Cheney derugulated the industry so bp can do what they want,bp did what they want in US waters but are more careful in Uk waters voluntarily.But if the gulf was with human fetus, cheney could not get away with deregulating the oil industry for the snowflake children. Bush would make sure of that.

You stopped short of addressing the fact that the current president would rather play golf 7 times, go on vacation, host white house events and pose for photo ops instead of being a leader. The billionaires of BP did not want to spend 500k that would have prevented this mess. Find out the names of BP, because they will sell fuel under different names. Avoid buying gas from BP company names. Google them and find out how to best boycott them.
