  • What music is playing at 2:19

  • I used to be a knight of Rohan... until I took an arrow to the knee

  • What pisses me off that there is no more movies what really live up to this, makes me sad I really want another amazing movie like this!

  • @xLiamKennnedyx LOTR has to be the best movie of all-time.

It is more like one entire movie divided into 3 parts, hence why I count it as one, large movie in this case. Now there is enough hope for 'The Hobbit' being atleast comparable,

but I do not expect it to be better than LOTR - that would ask for quite alot and this storyline just triumphs over all. But hey, the person responsible for The Hobbit was also responsible for the epic LOTR movies, so more epicness is coming!

  • @CaptainJaller Yeah I understand The Hobbit will be good but I can't imagine that there is gonna be action like this in it. I really hope they bring action like this too it because I've been watching these movies since they came out and they never get old!

I will always say no film will beat this! Counting all three of them as one!

  • and that is the charge of the light brigade

  • my right ear enjoyed this.

  • what music is this??

  • The Battle of Helm's Deep has been named as one of the greatest screen battles of all time.

  • @tehspinningninja

First, learn how to write rohirrim, second @ all; the srory of the lord of the rings is just the summit of a really big mountain, ive learnt a lot of things over tolkiens work, and over the universum of lord of the rings; its an epic story, or better a little piece of a much bigger history!

  • watch?v=0OrJGndBq0Y&hd=1

  • Ride your shiny pony!

  • Theoden + Aragorn = Gaddafi

    Mordor = NATO

  • I wish everyone could understand how deep and emotional and full of messages LotR is. Many just think of it as one of those Fantasy movies where you just kill a lot of people and etc. No, LotR is so much more, it's a story about friendship, about faith, about hopes of better times combined with exitement and epic battles.

It actually took me a long time to understand how deep and beautiful this story is, it made me laugh and cry, this is one of them.

LotR is a masterpiece from here to eternity.

  • so epic, the horn sounds like something from a black metal song

  • Can some one name the movies in order for me plz thanks

  • I want to see the 300 spartans against 10'000 Uruk-hai! Spartans will win!

  • that is one steep ass hill

  • One word might be able to describe this.

    Epic.

  • Goosebumps :)

  • Now for wrath, now for ruin. And the Red Dawn!

  • Theoden is *ucking epic bastard!

  • A lot of orcs lost theirs heads back there ! i know i was there :D

  • epic book?

  • the rohirram are idiots. they shouldve just chucked huge boulders down the big slope and crushed all the urukhai. but then a straggler would kill eomer. and then theoden. and that is where my masterplan comes in. heheheheeee.

  • epic....

  • youtube.com/watch?v=xkrOGX5k_DM

This is amazing!!!! :D Please watch if you like Lord of the Rings or comedy!!!

  • FUCKEN EPIC!

  • Aragorn: "Ride out and meet them."

    Théoden: "For death and glory?"

Aragorn: "For Rohan. For your people."

    Gimli: "The sun is rising."

Théoden: "Yes. Yes! The horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep, one last time."

    Gimli: "Yes!"

Théoden: "Let this be the hour when we draw swords together."

Théoden: "Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath. Now for ruin. And the red dawn!"

    Théoden: "Forð Eorlingas!"

  • @samuelsyks That quote gives me chills every time i read it lol

  • Simply Epic... Is there any other kind?

  • those are some mighty strong horses..

  • '' A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives preceisly when he means too''

  • i love the voice at 1:37 but i can never find the sountrack for that particular spot! it is bugging me because that is such a reoccurring voice

  • team liquid!!!!!!!

  • prooootect helmsss deeeepppp for victorrrrrryyyyyy

  • Somehow, the Riders of Rohan multiplied from about 250-25000 within the course of five days... There seems to be something wrong with that, no?

  • it makes me completly sad to see that all like, 200 elves ALL died

    along with Haldir

like 98% of the rohhirim died

even the little boys that fought

    i mean look

the only survivors were theoden, aragorn, legolas, gimli, gamling, and a few rohan soldiers, like only 12 at THE MOST maybe 7 or 8

damn and there is STILL like, 5,000 uruks left out of the initial 10,000

damn they killed so many yet got pwned so hard :'(

  • reminds me of when legolas asks gimli if he wants a box to stand on so he can see

  • I love the scene when the rohirrim charge down the hill and slaughter the orcs. it always reminded me of the polish winged hussars at vienna in 1683, slaughtering the numerically superior forces of the ottomans.

i read that tolkien was actually inspired by the siege of vienna when he wrote about helm's deep.

    polish and damn proud!

    FOR ROHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Jakub2610 Yep, Jan Sobieski was great, and Czech defenders of Vienna (in the service of Austria) too. Ironically, one of the two top leaders of defence was a grandson of one of 27 Czech noblemen executed in Prague in 1621, after the Czech uprising against Habsburgs was supressed... And also a shame to Austria, what they did to Poland about 100 years later, erasing it from maps in alliance with Preussia and Russia...

  • @MichalFokt so true...

  • @Jakub2610 Gratitude is a feeling rarely displayed by leaders and politicians. Poland has experienced it som any times, but hey... that's life.

  • @Jakub2610 Gratitude is a feeling rarely displayed by leaders and politicians. Poland has experienced it so many times, but hey... that's life.

  • where did the horses come from LOL?

  • @ikbenAlphastar

The most epic of the trilogy!

    Only one might top this.

Arargorn's speech at the black gate.

  • 1.look at my name

    2. Tears

    3. Awesome

    4. Lotr fan.

    5. I love helms deep!

  • Cool!

  • the kingdom of rohan should have ended that day but because of cliched story telling the good guys survived

  • Man that slope is steep

  • so beautifull :(( i was crying at the end :((

  • "Now for wrath, now for ruin, and a RED DAWN!!!"

  • Gandalf: WHO'S HANKERIN FOR A SPANKERIN?!

  • @dellerbeller

The reply is even more epic... "Ride out with me. Ride out and meet them!"

Spit in the face of death

  • Are there any goblins in LOTR?I only see them in LOTR TBFME 2 strategy game.

  • @Extrasailor - I don't think so - though I do think they were mentioned. I believe they were breeded to create a new type of Orc. :S

  • @Extrasailor orc is elven for goblin

  • The part where Gandalf shows up is the best.

  • haha imagine if one of the horses in the front trips as there running down lol

  • 17 people are jelous orcs

  • that sucks uruk-hai basically took this fortress with ease and the only thing that made them loose was the sun? ....i wish haldir was still alive .and i wish boromir was still alive !!

  • kick as movie

  • Rohirrim!!!

  • "Now for wrath, now for ruin, and the Red Dawn!"

  • this movie is full of epic lines:

"Theoden King stands alone... not alone. Rohirrim!! TO THE KING!"

pure courage honor and loyalty in Eomer Wooow! O_O!

"The Horn of Helm Hammerhand should sound in the Deep one last time!"

"Where is the Horse and the Rider? Where is the horn he was blowing? they had passed like rain on the mountains... like Wind in the Meadow. the days had come down into the West... behind the hills... into Shadow".

  • for lordaeron!!

  • where the hell the horse came from ??

  • @ToolArmy951

Rohan wasn't underpowered against Isengard, but their hordes were in disarray. Gandalf went to bring them to battle.

  • @Cyberspine I mean at 1:56

  • epic lines, epic music, epic actors, epic everything

  • @supersizecoke You said it my wise friend :)

  • This version doesn't have the gay music, but the left sound channel is off... jesus christ....

  • "Let this be the hour when we draw swords together"

    OMG THAT PART BROKES ME

  • i have not read the book when i watched this movie in theaters. this is one of the many scenes where i instantly reached orgasm.

  • This is like the only version that doesn't have music! THANK YOU.

  • damn goose bumps when you see Gandalf and Eomer appear at the top of the hill. Rohirim!! the music, the direction everything was just EPIC about these movies. thumbs up if you agree!

  • STOP! ...Gandalf time!

  • where did they get all those horses???

  • @MrAlen94 They usually breed them...

  • Best LOTR 2 scene and BEST LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY SCENE!!!!

  • the mono audio is annoying

  • I loved the end of this battle (extended version) with the orcs being chased into the Hourn forest and Eomer cutting off the pursuers, telling them to stay out of the woods. I was thinking "What, stay out of the dark and creepy old forest that sprung up out of nowhere in the middle of the night? CAN DO!!"

  • what is the SONG !!!!!

  • THIS IS HOW TRILOGIES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EPIC althought last alliance i find more epic as a battle scene

  • Who are the 16 sackless faggots that thumbed this down?

  • "What can men do against such wreckless hate?"

    What a line.

  • @dellerbeller excellent line indeed, and the answer just equal:

"Ride out and meet them; For Rohan... and your People"

    cheers!

  • @dellerbeller why do people rate comments so high for reapeating a line from the video its so stupid

  • @dellerbeller And we still don't know the answer.

  • @Feanorielle

I do... Try and kill as many of them as possible

  • @Astrox123 But that just postpones the problem. Their orphaned kids will grow up hating you and one day will blow up your kids. Nice legacy for the next generation. Sounds like the only solution is to rid the world of us sick humans.

  • @Feanorielle

Or wait unti lthe sun blows us us all up..

  • @Feanorielle Look... If you think things will go to hell... Then so they will.

  • Best battle scene in the LOTR trilogy, absolutely epic.

  • @richiemo2000 I totally agree!

  • love this movie

    its asssssommmm =)

  • Most epic battle in all of LOTR in my opinion

  • @luckeyace1 Agreed.

  • @luckeyace1 I totally agree!

  • One of my fav battles next to that battles in 300

  • i remember the first time i saw this, one of the most epic battle scenes in history.

  • my favorite part of the series

  • well i just love this movie....:)

  • i think this is the best bit in all the trilogy

  • This is just one of the many reasons why the Lord of the Rings Trilogy got 11 AWARDS!!! Just thought I would point that out. =)

  • This scene gives me chills every time I watch it.

  • Easily one of the best and most beautiful movies EVER made

  • I think this scene is awsome and I like lotr for the action scenes, special effects and stuff like that but honestly the acting and story telling is not that good. I like it but it just annoys me that people think that lotr are untouchable

  • At 3:46 / 3:47 you see a head flying xD

  • I doubt if the scale, ambition, and emotional impact of this battle will ever be matched again. The entire theater was cheering from 3:11 to the end

  • The most pwnage part is 0:47 to around 1:29, excluding "the sun is rising".

It's really cool how Theoden understands and basically accepts the fact that he's gonna die right there, unblinking. "For death and Glory" is one of my favorite quotes in the entire movie.

  • exactly mine too

  • They had the horses with them inside the house? This is good but it would be better with Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone playing the main characters.

  • the sun is rising

  • I feel sorry for the horses

  • I thought Aragorn was going to say make love to me not ride out with me

  • LOL

  • I wanna see the TREES!

  • do you like lotr and runescape? watch my vids where i'll be showing some characters such as aragorn and gandalf! if u dont like rs dont watch.

  • Kun taas JUSSI JOKINEN olis pannu örkit sun muut nazi-kullit maan rakoon ja MESSIAANA pelastanut ylämaan, eiku minkä vitun sivumaan...no joka tapauksessa.

  • Vitun raukka Aragorn uskalsi sitte vasta ku näki valon, ku Gandalf oli luvannu ottaa sitlä suihin niinku hobiteiltaki.

Ei harmaa kelvannu, piti olla valkee.

  • This battle was much more even the books. Still, the movie was good too.

  • such a poweful scene! gives me goosebumps!

  • @roygeebivv i think they use that on alot of songs like fellowship of the ring, the ride of the rohirrim, the fellowship reunited but iam pretty sure is the fellowship reunited

  • Does anybody know what song plays from 2:45 - 3:05?

  • The song from 2:05 till end is Theoden Rides Forth. That particular theme from 2:45-3:05 is the regular LOTR theme.

  • thanks

  • but does the regular LOTR theme have name? I can't find it anywhere..

  • Yeah, Shore never really produced an individual piece with only that theme. The best rendition of it I would say though is the end of Gilraen's Memorial. Try that.

  • @roygeebivv

you can buy the sound tracks on CD so just goto a music shop and look at the case lol

  • @roygeebivv it's the theme of Gondor.

  • Lotrlegolas@ aragorn doesnt need a helm,he is so good like isildur

  • Gandalf is elite.

  • that is not an excuse its DANGEROUS osh

  • Why doesn't Aragorn use a stinkin' helm!!!

  • He knows he's a main character

  • @LOTRLEGOLASFAN88 he is too awesome
