  • @Orgsgrym FUCK YES! True for me as well!

  • I love Isis, they are gods. but does aaron turner not know that the drum beat on "rhymin and stealin" (first song on license to ill) is a sample of "when the levee breaks"? just odd that he'd reference beastie boys, before zeppelin.

  • Nothing but respect for this band

  • holy fucking shit... AWESOME

  • I am going to listen to this band and music until i die :)

  • They told me not to say this but I fucking love this band.

  • @Dermo1985 - well if you go a few rows to the back, you'll see better, you'll also have a better overall sound without a risk of hearing damage =)

  • Thanks for the video!!!

  • its like a calm angry music

  • Turner is awesomely intelligent.

  • 0:20 lol

  • HARVEY MILK 'COURTESY AND GOOD WILL TO MEN'

OR 'MY LOVE IS HIGHER THAN WHAT YOUR ESTIMATE OF WHAT MY LOVE COULD BE'

  • haha, guy at 4:08 is wearing this in ear anti-loudness plugs... now, that's a sin! :D

  • @pootzko its called not going deaf to enjoy live music, you can still hear perfectly just doesnt damage your hearing as much

  • I can't believe the band is finished. I only just started getting into them several months ago. I would kill to see them live now, but I may never get the chance unless there is a reunion.

  • first song live is false light

  • fuck YES this made my day

  • ISIS is music. Its what keeps me alive everyday.

  • Best thing in the world

  • False Light -- Incredible track, one of my all time faves.

  • i love this fuckin band! they are my favorite next to Tool and Mastodon, why the fuck did they have to break up!

  • @VladFerdinand1

i feel your pain dude!!! really still find it hard to believe that they disbanded.

  • I never would have guessed the ISIS members were so young. They always sounded so....NOT like 'hardcore' teen d-bags!

  • @HarlotBug3 Ok, well how bout you keep that image you had before you saw them in person because that's all that matters. Besides, they are all in their 30's now.

  • Isis needs weed or hash! Please Help!

  • wow someone should set these guys up with Mastodon so everyone who goes just dies from the greatness

  • @AndrewFilmsInc they've done that, its called neurosis, neurosis is pretty much like isis, but is the members from mastodon

  • @dpglotus No one from Mastodon is in Neurosis, the bass/vocals for mastodon said that the only band he would want to be apart of is Neurosis.

  • Don't forget about the band The Ocean Collective

If you haven't heard of them I suggest you check them out

  • @Aenima2784 kick ass band

  • Nothing better than Isis.

  • well maybe one thing.....Bob Saggatt!

  • isis is completely amazing. check out the albums "Effloresce" by Oceansize, "Mr Beast" by Mogwai, or "Enter" by Russian Circles, there's tons of music as good as this out there, you have to look around for it though :)

  • what is the song called at the beggining of the clip?

  • @astroman2012.... "Dulcinea" from In the Absence of Truth

  • thanks jake.

  • @astroman2012 The Song at the very very beginning is "Wrist of Kings" from the same album.

  • Didn't know fellani was an Isis fan.One for my Everton heads there. I'm out what!

  • glad to see i'm not the only one who enjoys an ISIS live show with his eyes closed !!!

  • heard these 4 the 1st time other day was immeadiately impressed and hooked already check em out there good

  • In my humble oppinion Isis is the best band doin it right now. Cynics latest masterpiece was great..mastodons puttin out great albums...but no one draws you in quite like Isis (if you let them)....great musicians better band

  • Comparing Isis to Cynic is like comparing Metallica to Sigur Ros to me. Isis is closer to Post Rock, Sludge bands. Cynic are more on the lines of tech death. Mastodon could be compared. I prefer Isis though.

  • @jerradcwilliams True, but i try not to get into what bands sub genres are...i like what i like...i look for certain things in music and i might find that in any particular sub-genre.......i was not comparing isis to cynic or mastodon...simply saying what the cream of the crop is...BTW...Baroness is also on top of the metal genre these days....red album and blue album are amazing go get them ASAP

  • The Allmighty ISIS!!!

  • That loser in the with the fro tapping the stage is beyond aggravating!

  • I love Isis. Saddens me that the guy in the front has ear plugs and I can't even make an Isis show.

  • I wear ear plugs at gigs too. If you are in the music business for eg, and you record and mix music, you can't not wear ear plugs. Music gigs damage your hearing a lot.

  • what is the second live song the are playing??

I have most their albums but that seems unfamilar.

  • False Light from Oceanic

  • thanks mate, i really appreciate it!

  • Aaron Turner is GOD!

  • Neurosis meets Tool

  • no, a good band that stands alone. why do you need to reference a good band with another?

  • Cause the influence of these bands is obvious. It's not like they are copying them, it's just amazing how inspiration of totally different aspects can alter into something unexpected

  • big influence

  • the crowd is such a sausage fest... why dont hot chicks like this music?

  • Ah now, it's probably just a French thing - there were plenty at the Manchester show a coupla nights ago... :P

  • The best looking girl I've ever seen in my life was at an ISIS concert in San Francisco this summer. They're around, just not in abundance.

  • This band is everything music should be.

  • Awesome Pagan music.

  • the new tool :D

  • Maybe when Tool's over they'll have a chance at that spot.

  • tool is neve over! muhaha! actually they have said that "we are over until one of us dies"

  • How dare you say that?

    It's different. Beautiful nevertheless.

  • noise!!

  • These guys have been such a big influence on my own music, I have to give thanks to them for opening my mind to so much more. Because of them I have found hundreds of other great bands over the years!

  • Same here! Aren't you just compelled to make beautiful metal music?

  • truth man they surround themselves with great musicians. plus aarons record label hydra head. amazing stuff

  • cannot describe it better, man!

  • this band is beautiful

  • this band does not get the credit that it deserves. And I am sick of everyone bagging on in the absence of truth. I think the reason it has such a bad rap is because it moved away from the constant black metal vocals and was more musically in depth. It through the fans from the previous albums though a loop because of how much more creative it was. Its by far my favorite album from these guys. But hey. I like them all

  • Dude your 100% right - I too am sick of fans who dont want (or cant accept) a band that can evolve over time. Theres too many metal heads in the world who judge a band ONLY on their ability to scream. Turners clean vocals on ITAOT made it what it was - it was more controlled and moved away from generic 'heavy' into a genre of its own. Im with you though dude - ISIS FOREVER!

  • this is the entire document;finally! Thanks for posting this.

  • Isis are the cats meow

  • love the coordinated short hair headbanging soooo much :D

  • You are a PRICK !!!

  • Such an amazing band.

  • he's an intellegent man aaron turner, i agree with everything he says in this video.
