  • YAYYY DOGGGYYYSS OK NOW :)

  • EEEEeeeewwwww..... *hits replay*

  • i got one on my kidney

  • Poor doggy

  • Wooow i like hawaiian punch

  • Great video! However, I don't know how anyone can find medical procedures on humans or other animals disturbing. To me, the content of this video is totally natural and clinical. On the other hand, mind-numbing sitcoms with canned laugh tracks are very disturbing to me.

  • At least I have an idea of what they are doing to my kitty today....

  • Hawaiian Punch anyone?

  • very informative.

  • cesar? dog whisperer?

  • why you don't flush ???

  • My cat had an ear hematoma but it was very small. Luckly, the vet gave us the option for surgery and we opted out of it, thinking she was too old; she was 13 at the time. Little did we know she would die at 20.

  • jeez I hated these surgeries at the vet. Worst one I had to help with was a great dane that was mean as hell, you would just go near him and he would try and bite. Flopped his ears after 2 days after the surgery and blood went everywhere, drainage was not fun

  • i scared about my dog now :(

  • poor puppy

  • Are the stitches in the ear to basically try to force it to retain the flattened shape, so the blood doesn't build up again, but drains out? Or is there another reason?

  • @Juranti pretty much. they do it so that it helps keeo the incision open so that it can help drain anymore blood that might build up.

  • wow! really impressed with how the ear looked afterwards :-)

  • looked like a pizza roll lol.. glad he's better..

  • My Lab/pit mixed dog named Camilo, had this procedure done today. He's ear hematoma wasn't that big, it was approximately 1 inch diameter, I have to say that it's heartbreaking to see dogs in this situation. But I know that he will be just fine in few weeks!

  • my cat needs this opp later on at the PDSA in Newcastle =( .... I'm worried sick coz she's approx 13yrs old now, and the last cat (8yrs old) who had an op at the PDSA, ended up dying after tumours were found so they put her to sleep.

  • @SaberRXL Broken blood vessels. It's basically a bruise gone out of control.

  • poor pooch

  • Whoa I should not have skipped right away to 1:18

  • If you can't afford to take care of your pet, you shouldn't have one. End of story.

  • i thought this was a hot pocket at first then i was like OMMGG :'( </3

  • I have an ear infection on my self as I write this, and I feel like doing this to my self. I'm glad this does not happen to man.

  • leave it to a skimp with trailer park nails to let it get that bad.

  • poor piggy

  • @babe79100 that would be a dog. LEARN YOUR KIND, BABE.

  • @CallMeYoungSocrates i was just kidding damn

  • @babe79100 chill, chica. as was i.

  • wow thats crazy

  • can I do it?

  • holy shit

  • i feel for that poor animal. the procedure, however, was quite extraordinary.

  • OMGG O.O

  • damn he is rough with that ear

  • cauliflower ear

  • damn! looked like it was a stuffed ear

  • Must be a huge relief to to the dog. Does this happen more to dog's with cropped ears?

  • ILL DIZ IZ HORIBLE MAKE ME SICK

  • So thats all there is to it? Merely making an incision and letting it bleed out? What did you end up removing after you'd made the cut? Is it necessary for one to do that?

  • @wahttehfuk i think they were removing a blood clot? not sure. but they suture the skin down after it's drained. if you don't do that then the pocket just fills back up with blood again. :(

  • does it get any bigger than that? and if it does, could the animal die from it?

  • @seasan75 *looks at dog sitting a couple feet away* that's not a hoax, dude. my dog's ear's been drained with a syringe a couple times now.

  • I want to know why his owners would let it go on that long.

  • @DMoontear

chances are the owners didn't have the money to do this sooner... the reason I'm on this vid now is because I have a cat with a ear hematoma and trying to decide if I should try to drain his ear myself (with a syringe) or spend the last $250 to my name on him.... this could mean I'm short on my bills... not an easy decision.

  • @Redrum4409 i feel for you. having to make the same decision with my dog. we drained it a few times with a syringe but the pocket just fills right back up again. i've got things that really need that money right now, but what else can i do...

  • @bullitproofskin - You're DOG is more Important, The ANIMAL is more Important, make sure the Dog recieves the medical care it so despretely needs!!!

  • @AshesHeroes oh, look at you. you're a tasty little fucktard, there, commenting on a situation you don't know with multiple exclamations... yeah. i got the surgery, and i lost my car that month over choosing the $500 emergency vet bill over my only transportation. it's not the obvious decision, darling, because if i wound up living in the Salvation Army i can't take the dog with me, can i. the dog i just spent that money on would wind up in the pound and, as an adult, almost certainly euthanized

  • @bullitproofskin - as long as the Animal's allright, that's all that Matters...

  • @AshesHeroes you would put a dog before yourself? why would you do that? you miss a car payment and get your car taken away, how are you supposed to take your dog to the vet? how are you supposed to take care of your dog when you dont have any money? what about pet food? how are you supposed to pay for that if you just spent it all on vet bills? it's called prioritizing. as fucked up as it is, it's necessary.

  • @guitarhero2211 - as long as the Animal's allright, that's all that Matters...

  • @AshesHeroes well then you go ahead and give up your life for the dog. i'll take care of my animal when i can afford it because i have other things to worry about, like my wife and my baby.......you didnt think about those now did you? but i guess a dog trumps all of that. go join peta

  • @DMoontear huge hematomas of the ear in canines with large ear flaps can develop in hours. my dog just encountered this problem & it scared the living hell out of me to just look down and see this huge THING in my dog's ear that wasn't there the night before. add in that sometimes they can't get you in for a few days or want to treat the underlying infection with antibiotics first. the hematoma itself isn't an infection & my dog only reacts painfully if it's pressed on.

  • D; Animals always gets the worst... D; I hope they stay healthy!

  • I thought that was a pig.. o_o" THAT DOG IS SO CUTE!! OMG !!

  • It's awesome to see these videos! :D Thank you so much!

  • thats so sad.

  • How do you prevent the drainage from going down the infected ear post surgery?

  • That's one of the most important concern for the surgeon, depending on the length and position of the incision is where the fluid will flow.

  • @StreetRoadAnimal 1:30 What is that tissue you are removing & how come it was removed to begin with?

  • @Crkt4Eva he said in the video that it was just protein. Coagulated blood
