after I attempt the fs=fat32 command it returns "Virtual Disk Service error: The volume size is too small." Any ideas? I'm trying to salvage a corrupted 32gb key, and diskpart only recognizes it as 8mb

I followed the instructions but when i type format fs=fat32...the window says

volume size too small...wtf?

You need to use 'CLEAN ALL'. If you don't put 'ALL' after 'CLEAN', only the first and the last Megabyte off the disk are deleted.

type cmd format F: then enter,,after you press d enter,remove d usb from d port and try to put it back then press enter again,,just wait untill d format is complete..when format is complete remove d usb again and put it back then click format disk and its done.;-)

@madlangpeeps I had a corrupt USB key than he said the same thing, and i had to buy another one ... maybe is the same problem i guess if you don't have a button for unprotect the USB drive ....
