Thanks a lot for the upload (IceveinsProductions) and for the information (John Scully), certainly the fight has become even better, knowing that! Terry's hands are fast as lightning!
Christianson was a LONG TIME amateur who actually lost to Johnny Bumphus in or around 1980 at 139 pounds. One day after he beat Gerald at 156 he beat a kid on my team named Robert Perez who one day earlier had beaten then #1 ranked Michael Moorer. Like I say, Terry was a STELLAR amateur (as this video shows)
Terry lost in 1980 to Johnny Bumphus at 139....lost to John Scully (me) at 165 in 1988....defeated McClellan here in 1986.... and in between had hundreds of other fights and won many titles along the way. Fought Internationally for the USA, too.

Good stuff John. I thought Terry was just a random amateur boxer with one big showing. I read your Maxboxing article on the amateurs, very interesting.
well good footage mate. i love how mcclellan floats around the ring with his elbows up ready to pop a left-right combo. same technique with his pro fights
I was the one who put the CG on that video. I should know better! I can't believe I did that... You'd think someone they call "The Boxing Guru" would at least spell a great Champions name right!
Terry Christenson looks like a damn good fighter doing his thing against the G-man like this.

Great stuff, as always, Iceveins and John Scully.
Does video exist of G-Man's decision win over Roy Jones as an amateur?
Whatever happened to Terry Christenson?

Terry Christianson from Omaha was a TOP ranked amateur boxer with over 300 bouts to his credit. Gerald losing to him was no shame, believe me.

Interesting tidbit, didn't know Christenson was such a decorated amateur.

Who would have thought that the same kid would later become one of the most ferocious punchers in boxing
