks, customizing abilities, full online mode, 3 SP career modes, GT TV and everything is rendered twice as much as your crappy Forza 3.
I have played Forza 3 and the cars feel ATROCIOUS! The cars in GT1 felt much better. I wont lie that the exterior customizing tools were fun, but in the me and my friend spent most of our time choosing what colour to make the car than actually driving it.

It's not just what i think. for years, professional drivers (a race of which you are not part of) have been playing the GT games and constantly naming the most realistic racing game. It's the main reason why GT5 has around 1000 cars across numerous car manufacturers compared to Forza 3s 400 cars, which pales to even GT4s 600 cars. GT5 has so many cars is because manufacturers trust Polyphonic with their cars. because they no GT is, and has always been the definitive driving simulation.

I do agree that GTs better though, the car selections better and the menus are readable. Could barely read most of Forza 3s menus and some were just impossible.
@bisque I found Forza 3 to be okay, aside from the uneeded SUVS that get in your way, the locked cars you have to pay an extra $20 for (that the AI can use freely), and the barely readable menus.

not for me, i was never really into simulation mode, that was more of my brothers thing. im gonna either play arcade with friends or online. any solo game id do would probably just be the nascar mode or the other racing mode. (i forgot what its called.)
Gran Turismo has realistic physics and customization. Now it has damage, Poly has fully redeemed itself by making a true driving simulator, but I still want more.
A little disappointed that PD still hasn't included realtime tire marks on the asphault tracks. That's something that they could have gotten done all the way back on GT3. You've got all these photorealistic cars making their way around a photorealistic track......and they aren't leaving any tire marks when they skid or veer hard into a turn. Just detracts from the presentation a bit. Small detail, I know.....but it's been bothering me since GT2.
I've always loved GT, won't buy a PS3 til this comes out, I don't care about the AI, I just wanna buy the cars I like, tune them, then burn them round the 'ring, and I think on-line's gonna be the bomb P*E*A*C*E
they finally added more physics to the game. I saw the guy bump into another car from the rear tire and that car wiggled like how its suppose to like in real life cuz of steering correction by the driver. in the old games the damn car would just slide sideways.
On a track everything like that is absent, and the track is wider and objects are often far away. The speed in GT5 is correct otherwise lap times wouldn't be so close to real life lap times on cars.
you replied saying the speed sense is fine because tracks are wider and sense of speed slows down? I acknowledge that statement.
However, that statement is hihgly flawed when it comes to street racing like this video here. In the heart of tokyo, things are much more colluded and narrower than on tracks; therefore, the sense of speed should be a lot faster. But looking at this, it made no difference than on tracks.
So it tells you that, GT didnt do a correct simulation.
I love how at 2:05 all the retard AI cars just plow into him despite having about 10 feet behind him to pass by. I see tey haven't touched the AI for this game yet. Sad.

Hmm, I see the computer AI's intelligence hasn't improved yet...
It seems the vehicles will do anything to complete the course even if they have to run over or drive through another car.
However I still anticipate the release of this game. :) Just need a steering wheel!

probably better than 3. while GT5 doesnt have as much exterior customizing options, but it doesnt matter because constantly making your ride look better on the outside wont effect gameplay at all and you wont even spend as much time actually driving the car. in GT5, though, there are millions of intersior customizing options, and each little tweak will change how you ride as it would in the real world. id rather have that than the ablility to put master chiefs head on my car. plus GT5 way better

this isnt the final game you douchebag. in case you didnt notice, its a DEMO. even a baby kows that a demo isnt the final game. plus that video you linked to, THATS ALSO A DEMO! it only has one car (2 versions) and 1 track. plus the damage isnt featured in it yet SO ITS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE FULL PRODUCT!
GT5 will have around 1000 cars with plenty of tracks, customizing abilities, full online mode, 3 SP career modes, GT TV and everything is rendered twice as much as your crappy Forza 3.

I have played Forza 3 and the cars feel ATROCIOUS! The cars in GT1 felt much better. I wont lie that the exterior customizing tools were fun, but in the me and my friend spent most of our time choosing what colour to make the car than actually driving it.

It's not just what i think. for years, professional drivers (a race of which you are not part of) have been playing the GT games and constantly naming the most realistic racing game. It's the main reason why GT5 has around 1000 cars across numerous car manufacturers compared to Forza 3s 400 cars, which pales to even GT4s 600 cars. GT5 has so many cars is because manufacturers trust Polyphonic with their cars. because they no GT is, and has always been the definitive driving simulation.

GT is leagues ahead of forza. forza was a quick product so 360 fans would have a racing game. its pretty sub par though. all anyone who has it can talk about is exterior customisation, and thats got nothing to do with driving. And yes i played GT5 prologue, and its a piece of shit compared to forza. The driving feels exactly like GT4. The graphics are pretty nice( for its release year) but thats it. How can you compare a demo to a full game anyway?

not for me, i was never really into simulation mode, that was more of my brothers thing. im gonna either play arcade with friends or online. any solo game id do would probably just be the nascar mode or the other racing mode. (i forgot what its called.)

A little disappointed that PD still hasn't included realtime tire marks on the asphault tracks. That's something that they could have gotten done all the way back on GT3. You've got all these photorealistic cars making their way around a photorealistic track......and they aren't leaving any tire marks when they skid or veer hard into a turn. Just detracts from the presentation a bit. Small detail, I know.....but it's been bothering me since GT2.

they finally added more physics to the game. I saw the guy bump into another car from the rear tire and that car wiggled like how its suppose to like in real life cuz of steering correction by the driver. in the old games the damn car would just slide sideways.

On a track everything like that is absent, and the track is wider and objects are often far away. The speed in GT5 is correct otherwise lap times wouldn't be so close to real life lap times on cars.

However, that statement is hihgly flawed when it comes to street racing like this video here. In the heart of tokyo, things are much more colluded and narrower than on tracks; therefore, the sense of speed should be a lot faster. But looking at this, it made no difference than on tracks.
So it tells you that, GT didnt do a correct simulation.

when you do that speed in a real car even just on a dual-carridgeway it feels criminally slow.
