Growing Garlic : Determine the Right Time to Plant Garlic

Garlic grows best when it is subjected to a spell of cold weather but early grown garlic does not store well, so in the UK I plant a few bulbs in September October, then plant the main crop just before the cold month of February, UK weather. This allows some root growth but the top growth is not damaged by the frost.
